  1. He's not wrong. Very few of those contracts ever workout for the entire contract.
  2. You can never go wrong with satriani.
  3. It could be hamstring syndrome or a high hamstring tendonopathy. A good thing to do for that is to take a firm ball lacrosse ball or tennis ball and sit on it with it right below your "butt bone" or ischial tuberosity. Lean to the opposite side so most of the weight is on the opposite side and move side to side to gently massage the hamstring origin. The other thing to do is to stretch the upper hamstring. Sit with your legs out in front of you and keeping your back straight lean forward at your hips. This will stretch the hamstring origin. The other thing to check is to be sure it's not a nerve irritation from your low back. Lay on your stomach and straighten out your arms while keeping your hips on the floor. This will do extreme extension in your low back, hold that position for a couple of minutes to see if your symptoms change. If this changes the symptoms dramatically it could be a spinal issue.
  4. Does the pain shoot down the leg or does it stay just really high near the hip?
  5. It's good to take a little extra time with nerve healing. They aren't in the World series.
  6. Wow. that's pretty fast. Must not have been a very serious one. It's a good sign for his future health and injuries to the joint.
  7. This is true for nearly all prospects in one way or another. There talent doesn't change as they go up the levels (some physical maturing in the very young ones). it's the refinement of the talent and the learning process of how to use that talent at each progressively more difficult level. This was the whole reason I was pushing for Kopech (now Cease) to get to the MLB when they are ready. There is a learning curve for each pitcher, sometime it's a very short and shallow curve but more often than not it's fairly steep.
  8. I have a lot of stuff as well including game worn jerseys, bats, Comiskey bricks and such. However, my favorite is my autographed Frank Thomas Big Hurt pinball machine.
  9. Hopefully, Dylan Cease isn't English for Javier Vasquez, the master of the one bad inning.
  10. And the mental side of not letting innings get away from him.
  11. I know you're just trying to get a reaction out of people, but do people really want an owner that meddles with the game management? I would be afraid of a Dzniel Schneider/Redskins situation. To me owners should be involved with the FO not game or on-field management. That is why he hires a FO.
  12. Like giolito says about his improvement from last. One of the biggest was how to limit big innings early and not allow it to change your mental approach and attitude during the game. He'll learn this type of thing as well.
  13. No doubt. Can anyone enjoy a game just for the game? Most fans seem to be a fan of winning and not a fan of the game or the team. Granted it's more enjoyable when they win.
  14. The problem is that AAA hitters swing at many of those and inflate his numbers. He is learning how to pitch to MLB hitters. It can only be done at this level. He always has been a pitcher who will walk a higher number of hitters. He needs to learn to trust the stuff, not overthrow it and not try to strike everyone out. He needs to trust the stuff in the zone and throw more groundballs. They're more democratic than the fascist strikeouts anyway.
  15. he is also a really good guy and the type you want around a clubhouse. he meets all of the intangible things people talk about.

Cease doesnt have the control that he is currently showing. Hopefully, he can maintain it at higher levels.
  17. I think the team really wanted him to see how a good defensive catcher like McCann prepares from day to day in the MLB. I'm sure he learned quite a bit and is incorporating it into his preparation routine in the MiLB.
  18. It was never off. They are just missing two of their best hitters who are injured. I can't figure out why people think the goal for this season has changed. The goal has always been to get the young players experience and see what the team has in them. It's the fans who were blinded by the over achieving team in the first have that have changed their minds like a pendulum.

This was my philosophy with Jimenez and I got many smiley faces due to the overwhelming idea of it hurting his service time.
  20. This is a major hurdle. Universities dont need more expenses especially state schools where states are decreasing funding as it is.

Not sure how they can change it. There has to be so e service to e credit for things like retirement and free agency. I really dont want a situation like the NBA where rosters turn over so often that fans never know what their team will look like and very few teams really ever have a shot at the title.
  22. Not a moment too soon.
  23. I dont think it was their decision, personally.
