  2. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 09:39 PM) Most definitely. Had a great flow. Heart of darkness is still my fav though.
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 08:15 PM) I have a Trio, which is similar, and I don't have to do that...? Is it because the person on the other end can't hear when using the blackberry..? Yeah, the microphone on my version sucks, I have to use a bluetooth headset or yell into the thing. great email though.
  4. BTW, im reading his book right now, and its really good. I couldnt give a f*** what oprah says.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 09:44 PM) I just look at Garland and see: 1. A pitcher approaching his prime age 2. A pitcher with a low-mid 90's fastball 3. A very tall pitcher with an excellent sinker 4. A sinkerball pitcher with a dominating infield defense behind him 5. An excellent young talent who had a very good year last year and got himself playoff experience 6. A pitcher who is very comfortable with his catcher 7. A pitcher who has good confidence in his pitches at long last 8. A pitcher with guts And I think that every sign points to him being a dominant pitcher for a number of years to come. Out of those...the one that sells me the most is #7. When Garland and Buehrle came up in 00, you could see that he was just scared to go after people. It was obvious. Buehrle on the other hand came up and just went right after the guys. Garland finally started doing that last year and it worked. He could backslide, but I personally think he may be even better. He's got the makeup to be one of the best sinkerballers for a long, long time in this league. Totally agree. I feel good about Jon moving forward. Of course, I really have alot of confidence in The Count this year as well.
  6. Here we go. I think Garland was the best pitcher on our staff last year. Even in the second half he ws impressive, much different from what people think, he was our second best in the 2nd half and the best in the first half. I think he will win around 17-19 games with about the same ERA as this year. I really think jon figured it out.
  7. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) Speaking of cell phones, it's kinda annoying when people remove the phone from the side of their head after listening to the other person and bring it directly to their mouths to speak... If you owned a blackberry, you would know why sometimes its necessary
  8. Lots of things. I use the season ticket holder phone line to order premium tickets on game day for face value. I like getting the free gifts and the annual book. I like being able to go to all the games, and even not go to some with the thought of "i'll go tomorrow."
  9. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) Read that well before Oprah included it in her book club. Thought it was a very good read. I actually read a little of it before it got big as well. I was in the bathroom at a friends house and picked it up to pass the time.....I like it, i like his writing style, its almost stream of conciousness.
  10. she doesnt have a learning disability, she has a huge cell phone bill. You know what you should do? Check her call log and text messages. Maybe there is something in there that you can use to find out why she isnt paying attention in class.
  11. The girl grew a social life. Boys, Parties, thongs, drinking, I've seen it all before.

  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) Someone link him to the Terry threads so he can see what that piece of work is really about.. :headshake ??
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 04:20 PM) Ive always had a problem doing HW and most days id either bs it right b4 class or not do it at all but just ace the quizzes/tests.... in college that didnt work so well and lets just say my 1st semester wasnt a success although missing classes had something to do with it also. I was exactly the same. College was a rude awakening and it took me awhile to learn to do stuff on my own.
  17. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 04:18 PM) OK, it's only 4:15 so I can't be drunk yet. Is this thread for real? WOW. Lets be honest Los, there is a chance you could be drunk.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 04:17 PM) You and the Corp AmEx.. Nope, Im losing that deal. Therefor I believe you said YOU would buy.
  19. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 04:06 PM) You are a winner. Now make sure you only throw up the cheap food. I think im too young to get that. Is that sort of like walking to school uphill both ways?
  20. Preseason order Top 10 1.Chicago White Sox-Big upgrade on offense if Thome comes back to form and they still have a great rotation. 2.Oakland A's-Best pitching rotation in baseball. 3.St.Louis Cardinals-Great rotation, lineup isnt as potent as last season but still solid. 4.New York Yankees-Incredible lineup but pitching is suspect. 5.Atlanta Braves-The most balanced team in the NL, but closer situation puts them below st.louis. 6.Anaheim Angels-They still have a very balanced team with good hitting and solid but not spectacular pitching. 7.Houston Astros-Rotation is weakened but they will still be a threat with Oswalt, Pettite and Lidge. 8.New York Mets-Great lineup, solid bullpen but the rotation doesnt look too good right now. 9.Cleveland Indians-Still a very young team with a great lineup, the pitching may take a step back though with the loss of millwood. 10.Toronto BlueJays-Great rotation that could match the A's if Burnett can put it all together, though the hitting could hold this team back.
  21. I think this is my favorite. Can you tell where this guy is from? 1. Yankees 2. Cardinals 3. Indians 4. Angels 5. Red Sox 6. Astros 7. Braves 8. Mets 9. Blue Jays 10. Twins 11. White Sox 12. Pirates 29. Reds 30. Royals
  22. AFter reading everyone's response, and asking myself if I would share my parenting techniques or mishaps on this board. I have come to the conclusion that Juggs is full of s*** and just trying to argue about something. I would never air this s*** on a public message board if this is what I was doing as a parent. You dont air your dirty laundry in public, and not on the internet.
  23. Well, who is going to that first game against the A's. That standing O should be awesome.
