  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 08:05 AM) I started this thread nearly two years ago. Are we even any closer to a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight? Further.
  2. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 06:57 AM) http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CL...199407220.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CL...200107060.shtml Sorry to hijack the thread but look at Frank's numbers in the first box score...HA!
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) A big letdown. Huge. Typical Cena bull crap after Punk had been bringing the best out of him for the last few weeks now. The end of Raw was way to pre-Punk shoot WWE. Awful.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 06:15 PM) As much as I wanted Viciedo promoted a month ago, he's been brutal for a few weeks. Something obviously is not right with him, so I'm not going to lose sleep over him not being with the big league club right now. Yes. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 09:22 PM) I would say his injured hand has a lot to do with it. Double yes.
  5. Can we get a raw that's just 2 hrs of Punk on the mic?
  6. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 06:38 PM) I'm still holding out for Punk Vs Bryan Corporate stable vs. a new stable of indy guys lead by punk I told my buddy yesterday that imo Bryan having the MITB it too out of no where for him to not be involved with Punk in some way, but I actually think it could possibly lead to him being in a stable with Punk as you mentioned.
  7. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 12:29 PM) Did others not enjoy Goldmember? I know it was the worst of the three Austin Powers movies, but I still found it funny. I was a fan.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 10:12 PM) This is pretty impressive http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/multime...ent_id=17960703 Holy damn!
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 02:38 PM) Is that a good thing? David Kaplan Big Z: "I received text messages of support from Sosa, Byrd, Ozzie, Jason Giambi, Pena, and Soriano." Also said he and Soriano are cool. That's quite the group of winners right there.
  10. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 10:19 AM) Unwarranted resistance to change Our organization is stupid, not resilient.
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 10:27 PM) ADR the champ kind of predictable to make Cena look great as always and Punk a transitional champ. Big Sexy was a suprise. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 01:12 PM) I do not like it either Punk looks super weak here. This is flawed logic. So Punk beats Cena(granted it wasn't a clean win) and then gets blind sided by a "7 foot monster" and somehow this makes Punk look weak and Cena great? I will agree that it would be insanely stupid if Punk is a transitional champ but I really think you guys are jumping to conclusions way to quick on this. Nobody has any idea where this is going to go and if I had to guess this is setting up a bigger story of Punk vs. a corporation stable where Punk chases the title through their Mexico tour and wins it back when they come back to the states. Punk stays in the main storyline, new stable is formed and then Punk gets his nice, long title reign after the Mexico tour, everybody wins. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 01:22 PM) Over the past month, it's so disappointing what's happened in the WWE since the second MITB ended. I really disagree with this. They've kept me entertained and intrigued every week. The whole thing has been very unpredictable and Raw is a must watch again tonight to see where they're going with this angle.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 07:25 AM) A former co-worker got bit by a brown recluse spider. A f***ing spider bite. http://www.acponline.org/graphics/bioterro...own_spider2.jpg He wound up in the hospital FOREVER. The spider bite f***ing kills s***. http://images.emedicinehealth.com/images/4...10729-42553.jpg (not co-worker, but similar. Moral of the story? Shoot yourself in the head if you get bit by a recluse. His arm is still f***ed up. Carbondale has a s*** ton of those things. Had a friend wake up with one of those crawling on her blanket one night, she freaked out just a bit... I've also had a couple of friends get bitten by them and they don't have holes on their bodies or anything like that. If you know you've been bitten and get to the hospital fairly quickly, you'll be ok. That being said, if you don't know your bitten and wait around, you're in trouble, nasty stuff.

    QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 12:17 AM) The more things change, the more they stay the same College me has been back for the last couple of weekends now, it's kind of scary actually. I can write a f***in book from everything that went down last weekend. The SIU crew getting back together is just bad for my life.
  14. QUOTE (OilCan @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 08:51 PM) well, that sucked. and that wasn't much of a shocker. Seeing the way it ended tonight, not much of a shocker. Nash coming out wasn't a shocker? Please. ADR cashing in the MITB was predictable but nothing else was. They can go so many ways with this story, I'm excited to see what they do.
  15. Really, really enjoyed Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Oh and Con Air is f***in awesome, the end.
  16. Sucks that Punk isn't the champ and I hate Del Rio but I think we might get a corporate stable vs. Punk type feud which should be pretty solid.

    Well I was supposed to go to the Sox game today... but when your friends can't find you and you don't answer your phone because your passed out well then you messed up. f***in booze!
  18. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 03:26 AM) This has 83 and second place written all over it if you ask me. Couldn't agree more.
  19. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 06:40 AM) Yessir. --- Week 6 of this MTP concludes w/ the half this weekend. I've been kicking ass so far with my training; here's hoping the next 12 weeks are more of the same. Cool, cool. Ya, I'm much further north now a days but I'm starting to apartment hunt in the city so hopefully I find something relatively soon and we can figure something out. Anyways, finally got my first big workout in since injuring my god damn foot and it felt great. Got a good run in plus lifted for about an hr. It was freakin hell while I was doing it but I felt like a million bucks once I was done.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 02:57 PM) Meh, its not even as memorable as him getting the s*** knocked out of him vs NYC. Maybe not to Bears fans but nationally it certainly is.
  21. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 08:27 PM) You wanna talk about the perfect situation for that guy? Belicheck don't take no s*** and he's got years to learn from Brady. IMO, he's in a better situation than Rodgers was in GB. And I fully expect him to be a damn good NFL QB one day if he gets his head on straight. Absolutely and that kid is oozing talent. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the best qb in this class.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 04:06 AM) Then Stewart's in a lot of trouble, he only consistently throws 2 pitches. If they're Contreras or Verlander type stuff, you can get away with it. And Sale's slider is good enough with that fastball because of the speed differential. Still, he does need to add a 3rd pitch he can throw 10-15% of the time...that could make him truly special as a starter, if his arm/shoulder/elbow and mechanics hold up with that bean-pole frame over a 162 game season. Of course, a lot of people doubted Gio Gonzalez had the ability to be a starter when we drafted it and POOF!, look how far he came from draft day to now. Sale has a solid change.
  23. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 01:58 AM) So.....are we destined to finish 81-81? Somewhere between 79 and 83 wins.
