  1. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 11:56 PM) Hell ya...NBA draft. Can't wait. No more Shaun Pruitt though.
  2. QUOTE(SnB @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) The A Ball all-star game is tomorrow in Geneva. You should all come out and visit me. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Midwest allstar game to be specific. There are plenty of single A all star games.
  3. This team is bad. Not going anywhere. Wait and hope for a fire sale.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:39 PM) Trading Dye now would have made us too happy....we should have known better this year. Honestly, that's why I pretty much figured there wasn't a trade. I was hoping though.
  5. Where the hell has that been all season, PK?
  6. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:29 PM) It's more fun to think a trade has taken place. Yup. Tis what I'm hoping.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:27 PM) So then he wasn't hurt? Or we don't know for sure yet? I don't have a clue. It's likely that he was but who knows, a trade is at least possible.
  8. The more time that goes by with out anyword on Dye, the more and more I'm starting to think some deal COULD have happened.
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:10 PM) so what is the best case scenario for our team these days? Josh Fields gets a few hits a night.
  10. Your first place Chicago White Sox take the field.
  11. First time I get to sit down and watch a full game in a long time. I guess I'm excited?
  12. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:13 AM) Sissify baseball? Baseball players couldn't be bigger sissies if they tried. I have yet to see a professional baseball player that doesn't fight like a woman. LOL, honestly, that was the exact same thing that went through my mind when I read that.
  13. QUOTE(Grebeck Fan Club @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 08:19 AM) I'm coming to Chicago on July 4 for a long weekend. To make a short story long, I have tickets to the July 5 Orioles game and would like some advice. What are the good eats inside the stadium? What's the best way to get there? Typical tourist stuff would be appreciated. Best place for Chicago pizza, good location for July 4 fireworks (I hear there are none downtown), etc. etc. As everyone else has said, everything in the stadium is quite delicious, you can't beat the Brats though imo. Obviously that's just a preference but those things are amazing. For pizza, Lou Malnati's is the best food of all time . Due's is quite amazing and a lot of people love Giordano's too. Just throwing those names out there.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 11:35 PM) I would absolutely be thrilled if the Sox could pull a Billingsley, Betemeit, additional Prospect (Loney or Ethier or another highly touted prospect) for Contreras, Dye and Brian Anderson (or if they want Iguchi they can have Iguchi) plus cash considerations (if necessary). Clearly the Sox may have to take some sort of contract off the Dodgers hands (or give the Dodgers cash and even then its a big if, unless Dye continues to really dominate and we get a couple fantastic starts out of Jose). Consider it one of my dream deals. I don't think we'd get a top spect for Contreras at all but we'd definitely have to throw in some money if we did.
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 10:58 PM) I'm dead serious. We are simply not to lose to a MVC school, that's the simple standard I've set for us. But I'm going to bed, towel. You're standards are too high. 10 win seasons should be the standard at this point. You guys should be able to win at least 1 game against the Valley this year but we'd still beat the tar out of you if we ever faced you guys.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 11:00 PM) Based on the fact that Buehrle has 2 and Garland 1, I'd say that theory is dead. I'd also say they're probably under the league average for % of ER coming from inherited runners scored. Yup. I'd agree.
  17. QUOTE(Beastly @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 04:20 PM) I think we need to just realize that our bullpen is just not good. And that it might not get better until later on in the season. We all realize it. I'd still rather have Mac up here than Prinz.
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 10:49 PM) It took some work but in 13 starts this season only 2 of the 33 ER Buehrle has allowed this season have come via inherited runners scored. Both scored on May 18th against the Cubs, Mike MacDougal was the culprit. I'll check Garland but atleast in Buehrle's case inherited runners scored doesn't seem to be a big problem. Gotcha. You don't need to check Garland's if it's a lot of work. I was just curious.
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 10:49 PM) We are not to lose to an MVC school, ever. We may do it, but we're not supposed to, even if they're Southern Illinois. We play 3 this year, and if we lose one, I'll be disappointed. Very funny. Maybe your goal this year should be to beat one of the Valley teams, not all of 'em? Butler has 3 or 4 on their schedule this year as well.
  20. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 10:44 PM) Taking my favorite pitcher who everyone knows I have a man crush on huh...? You ass. The player in your avatar might just be my favorite player of all time. Funny thing is, I didn't even know it until I realized that this is most likely the last season I'll ever see him in a Sox uniform.
