I know it sounds crazy, but....
QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 12:22 AM) What did I say before? You need that WOW fact and Dye provided that. 2 great defensive plays brought a lot of life to the team. It brought a lot of energy. That is what they need to wake them up and to show energy. Great base running, great defensive plays, a lot of hustle, beating out a play at first, stretching a single to a double or a double to a triple, running the catcher over at the plate - any of those things and you will see more energy. This is where you seem to miss the speed of Ozuna and Pods. Pods definitely provides those WOW moments in the field, the problem is they aren't in a good way.

White Sox vs. Marlins, 6/18/07 (W)
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:39 PM) Trading Dye now would have made us too happy....we should have known better this year. Honestly, that's why I pretty much figured there wasn't a trade. I was hoping though.

White Sox vs. Marlins, 6/18/07 (W)
QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:27 PM) So then he wasn't hurt? Or we don't know for sure yet? I don't have a clue. It's likely that he was but who knows, a trade is at least possible.

Anyone watching the Cubs?
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:13 AM) Sissify baseball? Baseball players couldn't be bigger sissies if they tried. I have yet to see a professional baseball player that doesn't fight like a woman. LOL, honestly, that was the exact same thing that went through my mind when I read that.

Going to U.S. Cellular for the first time
QUOTE(Grebeck Fan Club @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 08:19 AM) I'm coming to Chicago on July 4 for a long weekend. To make a short story long, I have tickets to the July 5 Orioles game and would like some advice. What are the good eats inside the stadium? What's the best way to get there? Typical tourist stuff would be appreciated. Best place for Chicago pizza, good location for July 4 fireworks (I hear there are none downtown), etc. etc. As everyone else has said, everything in the stadium is quite delicious, you can't beat the Brats though imo. Obviously that's just a preference but those things are amazing. For pizza, Lou Malnati's is the best food of all time . Due's is quite amazing and a lot of people love Giordano's too. Just throwing those names out there.

Dye trade rumors heating up
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 11:35 PM) I would absolutely be thrilled if the Sox could pull a Billingsley, Betemeit, additional Prospect (Loney or Ethier or another highly touted prospect) for Contreras, Dye and Brian Anderson (or if they want Iguchi they can have Iguchi) plus cash considerations (if necessary). Clearly the Sox may have to take some sort of contract off the Dodgers hands (or give the Dodgers cash and even then its a big if, unless Dye continues to really dominate and we get a couple fantastic starts out of Jose). Consider it one of my dream deals. I don't think we'd get a top spect for Contreras at all but we'd definitely have to throw in some money if we did.

Flying Under The Radar
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 10:58 PM) I'm dead serious. We are simply not to lose to a MVC school, that's the simple standard I've set for us. But I'm going to bed, towel. You're standards are too high. 10 win seasons should be the standard at this point. You guys should be able to win at least 1 game against the Valley this year but we'd still beat the tar out of you if we ever faced you guys.
