QUOTE(Balance @ Jan 3, 2007 -> 10:33 AM) I agree. Parents need to teach their children this lesson. I'm not going to hold my breath, though. Just let them watch Friday, it is explained thoroughly. -

He knew he couldnt mold the players in the NFL like he did in college. This contract is REALLY long though. -
QUOTE(iamshack @ Jan 3, 2007 -> 10:45 AM) He is a man of many talents! It's always good to be well-rounded... Not to come across as racist or anything of the sort, because Iam not, but I was surprised when I learned about it as well considering I didnt really picture a black athlete as an avid hunter.

They must see something in Floyd that not many other people saw, because they seem high on him. I like what KW has done to keep our team competitive and our payroll down, and with Gio, Danks and Sisco, we possibly could have 3 young dominant lefties in our rotation at the same time, which is kinda sweet.

QUOTE(iamshack @ Jan 3, 2007 -> 10:24 AM) Ok, that was too funny. I never pictured Jermaine as a hunter, especially not in Saskatchewan... I saw him and AJ at Kincades one night (cheap bastards were there on dollar-bottle night), and Jermaine was sitting at the bar with his playstation portable... JD is an avid hunter, he has several pictures on the web with his kills. He is also a very good golfer.

The refs put away their whistles under the hoop and the Suns took advantage, tough tough loss, but I think everyone knows we can play with those teams. Especially with Ben and Luol playing like they are. if Deng is on tonight, we win. -

IU looked to foul OSU a bunch tonight which appeared to work for quite some time. Someone needs to tell DJ White that he has gotten to the age where it is not necessary for him to wear a big tshirt under his jersey. -
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 03:21 PM) Kewl. I guess I'll go with 70% nature - 30% nurture. 70-30 is SOOOOO 2001.
-
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 02:00 PM) Doesn't have to be either/or though... Really? Either is politics and yet everyone chooses sides. I am MORE on the nurture side. Hows that for ya?

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 01:33 PM) I'm pretty sure that there's a difference between being accepted and becoming gay because of what you see on TV. I saw lots of beer commercials when I was a kid. Not only do I not drink that much beer, but I don't drool over the Swedish bikini team. Not even close to a good comparison to what I was saying, but i'll let it go because of how spot on the rest of your post was with equal right etc. I do not agree with homosexuality, but I do agree with the human's right to choose, and their right to equality in society. One's choice of mate shouldnt carry as much negative weight as certain situations do. Interracial, homosexuality, even different faiths, are looked down upon in many forms of our society. Think about something this way: Two genetic faults, one physical, one is homosexuality. The person with a physical handicap is given ramps, money, special tools to aid them along their life path. Homosexuals are persecuted, hanged, murdered, among other horrible outcomes.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 01:28 PM) Because a UM solid win over USC for 2 scores or so would have given the UM fans and people around the country a legit claim to play in the championship, instead they fell on their face. I'm not saying UM would have the right to complain but you know it would happen. Thats mostly because UM fans do alot of complaining, nothing more. -

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 01:18 PM) I know, you probably don't know this but I'm a huge Michigan fan just like yourself. It really sucks that they haven't won a bowl game in 5 or so years. firelloydcarr.com? -
QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:25 PM) much like high school kids turn to partying or church youth groups or dressing goth or punk. and the term is homosexual. Gay means happy. Homosexual's like the term "gay" so I can use it in that context. If being homesexual wasnt so glorified in the media today, would there still be the same number of people choosing that path in life? Consequently did they decide to be a homosexual because its somewhat popular, or did it just make it easier to "come out." With my psych degree and my studies I will almost always be on the nurture side of this debate.

QUOTE(Balance @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:58 PM) The shooter's manhood was probably questioned and/or insulted. That's all it seems to take. Sad but (presumably) true. These kids need to realize that it doesnt take a man to spray bullets at a car full of people. It takes a man to stand eye to eye with someone, and either resolve the argument, or walk away. -
QUOTE(kevin57 @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:14 PM) Your post makes it look like you have never (knowingly) had a gay relative or friend. Your attitudes would be quite different if you did. Why? Just because you know or love someone who is gay, doesn't mean that your viewpoints have to change on homosexuality in general.
-
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) If homosexuality is a choice, can I call into work queer? You can, but how does being gay make you not able to work? Pretty bad comparison IMO. You can however become gay if you feel socially awkward and need to find a place to fit in that is welcoming and open to you.

Prayers to you and your fam SSI.

I just dont understand when it becomes necessary to elevate a verbal squabble to involved guns and drive by's. Maybe its my upbringing, but I cant see the reason to kick it up to that. -
QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 01:49 AM) Lovie still doesn't have the balls to bench Jones for Benson. I mean, he HAS to see the difference. Benson is so much better at this point, its become obvious to even the casual fan.

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 11:56 PM) That was amazing. That team has so much f***ing heart. Heres to a 10 team bracket and f*** the BCS! In a 10 team bracket, trick plays and heart only get you a round, BSU wouldnt have even made the title game. BSU fans should be wishing for the current format, where they look like world beaters. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:28 AM) A Michigan win over USC would have gone a ways towards destroying the BCS How so? UM was the higher ranked team and were supposed to win the Rose Bowl, they could have locked on to 3rd or 2nd and a preseason #1 if they won, thats all. -

QUOTE(thedoctor @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 07:27 PM) as for michigan, they looked like they were totally unprepared. another bad loss for lllllloyd. 3 years in a row, lose to OSU, lose your bowl game. -
If they can solve some of his mechanic issues, he could be a deadly starter.
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 03:25 PM) Bears could be in some serious trouble if they have to take on a good O. As much hate as the Colts get, they rip apart the Bears. The Bears would hand the ball off to their two headed monster all day, and win the game.
