  1. worst game ive seen rose have in a while
  2. as per usual with threads of this ilk...this has gone from "things i dislike but everyone else likes" to "things that most people dislike but some people like" while we are at it though....that quietly so nobody sees thread is my answer
  3. mcphearson at third....had an easy DP ball and he handled it fine
  4. morel was really trying to go right side there and got it done...thats gonna win him some pts in the dugout
  5. Im a few credits shy of my Journalism degree, but this sentence struck me as odd and funny. Not sure how one thing relates to the other...

    2011 TV Thread

anyone watching watson on jeopardy?? pretty fascinating IMO One thing they didnt really explain is how the timing works though. Does Watson always win the timer if it "knows" a question? Seems like it
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 01:59 AM) I miss Joakim so much. no kidding....kurt thomas has chipped in a few games, but your starting center can't play 22 min and get only 3 boards and 2 points, especially when your 4 is undersized and horrendous defensively...its probably going to take noah a while to get back into the swing of things, but by the end of march hopefully this team is clicking on all cylinders just at the right time
  8. michael young is asking for a trade out of texas...Its too bad hes got a ridiculous contract (16 mil per for the next three years), because hed be a solid option at third for this season, though certainly not for 16 mil and certainly not for 16 mil in 2013
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 11:14 AM) The Bears will cut Chester Taylor this offseason, a source tells CSNChicago.com. good move, he was overpaid and didnt seem to have a huge role in the Martz offense seeing as how Forte was clearly the better receiving RB. I do think the bears may take a Rb with a late round pick. frankly im still curious as to what khalil bell can do
  10. when will this ridiculous hyperbole about the QBs stop? do people seriously not realize that the inflation of the numbers of todays QBs (due to the NFL year after year after year tailoring the rules toward the passing game) rivlas, if not exceeds the inflation of the baseball numbers due to the steroid era?? Look, Rodgers had a damn fine performance. Hes one of the top Qbs in the league right now, if not the best. I'll grant him all that. But these ridiculous assertions about historical contexts of what he did need to stop, because its simply a different game today than it was 20, even 10 years ago.

    Snowmageddon 2011

QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 11:25 AM) Nice trolling article here; http://www.slate.com/blogs/blogs/scocca/ar...spx#add-comment Yes our blizzard out East last year was worse than yours strictly in terms of total snowfall. Everything else he tries to say is idiotic. Americans don't know what its like to be tall like chinese people do. You know why? because yao ming is alot taller than brad miller

    Snowmageddon 2011

walked through the loop at 7:45 am this morning....say what you will about what happend on LSD last night, but every single street was plowed in the loop, and 95% of the sidewalks were cleared, so I have to really commend the city of chicago ....only thing missing were the millions of people to enjoy the cleared streets

    Help me out

ok, I dont know where else to look for the answer to this question....but maybe someone here will remember and can help me out... I bought these things called potato straws, and I really like them. They taste VERY similar to a potato chip that I used to eat back in elementary/middle school, but I can't for the life remember the name, and I've spent an hour seacrhing for them on the web. They were kinda a puffed like potato chip and used to come in a red bag (IIRC), and the individual bags may have come in 3 packs with funyuns. If anyone has any idea .....please help me out...its driving me nuts
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) Because they were claiming it was a full tear, and it was a partial tear. Many others players have played through partial tears in far less important games. its irrelevant because lovie was the one who made the decision to pull cutler, unless you believe that lovie is covering for jay. Not to mention, once the decision to use hanie instead of collins was made, by rule cutler couldn't return, even if he felt ok to come back in. Cutler said he wanted to go. what more do we need? I guess are we supposed to see a shot of him screaming at Lovie to get put back in?
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 02:40 PM) Watch the replay. Hester clearly slows up at one point. Not sure he'd have gotten even if he didn't, but he slowed the route. was at the game...when i saw it live, hester certainly broke off his route.....but watching it a second time on tv...hester had no chance at ever getting to that ball...it was over thrown
  17. in the end...cutler brought alot of this on himself. His attitude with media and public image doesn't do him any favors. Instead of giving the guy the benefit of the doubt, people look for a reason to be able to rip him, fair or unfair (and clearly i think its unfair in this situation). Nobody would ever question Derek Jeters toughness if he came out of a game in the ALCS. Cutler has created this brash, difficult to like personality in the media, and at every opportunity to be able to rip him, people will. Same thing is happening with lebron. Its a shame because the guy really has such huge potential.
  18. anyone who is blasting cutler via twitter or whatever is a f***ing moron who has no idea what they are talking about . Look, ive had a long standing love-hate relationship with cutler. I have every reason for him to be my favorite nfl player, and instead, I'm ho hum on him at best. Ive been harder on him than just about any bears fan. I once booed him off the field in college and called for his backup as he ran into the tunnel for halftime. Hes a dickhead, a questionable leader, erratic, risk taking etc etc but one thing cutler is not - is soft. the guy is a tough mother f***er, and i dont care what anyone else says. No f***ing way he took himself out of that game, without good reason. Anyone who watched him get just driven into the ground time after time this year (see giants game) and still go head first when he scrambles knows this guy probably didn't pull himself, and if he did, he did so because he knew he was too injured to be effective for the team. I'm comftorable if you want to blame the game on Cutler. Blame him for missing a wide-open hester in the first quarter. Blame him for forcing the ball downfield to knox just before halftime. Those were huge plays and the guy played like s*** in the first half. Im fine if you want to pin the game on him (I put more blame on the coaching staff myself, but cutler certainly played like dogs***). But i think you are sorely mistaken and are being an overreactive meathead dumbass if you are someone like that p**** asante samuel for blasting cutler for being too soft
  19. not enough credit goes to mike tice ....while they still can't pass protect, this offensive line has become a very good run blocking group..
  20. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 04:11 PM) The super bowl comes two weeks early in the midwest. What a game were in store for. i thoguht the hype around the MNF game when they were both 2-0 was ridiculous....this is going to be absurd
  21. vegas hilton has the odds for GB @ chicag....packers -3
  22. hester could have had all the room in the world and i think he was going to fair catch that
  23. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) Lame as PI call... yeah that was horrible.....goddamnit ....this is a game now...stupid f***ign forte play
  24. imagine how good this team would be if we could get protection like that consistently
