  1. Give me Pavano or Pat Hentgen, trade Konerko for Perez, Re-sign Robbie Alomar, trade Lee to Florida for Pierre and a prospect, trade Koch to NYM for Scott Strickland + another guy, and I'd be a happy dude.
  2. I like it, either way. Though I agree, I'd much rather move Konerko.
  3. Huh? I have no idea what this means. I tried using the 'image' button, but that says I need to insert a URL. This picture is saved on my desktop, so I don't have a URL. I tried the 'Attach File' command, but when I preview my post, the image doesn't show up. The pic is 32K, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Someone please help this idiot.
  4. It's not just New York, he's had a bad reputation with the Tigers, and the Astros(?). He's a whiny slug who should stay away from Chicago.
  5. In addition to his Canseco-esque defense, he also has a reputation for being lazy, stupid, and stubborn. The last thing the Sox need is another player like that. I'd take my chances with Rowand or Reed before I sign Cedeno. At least when Koch sucks, he still provides a good vibe for the clubhouse.
  6. Jason, How do I paste a JPG into a post? Me so stupid.
  7. Please, there is nothing funnier than 5 drunk guys doing the wave by themselves. Nobody says you have to join them. If the majority of the crowd follows suit, well, welcome to democracy.
  8. I don't understand people's incessant need to complain about the wave. The only valid complaint is that it blocks your view of the field, but for less time than it takes some fat guy to cross in front of you to hit the john. I say, if it adds more fun to the spectating experience, then I'm all for it. When in Rome....
  9. Ha, Borchard. If they could package Borchard and Rauch for anything with a .250 average, it would be a steal for the Sox. These two are mucho busto. While Willie does have great range, he is not good at getting good jumps/ taking good angles on fly balls. Could be a product of his inexperience out there, or he could just suck at it. I'd kill for this guy to give me .260/.385 -- with his speed, and lefty-bat, he'd do more damage than those numbers might suggest.
  10. Poor Beastly, that boy ain't right.
  11. Do I have 1000? Let's see... Nope, not even close, but I'm almost halfway there! Here come some inane, extraneous replies to your threads!!!!!!!
  12. I think that, after drinking and watching last night's football game in it's entirety, feels more like 100% dead right now.
  13. OK, I know there are different strokes for different folks, and it's not like I'd kick her out of bed for eating crackers, but I have no idea how anyone thinks Erika Christensen is hot. I've dated girls better looking than her, and I can think of at least 3 girls I hang out with that I'd rather have than her. She looks like a friggin' bulldog.
  14. Half Gaelic, half garlic.
  15. Alvarez, Wilson--We have enough 4th-5th starters already Anderson, Brian--Another lefty starter? Nah. Appier, Kevin--Washed up, arm held together with duct tape Ashby, Andy--See Appier, Kevin Astacio, Pedro--Hmmm, injury-prone, but intruiging *Bacsik, Mike--Who? Batista, Miguel--I like him Bere, Jason--No. Burba, Dave--Nuh-uh. Burkett, John--Absolutely not. Colon, Bartolo--He'd be good, oh wait, never mind D'Amico, Jeff--He's good for 6 starts a season before getting hurt. No thanks. Erickson, Scott--There's no need for this Estes, Shawn--HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Helling, Rick--Career ERA of almost 5.00. No need for an innings-eater Hentgen, Pat--Pitched well last season. I take him for a year or two. Hermanson, Dustin--Even the Cardinals didn't want him. Hitchcock, Sterling--He just sucks. *Keisler, Randy--Did you make this one up? Lidle, Cory--He's the white James Baldwin--Only good for 1/2 a season. Lima, Jose--It's never a good time for Lima time Maddux, Greg--At his age, he might get pulverized in the AL Millwood, Kevin--Sure, go sign him up Moehler, Brian--A Tigers cast-off? No. Nelson, Jeff--This is good, but doesn't he want ridiculous $$? Oliver, Darren--Waste of time and money Person, Robert--Coming off injuries--risky. Ponson, Sidney--I hope he's not a one-year wonder after getting a fat contract *Quevedo, Ruben--Makes Colon look anorexic. No. Reed, Rick--He's done Reynolds, Shane--Also done. Ritchie, Todd--............. Rogers, Kenny--Another 4th-5th guy Rusch, Glendon--Never seems to put it together Stephenson, Garrett --Ugh Suppan, Jeff--O-ver-RA-ted Thomson, John--The ex-Georgetown coach? 16. 50% Polish, 25% Irish, 25% Swedish. As a child, I suffered from constant bouts with indigestion and heartburn. But, eventually, I grew fond of all meatscased or cured.....
  17. Beethoven's "Fur Elise" Oh, did you mean some other type of skating?
  18. Isn't that what they call a mulatto? Is that term still used? Or is that racist somehow?
  19. You mean, opposed to a black Caucasian?

    Blackhawks

If you want to talk real hockey, I would start searching in a town that had a real team. Try Detroit, Denver, East Rutherford, Dallas, or maybe St. Louis.
  21. I say trade him--for pitching. I don't think Maggs is worth $14 million, especially when that constitutes a quarter of your payroll. If JR was willing to spend 90 million next year, then keep him, but if he's not, then you can't have one guy eating up that much money. I'd be much more willing to take my chances with better pitching than hitting--look at Oakland, 2 studs in their lineup, followed by a bunch of retreads, afterthoughts, and Chris Singleton. I really think only bad luck has kept the A's out of the WS the last few years, but you can't do anything about that. They are consistently good because of pitching, and at around the same payroll level, I think the Sox have to follow suit. If the Sox used Maggs' money to sign Pettitte, and say keep Colon, then I really don't care if they bring Dan Pasqua back to play right field, I think the Sox would be a better team.
  22. My team is the Chinese Whores. Beastly's is that weird YaBuddha team. The other guys are friends of mine. THey're all smart-asses, so don't take no s*** from any of them.
  23. I played soccer in high school, and volleyball in high school and college. Now, I'm relegated to club volleyball, and numerous 16" softball(the only version that matters) leagues in the summer.
  24. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Exactly when did you become privy to information that proves that "the act of worshipping God is the single highest reason that we as humans even exhist."? If this is a theory you believe in, then cool, but please don't post it as if it is an indisputable fact(If that's what you meant). Why would something like a god, who must obviously have knowledge and abilities beyond anything we could dream of create a species whose main purpose would be to worship the very thing that put them there? What would be the point? To give thanks for life? Why? Is life that great? How do you know?--what can you compare it to? My take is: if I could somehow eradicate all organized religions from the planet, I'd do so in a heartbeat. Nothing has been responsible for more crimes against innocent people throughout history than religion. IMO, ALL organized religions were created and modified by clever people over the years who got off on power trips and being considered as a higher being than other humans. IMO, the whole faith thing is a load of crap drawn up by these aforementioned folks to A)explain away the myriad of questions they could not possibly accurately answer, and B)to ensure their subjects didn't go off looking for the answers themselves. I consider myself an agnostic, because I believe that if there were a god or higher power that created everything, then it's something surely too complex for a human's mind by comparison to even remotely comprehend. Good=heaven, Bad=hell? That's the best the Supreme Being could come up with? Give me a break. And why did all direct contact between god and people happen over 2000 years ago? Interesting that ever since the Industrial Revolution, there have been no great floods, no talking bushes, no provable miracles, nothing. Perhaps if Geraldo Rivera, or thesmokinggun.com existed back then, then at least all bible-based religions would have been exposed as scams years ago. Again, these are just my opinions, no disrespect to anyone who disagrees.
