  1. IM pumped that my new car will have built in sat radio so I dont need to f with the stupid installation and whatnot. XM rules solely for the fact I can listen to the games on the radio no matter where I am. Also with football coming up, i love to be able to listen to OSU games.
  2. One of Coop's best effort. Thorton's delivery and mechanics were just tweaked, but it has made him almost unhittable, in fact his BAA is better than Big Bobby's. Last night he only needed one pitch!!!
  3. Congrats to all of the great fans of the World Champion White Sox!!!!
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) He wasn't throwing this good a few weeks ago. Ah yes, having confidence in a player depends soley on their performance over a short period of time. Mmmm Hmmmm
  5. QUOTE(Damen @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) He won't play in a white sox uniform ever again. Edited for accuracy.
  6. Wow, where were all these positive comments a couple of weeks ago?
  7. QUOTE(loltrain @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 08:00 PM) Chisox vs Divisional Foes/Good Teams: Lost 2 of 3 from Cleveland Lost 2 of 3 from Kansas City Won 3 of 3 from Detroit Won 2 of 3 from Toronto Won 3 of 3 from Kansas City Won 3 of 3 from Minnesota Lost 2 of 3 from Seattle Split 1 of 2 from Cleveland Won 2 of 2 from Seattle Won 2 of 3 from Kansas City Lost 2 of 3 from Minnesota Won 3 of 3 from Oakland Lost 2 of 3 from Toronto Lost 3 of 4 from Cleveland Lost 2 of 3 from Texas Won 2 of 3 from Detroit Won 2 of 3 from Cleveland Won 3 of 4 from Texas Now the problem with this list is I had to include alot of medicore teams, because you haven't played Boston or New York even once. It's true that Detroits inability to beat good teams is a concern (actually it's not, our inability to beat chicago is a concern, but heh we did win our last meeting ) but you guys haven't even played these same good teams you're always talking about Detroit failing against. If you guys hammer Boston (which may happen considering the DRays are owning them) then sure you have an argument, but until you actually beat these same good teams I don't see how you can say Detroit will fail because we didn't. Im sorry, I was reading your post about us beating good teams and the glimmer from my World Series ring blinded me. maybe I will read your post later.
  8. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) bad jump by Pods, and he gets gunned down Hernandez is throwing out 50 percent of basestealers. Pretty good.
  9. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 07:11 PM) Before switching over to the Cubs game their was a preview of a later addition of Sportsnite. It was discussed that Woods answered Guillen's call that he, Ozzie, could hit par on a gulf course before Tiger could record a hit off a major league pitcher.
  10. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 04:06 PM) Believe it or not, I am far more worried about Minnesota. They are unbelievably hot right now, and they know it. They're slowly climbing back into the race, peaking just at the ASB--which is about as good as it gets. Detroit could falter under the stress of trying to hold on to a one or two game lead most of the season. Or maybe not. Then there's Cleveland--far back right now, but we know what happened last year. Four out of the five in the central could take it (so much for the formerly-called Comedy Central). But Minnesota plays their small ball, they're a team, and their pitching is amazing. Just winning our division is going to be a b****. I'm not even worried about the playoffs at this point--that is the least of our worries. The twins cant beat the teams in their own division.
  11. I just got 2 more for earlier on the 29th, weird.
  12. and im good http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=21786133
  13. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jul 3, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) thats what im talking about!!! love the A team. Plus I think that broad has a hot myspace if im not wrong.
  14. When Torre picks almost his whole team for the ASG its warranted, when Ozzie picks ONE, its the Sox vs the NL
  15. He deserves it, and would be a good selection. But methinks they will chase Pinella, and when he doesnt want to go there, they will get Brenley.
  16. Arlovski trains at POW, but I dont know if they would have merchandise.
  17. Damn!!! I had hoped to get a bullpen arm that is worse than everything we already have. Damn it all to hell!!
  18. How great is it to get Big Ben, and get rid of the waste of space that Tyson Chandler is. Great moves.
  19. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) Yeah, I know. Some posters still wonder why other posters have legitimate concerns about the team. You'd think that most would see that, halfway through the season, there are some definite problems. It must be a fluke to have an ERA over 5 at the halfway point. Yeah, totally, I mean, we arent even in contention. Our pitching is horrible, our defense is horrible, and our hitting wont come around. What ever can we do?
  20. QUOTE(valponick @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) You continue to embarrass yourself, I'm done with you. Oh damn, that ruined my month. Man, i feel worthless after than burn........
  21. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) No Rock, he didnt. Vaz was playing with fire all day today, and was lucky he didnt get burned more than he did. He hasn't been sharp the last 5+ games, and needs to step it, and fast. I believe it was said during the broadcast that Vaz has received the best run support of any pitcher in the MLB. It ain't going to last forever. Are you kidding? What fire was he playing with? The wind was blowing out, ARAM made two miracle swings for 2 runs, and the 3 run bomb was legit. I think keeping us in that game was a pretty decent outing. Javy is not one pitcher im worried about at all. Oh and he was nice at the plate today as well.
  22. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 04:45 PM) Just got back from the game. f***ing awesome!!! I think I now have an ulcer but what an ending. Glad I wore my AJ jersey. Great game. Javy keeping us in it, even with the wind blowing out and ARAM hitting good pitches all over the field. The bullpen was great today as well. We have really solidified it with Riske and Thorton.
  23. QUOTE(valponick @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 03:47 PM) EXACTLY. This guy cracks me up. What was that? Contribute something, then get back to me, thanks. Anderson has played good of late, and was great on D. Some of his deep catches may have gone for doubles if poor jumps Mackowiak was in the game. Failed bunts happen, in fact, it happened to many of our players today. The gidp's hurt us much much more than those.
  24. Javy only letting up 5 runs with the wind the way it was today was a damn good performance IMO. Plus the ideas of trading Javy for a reliever? Hahaha, you have goto to be joking. Relievers are one of the most inconsistent players in baseball. Trading a 5th starter who has been ok, and still has a chance to be great is a ridiculously retarded idea. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 04:40 PM) in 2004 he (contreras) did and last year at the end of July he had an era of 4.58 It is way to soon to give up on this guy... there are lot of people in New York wishing they didn't give up on Contreras when they did. ^^^^^^^^^^^ Javy pitched a good game today, i cant believe the reactions of some of the people on here.
