  1. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) Only feasible name I can come up with to tie to this rumor would be Jon Garland. If Garland expressed some desire to sign with another club after the 2006 season, I could see Kenny showing some mild interest. But, when I really think about it. Nothing doing. same here...glaus + vazquez is a massive amount of money, if you ask me that would only ever even come close to happening in a 3 way trade
  2. not sure where to put this...but i didnt think it needed its own thread...so ill just put it in FA resource, even tho it was a trade rumor....was being the key word per gammons.... The White Sox said they were interested in Vazquez, but the Diamondbacks wanted to tie Glaus to him.
  3. loretta is a chitown boy too...played ball at northwestern

  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) That still allows us some payroll flexibility if needed. not much....if we make a trade we will probably dump some salary...marte maybe or el duque who is dead money at 4 mil for a long reliever when baj or even adkins probably could be better anyways
  8. QUOTE(daa84 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) thomas belle or maybe thomas magglio circa 2000
  9. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) The Score is asking if Konerko/Thome will be the best back to back (in the line up) Sox players ever. thomas belle

  12. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) Didn't KW tell Paulie that he was going to get Thome to protect him? If that's the case, doesn't Paulie hit 3rd and Thome 4th? i think it depends on who is hitting in front of them..if iguchi is the #2 hitter again i think theyll go lefty pods right iguchi lefty thome righty konerko...we'll see tho
  13. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) Don't be so sure. I get the distinct feeling that if Frank isn't pain-free and 100% healthy, he will hang it up. In all seriousness, he got his ring, what does he have left to prove? 500
  14. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) I hope Frank retires than. he wont...its gonna be weird seeing big frank in opposing colors...good luck big man we love you

  18. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) Ahhhhhhh stay PAULY!!! THE WHITE SOX NATION LOVES YOU!!!! consider this thread closed
  19. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 12:46 PM) Can't wait for an official announcement, will they have a press conference with Paulie even though he is re-signing? its up on breaking news on espn news HELL YEAH
  20. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 08:13 AM) I still think his 2003 struggles were hip- related. Paulie also looks thinner (not just his hair) to me the past couple of years, maybe to take some of weight and pressure off his hip? There was nothing noticeable about Belle's hip when he played for the White Sox, and considering how quickly he went from being basically an ironman playing every inning of every game to not being able to play at all, it would make me very leery of giving Konerko the same contract. not only did pauly play through 03 with the hip condition but the second half of 02 was as well. this thing is nothing new, hes had it for a long time and been productive with it
  21. isnt this the same exact thread as the other one in trade winds? if we start a new someone should either close the old one (its getting too long) or at least merge them
