  1. Yes, its on hom. Its his job to determine if the return is worth the trade. Just because a bunch of people on a posting board want it done doesn't mean its always the right thing. The jury is still out on Getz. Well know on a couple of years.
  2. Because i dont agree. I understand your point. I just dont agree.
  3. So would you rather be mad at a light return or mad that a trade isnt made. Irrationality is real.
  4. Not colluding but reports are that at least one team valued civale more than Houser. May all the teams are looking at his bad K/bb ratio and other stats and think he isnt as good. During trade time we tend to over value our own players. Would you rather be mad at a light return or mad that the trade wasnt made?
  5. That's the key. He should be worth. Bit what are the offers?
  6. I would sell high. If its was anything worth it. Seems teams think Civale has more value than Houser by reports.
  7. If the offer is just a DSL flyer or the equivalent, yes. Depends on the offer. Why would he trade him for something that's not worth it? He does have intrinsic value for the team. I would trade all of them if they could get something of value. I just dont know what the offers were to make that decision.
  8. Sorry. Didn't realize i wasnt allowed to express my opinion on WHO I wanted to see. We are talking all about retread pitchers here. If they aren't getting anything worth it back I want to see the current pitcher continue to pitch the innings.
  9. Ewww. I forgot about Perez though. I have no interest in seeing any of the others.
  10. I forgot about Perez. I have no interest in seeing the other 2. If they have to shut down Smith or any of the others. They'll probably need them though.
  11. I think he is valuable enough to take innings from the young pitchers to protect thoer arms if they dont have a offer of anything more than just a flyer. Someone will need to throw the innings.
  12. Agreed, still sucks they aren't dealing him though.
  13. Sorry. Thought I read he was over.
  14. Don't think so. That's just a comment on the general reactions. Can't say its the same.
  15. Would teams trade for him though when he already refused to go to the bullpen in Milwaukee?
  16. Ah yes. The name calling when people dont agree.
  17. I don't know. Reports were that red Sox preferred Civale. Maybe the industry doesn't trust Houser can do anything. So maybe he's worth more to eat up innings from the young pitchers.
  18. There are viable reasons. I would have preferred to trade them as well but its not an unqualified failure. More of a preference depending on the return for some of them
  19. Are you sure of the other offers? Maybe no one wanted Robert because of the injury history. Maybe with all the innings needed the rest of the season because they are protecting the young arms, keeping the pitchers innings was more valuable than the returns?
  20. Cost controlled talent with years of service is the only way for many teams to compete.
  21. That pick was underslot enough to allow them to draft Taylor, Oppor and Wolkow though. All were over slot.
  22. I would disagree with the wins ALWAYS matter to fans. Some understand the concept of rebuilding. Winning is always the goal long term. But unless teams have the resources of the truly major markets of NY and LA, in today's game, rebuilding is a reality.
