When reading the debate about who deserves to be AL MVP, I was surprised to see that many people favored Josh Hamilton because of his RBI total. Carlos is beating him in basically every category but RBI's which probably has more to do with our terrible OBP by the top of the order. For comparison's sake their numbers in their slots in the order: Cabrera .286 .337 .715 Pierzynski: .281 .306 .705 Is there any contending team that is worse at getting on base and setting the table?

Move AJ out of the f***ing 2 hole for christ sakes, and you wonder why Quentin doesnt have the RBI's Hamilton has. AJ as a #2 hitter: .281 .306 .399 .705

I equate what they gave up for Dunn about what we gave up for Griffey IMO. Borderline guys, the main one being a TJ surgery guy.

Many good pitchers made the jump from AA to the majors. Poreda might be that kind of guy. He could be a nice pen arm in the stretch here.

On the positive side, I think Konerko and Swish are about to get hot. I'd like to see Swish hit 2nd for a little with AJ moving down.

I like how everyone's plan of getting rid of aging players is to "trade them for prospects" like its a magic box you put them in and good young players pop out in return. Would anyone here trade OUR prospects for one of those guys.

The Twins are going to have a hard time gaining that advantage with an outdoor grass park.
