QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 15, 2010 -> 01:34 PM) Yeah, I'm looking at the Bowflex set as well as the Powerblock set. Think I may start out with the bands first to make sure I like the program, then go with the adj dumbbells down the road if I stick with the program. the bands should be ok to start, the body weight exercises is what gets you.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 14, 2010 -> 11:11 PM) Just got a digital copy of this from my coworker's portable drive. Looking into purchasing the equipment now. Rock, I have read your comments in this thread. It appears as though you are suggesting the pull-up bar and bands as opposed to bands and weights. I was told one could buy the bands in lieu of the pull up bar, not the weights. Would you say though that the bar is pretty important to have? Just curious. The bar is pretty important and actually just upgraded to the set of adjustable weights by bowflex and its really stepped up my workout this time around.

You can do wrong with a Cisco cert, they arent going anywhere and everyone needs them. Also Java programmers, PM's and DBA's.

SSI is your best reference for that stuff IMO. I would PM him.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 13, 2010 -> 03:54 PM) Hmmm.... Sharp-Toews-Kane Ladd(Versteeg)-Bolland-Hossa (don't think Q should break up Ladd & Bolly, but who knows) Versteeg(Ladd)-Madden-Brouwer(Byfuglien) Eager-Fraser(Kopecky)-Burish (don't want Byfuglien or Brouwer on the 4th line) This is more or less putting the other guys at their natural positions. I think you'll see this: Brouwer-Toews-Kane Sharp-Bolland-Hossa Steeg-Madden-Buff Ladd-Fraser-Kopecky/Eager They'll have to healthy scratch some folks. When Burish comes back, you have to unload a winger on the 3rd or 4th line.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 13, 2010 -> 09:21 AM) Bolland is back skating, its hard to believe, but with this team having so much great success I almost forgot about him. He should be a huge boost. Will Sharp move off of center with Bolland coming back? I know injuries are bound to happen, but there are more forwards than spots when everyone is healthy... I could see them moving sharpie back to wing, and moving brouwer to 4th line, but it seems as if they like having his big body out there when Kane is on the ice. Either way someone gets moved off the rotation when bolland gets back....who's it gonna be? Kopecky? Then when Burish gets back i have no idea what they will do.... Bolland will center the 2nd line with Sharp moving back to winger. Not sure which line, but this is the plan. The plan was to have Burish replace Kopecky, but now he is gelling with his linemates, so who knows.l

He has a nice swing, something that cant always be taught.

QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jan 13, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) Thome. He makes a lot of sense and shouldn't cost too much. Both Jerry and Ozzie have said this wont happen. Forget about it.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jan 12, 2010 -> 09:08 PM) Johnny Damon is a hell of a lot better than what we have penciled into the DH slot, so if there's any way to bring him on I'd be favor of that. Edit: Although I don't think Johnny Damon is the kind of player JR is talking about here. The Damon train has come and left. They spoke with his agent awhile ago and thats that. I wouldnt expect them to add another OF'er like him at this point.

It could be the sphincter muscles on the urethra. My dog had to take pills to gain control of her pee back. It just happened out of nowhere, and she usually can go a good 13 hours without peeing.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 12, 2010 -> 06:28 PM) Turner sure looks healthy. I would have problems passing him up with the #2 pick if he goes pro. Rock, any chance he stays and plays with the recruiting class next year? 0.0 percent of staying, they've pretty much already given his schollie away. Matt Painter threw alot of his players under the bus after the game. He should have thrown himself under there putting Cramer on Turner for that long. Its not that difficult to figure out that you can double team Turner and beat OSU. Cris Cramer cannot guard Evan Turner. -
Old Comiskey and we sit down and who is next to us? Pat Morita. This is right after the Karate Kid came out and he stands up and starts doing Wax On Wax Off. The crowd was so riled up from him being there that they put him up in the press box away from the people, but he still was doing it from there like Harry Caray.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 07:27 PM) Supposedly it's a back injury. I hope he is fine. I think he will be. Coach Q said he should be out there Thursday. 2 game losing streak, but it was bound to happen sometime. In these next 3 games, they should take 4 or 5 points. Considering how much they dominated in the 2nd loss, its a pretty good sign.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 08:32 PM) How the hell is Schaumburg the boonies, most people that live there either work in a corporate office or in the city... there always is the train one can take to the city as well. If I was moving to the suburbs Id either want to live in Naperville or Schaumburg. well, then you dont mind an hour commute. His comment was he wanted to be close to work. And those are fairly different cities, why just those two?

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 01:54 PM) This threads bump timing is pretty good. I was just about to post something in here asking about Protein shakes. My Whey Protein tub from GNC is about finished and I remember Rock talking about Muscle Milk. I was going to poll what people use. For me, its about keeping weight on. I am a diabetic who runs a lot to keep my glucose count in a reasonable level. I burn up a ton of calories as I am running from 40 minutes to an hour at 7.0 to 8.0 mph. I am thin enough and don't want to drop weight so I usually drink a protein shake an hour before my run, and then one 20 minutes after my run to keep from wasting away. I look for something that is going to be kind to my system, and not have a lot of carbs ( not good for diabetics ) and saturated fat. For more general people, (not you) it's recommended that a post workout recovery drink have a 4-1 carbs to protein ratio. Especially if you really push it hard. I drink the new forumla of muscle milk as both a snack or small meal replacement or a protein supplement. Heres a recovery drink http://www.puresport.com/products/index.html And to plug Tony's as well. https://extranet.securefreedom.com/MillionD...&AddToCart= Chocolate Milk is actually a very good recovery drink as well.

Either way it was an instant classic. And I enjoyed watching my boy Beanie run over several players including his former teammate AJ Hawk. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 04:25 PM) Iowa continues to quietly is hiding behind the scenes, although they were always behind his big three. I think OSU has to be the huge huge favorites. And from what I heard, USC is going to be hit with HUGE HUGE sanctions. OSU has had a pretty bad recruiting year and I think this will make it worse when he chooses Florida. -
Just finished the Final Theory by Mark Alpert. For anyone who loves science, its a thriller with Einstein's Theory of Everything as the background of a terrorist plot. Pretty awesome read.

QUOTE (The Beast @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 04:50 PM) I live in Downers and while I can't speak about what it costs to live where I do, I can tell you that you are better off sending your kids to Montini or Benet than Downers Grove South. It's all relative because I was misplaced in classes at DGS, and other schools heavily promote electives (or classes that aren't useful), but I would say if your kid thrives in smaller classes, send them to the catholic school. If I were to do it all over again, I would have spoke up on how they misplaced me in my math courses and went to Montini. Another plus about the catholic schools is that there seems to be a level of fairness in sports there. I never felt welcomed to football at DGS, and that is why I quit. Great place to live, however. Yeah, south blows. North is still very good and isnt nearly as overpopulated.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 02:25 PM) Anyone live in Downers Grove right now? That seems to be the most acceptable area based on our initial search in the west. Lots and lots of decent sized homes in the 250-350k range, lots of green, surrounded by homes that are 3-4 times as expensive, and at least with a couple of these houses, pretty "reasonable" taxes. Where is it located? Being from DG, there are spots that are good, and spots to avoid. I will tell you that most of the schools are very good and the property values have been very steady.
