QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 03:18 PM) I don't know if I've ever seen a ball downed closer to the end zone. now lets get 2 pts out of it

why in the world would you kick to hester. i know he had more TDs in past seasons...but in terms of number of attempts and 25+ yard returns...sure feels like this year was arguably better than those in the past

that is why you dont leave your feet i can't see carlson coming back...hopefully its not a neck injury, but i cant see that being anything less than a concussion....should be a big break for the bears

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) Heading down there this weekend to see the Hawks play the Predators. Any good recommendations of sports bars to watch the Bears game on Sunday? Staying downtown at the Sheraton. theres a sports bar i went to downtown on broadway called baileys I think. If you wanna spend the 6-7 dollars on a cab, Sams on 21st is my favorite sports bar (actually my favorite bar period) in the world. I used to go there to watch every bears game when I was in college. There was almost always a bunch of other bear fans there watching. That said, pretty much any bar you go to (aside from the honkey tonks) should have the game on seeing as how its nationally televised. There will be alot of people around there rooting for the bears given all the vandy ties (cutler bennett moore williams hillenmeyer)

Gus Johnson has become so over talked about that he has become overrated. Love Jon miller, scully, lundquist, used to love kallas. Billy packer was terrific despite being a huge douche, also love raftery. Can't stand jaworski or gruden though I like Tirico. Hate Joe buck, Len kasper and pretty much any female announcer. NBA wise JVG is great and so is hubie brown I guess some of those are color guys but oh well

QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 01:28 AM) I know I'm in the minority but the college game has just lost it appeal on me. I just find the spread offenses gimmicky and while they are creative I can't help but somehow be bored by watching a bunch of defensive players who can't make open field tackles. Maybe I'm a football purist but the pro game has become so much more appealing to me over the last 5 years or so whereas I used to enjoy college much more. Edit I still watch college every game I can I just have come to vastly prefer the NFL -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 08:20 PM) Unfortunately, they are joining the Big East. I'm tired of the Cinderella talk by some though (not on here). Cinderella isn't ranked third and isn't favored to win. agreed...especially because we basically saw this exact script a few years ago with the boise oklahoma game...tcu is a legit program with a rich history too. yes they play in a non AQ, but its not as if they came completely out of nowhere like george mason -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 08:08 PM) So is there going to be talk about how s***ty the Big 10 is by the national media? I mean it's easy and fun to pick on the Big East and ACC for being s***ty but lets talk about the Big 10. Atleast the ACC has 2 wins over the SEC. the big 10 certainly took it on the chin today...but the national media has blasted the big 10 for the past 5 years, its not like their shortcomings have gone unnoticed as you seem to say -

where are the defenses, big 10? jeesh ....michigan, msu and NW couldn't stop a pee wee team -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 12:52 AM) It's more than zero, but not likely. Probably less that 10%. The Saints have already smoked the Rams once. honestly...seattle is not an easy place to play. my buddy from cleveland was just telling me his superbowl picks are patriots vs new orleans, but he also commented that the browns beat both of those teams by a combined 20+ pts...so I certainly would never say 0..and i think its even higher than 10%
