  1. They are sold out. Just got the message. when I got to the front. You can c get resale though for 385 each.
  2. Any Bears season ticket holders try the playoff ticket presale? I got on right at 10 and it said 2000+ people ahead of me. 20 minutes later, 2000+ people ahead of me. Yeesh.
  3. Mentioning Pitch Perfect 2 on Soxtalk! Banable offense?
  4. Torii Hunter blew off KW because the Angel's offered him more money after he agreed to a deal with the Sox. He was using the Sox as a bargaining chip. Hopefully the Sox are offering the most money this time because as we know that's the only thing that matters. The Sox being irrelevant is irrelevant.
  5. No kidding. I joined in February 2005. Not too long after the Lee to Milwaukee trade. That discussion really started it off with the "it wasn't just the players the Sox got but the payroll flexibility of getting out of that contract" idea.
  6. It's a business like any other media outlet. What makes them more money?
  7. Hopefully. See what kind of discount he is willing to take to play for the Yankees.
  8. It's his boyhood favorite team who has has expressed an interest to play for. He was always going g to sign with the yankmees if the money was close.
  9. Or maybe the entire 90 minutes was discussing that Manny is signing with the Yankees so just give him their best offer ala Andre Dawson. No negotiation necessary. ?
  10. It is making winter break more interesting.
  11. Maybe the entire 90 minutes was a discussion about he is going the accept the White sox offer because it is the highest, however can we meet to give my agent some leverage to make the White Sox raise their offer. ?
  12. I'm sure they really didn't discuss specifics. Just we are only willing to go this far Manny. Is that worth negotiating with your agent over the next few days. They both know the interest involved.
  13. Pretty weird trip for just "wouldn't mind meeting." I think it was more just to exchange general contract principals in person. They both know there is interest on both sides. Just more on Machado's part.
  14. In 90 minutes? That seems pretty quick for that task.
  15. That was the whole "make the offer in person" part.
  16. Same could be said for why make the trip for a 90 minute meeting. The Yankees needed to make the offer in person to attempt to get him at thier price. We'll see if it work.
  17. Then I'd sign in 10 seconds. Shortest meeting ever!!!
  18. If you were a in the business wouldn't you try? Just like amazon or Boeing.
  19. Right, but I'm sure a general offer was floated out there just to see if he had any interest. They at least said "yeah we aren't going over X years or X amount." or that they were. I would always prefer a 90 minute over a 5 hour meeting, unless it came with free drinks.
  20. Got to admit, even with the size of the high school I had never heard of it.
  21. He does however need to sold on their offer, otherwise it would have been signed awhile ago. We know he would prefer the Yankees as a team over any other team.
  22. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!
