  1. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 03:18 PM) That's the first AB of Viciedo I've seen. He swings looked rather impatient, based on the 2 junk pitches he swung at. Is he a K machine? Just getting used to breaking balls, but im sure he is a hacker like Alexei.
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 02:54 PM) So how's Jack been looking? His location has been awful.
  3. Anderson throws out Loretta by 2 miles.

    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 01:05 PM) I have no doubt that we will get to see the purge. We will also see the pit that Locke got shot into by Ben. Ben has really continually tried to off Locke.
  5. I honesly dont know what to say when I see a comparison of Anthony Thomas and Matt Forte. They couldnt be more different of RB's.
  6. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 02:15 AM) I just want to laugh at everyone who was so sure Missouri was overrated. That was the 2nd time OU has lost with Griffin this year. Shut up people, shut up. Also, go Northwestern. Big win at Purdue. Maybe they are back on the bubble. Add the fact that Kansas lost so Mizzou still has a 1% chance of splitting the Big 12 title and the Bulls won and this was a spectacular basketball night for me. Shut up huh? Smoked by Kansas, beaten by ILL, and was ranked higher than both. Definition of overrated actually.
  7. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 11:05 PM) God, i miss MVP Baseball 2005. Without a doubt the greatest baseball game ever made. The Bases loaded series on nintendo begs to differ. As well as KGJ baseball on SNES.

    LOST!!!!

Athomeboy is bringing up alot fo great points. Many signs are pointing to the island being some part of the afterlife.
  9. It could be the sizing of your picture. When I set my Sammy to just scan instead of 16x9 there was a green bar and I had to manually move the picture left. Try resetting your picture to default levels at first, then make the steps you made to get it to where you tweaked it. If not, google it on Avnet forums. And like Steve, Im all Sammy as well. 50 in Plas and 40 in LCD. Awesome.
  10. Richard is already a better pitcher than Broadway ever will be. He isnt a major leaguer and is just another story of a guy who couldnt make that last step.
  11. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 09:05 PM) Does anyone know if Danks is working on a certain pitch or something? Could be why he's getting hit. It was a bulls*** grounder and a jam shot that barely fell.

    Honeymoon advice

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 07:26 PM) I'd go to Hawaii. It's too scary in Mexico right now with the big drug war going on, all the killings, and all the kidnappings. Just booked a trip to PLaya del Carmen today, the news cant keep me away. For a Honeymoon, skip Mexico all inclusive, that is more of a once a year type thing on a budget, Hawaii is pure paradise.
  13. If the team tanks it up this season, after the deadline this could be similar to what lineup we could possibly see.
  14. QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 02:01 PM) It's actually probably because he has a 3.48 career ERA in a hitter's ballpark. I don't think he's worth the money he's making (especially since it's escalating as he gets older), but that's because I don't think anyone is worth the money they get in baseball. Zambrano's deal should probably be there ahead of some others (such as AJ's mention), but it's not Barry Zito level quite yet. IN the NL however. Does Zambrano crack a 4 ERA in the AL?
  15. SO top performers: Lilly 3-5 Viciedo 1-3 with a walk, an HR and 2 RBIS BA 1-3 with a walk Danks 2-4 Allen all or nothing, 2k's 2 BB Cassel 1.2 IP 1 hit 3k's And most of the ex sox on the A's Lilly batting .357 on the spring Viciedo batting .364
  16. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 03:33 PM) Wow.. Im gonna miss Wiz personally, and I'm sure the other guys in that locker room will too. I honestly don't like the trade. EDIT: Kontiola is gone too.. but honestly he was gone anyway. Wiz is not that great on the ice, but does stick up for teammates. I really wish we traded him for Moore though.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 11:23 PM) I'll be interested to see if they put him back in that "multiple arm angles" mode again. I much prefer he just throw over the top, as I think his pure stuff is far more devastating that way, despite it only coming from one arm angle. The one pitch that really helped him dominate a few seasons ago was the 2 seemer from the side arm angle. It was simply impossible to hit hard and impossible to lay off. It started off the outside corner and nipped the plate, or started over the plate and jammed the hitters.
  18. Also, tht article was written by a Cubs fan I believe, so take everything with a grain of Old Style.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 10:58 AM) If he can play a solid 2b, and the Sox can cover SS with Alexei for the next 5+ years (assuming an extension at some point), then I think Beckham's bat might actually be more valuable at 2b than at SS. It's a lot harder to find good offensive production at 2b than it is SS these days. Think about how valuable a guy like Utley is to the Phillies. They can have weakness at a number of other positions because they get so much additional production out of 2b. Im sorry, offensive players at SS are MUCH more valuable than at 2B. Contracts have depicted that as well.
  20. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 10:25 AM) imo, carlos zambranos contract is a bad one. why is he worth almost 20mil? what has he really accomplished? isnt 16 games the most hes ever won? i dont know, buehrle has accomplished way more and while pitching in the a.l. its just that z gets the ks i guess. Zambrano, Bradley, Dempster, Soriano, Fukudome, Miles to name a few. Howry and Eyre were some good recent ones for them as well.
  21. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 11:22 AM) I don't know. Jones did a good job when he was here and really, they'd have productive play out of there backs most of the decade. Maybe not star worthy but still solid enough. To get a franchise QB, that would be a significant step up. Yes but we didnt draft him and we pushed him out of town for our "new franchise" RB in Benson. The Bears have had trouble finding that good long term solution since about Payton. Neal Anderson was pretty close.
