  1. Include your final score in your post.
  2. Why must Ben Gordon take EVERY game ending shot? Kirk was the obvious choice in this one, yet we have to watch Ben dribble around all day long.
  3. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Mar 31, 2007 -> 08:25 PM) I did read your PM. I was looking for like product recommendations etc. Cuz in a GNC type store, I am more confused than a baby at a topless bar. I haven't been doing much cardio cuz I know that burns an assload of calories and I've already got a high metabolism. I've focused mostly on weight training stuff (lighter stuff in the morning and/or using my own body's resistance) and more gym heavy weights after work in the afternoon. Depends on what you are trying to do. My fav protein right now is Muscle Milk light, because its lower on cals and fat. The original formula can help add mass, dont be fooled by the fat content on the label. For slimming down I use Isopure because its zero carb. Ask the guy at the store, sometimes they can be very helpful.
  4. I dont think anyone on this site, through all the negativity, ever said that the players dont like to play for him. They are routinely saying that he is great to them and is their best manager some of them have ever had. There are even players around the league that have commented on how they would like to play for him.
  5. OSU pretty much controlled the game from tip to buzzer. They had no answer for Conley, not real answer for the zone, and pretty much just gave it to GT. I feel a Fla-OSU rematch.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 31, 2007 -> 01:16 PM) Don't forget that Dellucci will only be used against RHP, which will make him even better. The Indians have Michaels to platoon with him and Trot in RF. If Perralta can get back to 75 pct of the form he had in 2005, the Indians are going to have an amazing offense. Their offense was never their problem, its the god awful bullpen and inconsistent starting pitching and defense.
  7. Delucci? Meh Sizemore, Peralta, Hafner, CC, Westbrook
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 03:07 PM) There is a huge difference in the level of play between Briggs and Holdman. They aren't even close as players. And Colvin has been damn good with the Patriots when healthy. Playing next to Urlacher sure hasn't turned Hillenmeyer into anything even close to resembling a pro bowler. We dont know if Briggs is at a higher level until he plays without one of the best in the game next to him. Briggs has been called a "system guy" and I cant disagree.
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 04:48 PM) Also, I avoid United at all costs. Worst run airline in the states. I fly 3 weeks out of every month, and only fly united. I would say American and United are tops as far as airlines go. Delta, US Airways, Continental are by FAR the worst in the skies. Southwest is ok if you dont mind waiting in line like cattle.
  10. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 04:05 PM) How does Cleveland consistently get ranked high every year, yet every year they fall flat on their faces? Maybe they should put it together for an entire season before anyone runs for the hills. Their bullpen just keep rotating in dogs*** players, yet everyone overlooks that fact every season. Hafner and Sizemore on their own could carry a team, but in this division, you need everyone to click.
  11. I guess the bears are holding out for more than just the 6th overall pick. Clayton said they may be able to swing a later round pick with it as well. That would be a huge win for the bears. We have proven over the last several years that anyone playing next to Brian Urlacher can play at a pro bowl level. Colvin, Holdman, now Briggs. If we can somehow swing him and draft one stud and another starter, its a huge win.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 10:13 PM) Where does Molina rank on the all-time worst players to make the Sox out of Spring Training? Somewhere behind Chris Widger
  13. Woody Paige also said the twins have the best pitching in the division
  14. We wont unload a valuable piece like haeger for a backup. Even many of the experts view him as an extremely valuable commodity.
  15. Nobody saw it in 2005 either, and most people hated those trades and didnt think that team had enough. I implore all of the negative people on this site to continue to think that way, because victory is so much sweeter when its not the expected outcome.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 05:28 PM) I've seen some of the most optimistic fans on this site pick this team to have 84 or 85 wins this year. Not with the same hate for this organization that is being shown on this board day to day. When you do not like anything about the team anymore, you arent a fan, thats how it is.
  17. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 04:56 PM) Flash, you are under the false impression that Garcia had high trade value. the constant b****ing over here is getting old fast. He's also under the impression that we will only have 82 wins. Even big fans of the Royals think that this is their year. Its almost time to pick another team to follow. Once you hate the manager, the GM, most of the players and their tendencies, and the minor league system, you have just made yourself lose the title of a fan, theres nothing left for you to be a "fan" of.
  18. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 11:13 PM) Tyson with 22 points and 22 rebounds? God damn does that guy suck. What a bust.... Are you still pushing that crap around here? We all know hes a good role player, congrats on the decent game.
  19. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 12:47 AM) I find all the references to "Elite 8 Bill" funny. Bill Self's coaching ability had nothing to do with all the layups, putbacks and 3-footers Kansas missed tonight. or any of the other shots his teams have missed while they are losing in the elite 8 every time. Theres something to it, and if you dont like it, dont pay attention to it.
  20. Of all of the comedy routines to steal a joke from, why must you make it probably the best stand up performance of all time by a comedy legend? Seriously, go down to the laugh hole and steal from some car repairman who is just trying out his dinner time material. Idiot!
  21. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 24, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) Kansas loses, as predicted. I mean, really, how could anyone pick a Bill Self team to go to the final 4? I have no idea. Also the Pac-10 is making a great case for the top conf in the country. Oregon, USC, UCLA, wow.
  22. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 24, 2007 -> 07:06 PM) Congrats to Danks, he definitely proved himself over Floyd this spring. Still, I feel as if we are rushing him along... I guess time will tell. He's been rushed at every level and he adjusted. The guy is a gamer, and flat out went to the park every day and took that damn job. He already has shown me more desire and will than other pitchers have after several seasons. 2 Lefties too!!! And then this is the headline on the rangers page: Brandon McCarthy had trouble finding a groove on Saturday as he allowed five runs on six hits and four walks in 2 2/3 innings.
  23. Wow, anyone who watched the post game conference, Callapari really impressed me with his comments, and his humility.
  24. QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 24, 2007 -> 06:01 PM) Yeah, Raftery is a joke. Every possession down the floor was the best shot ever.
