  1. 6'5" woman? I'm thinking post-op tranny.
  2. A Texas Intruments construction sight has collasped in Richardson, near Dallas. Four construction workers were trapped. One of which has been rescued. Will update as news comes in.
  3. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) I thought it was goats and curses? It's all the same s*** .... EXCUSES!
  4. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) Oh s***...Mike North is an idiot. We are officially jinxed. Jinxes are for Cub fans!
  5. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 10:33 AM) No, true, but still people always take it out on the wrong people. How many times do you hear people yelling at the cashier over a price of groceries. A package was late to our office, our secretary almost killed the UPS driver, and he had nothing to do with the package being so late, but she took it out on him. Better him than you.
  6. I enjoy watching you pitch. Glad you're a Sox! Happy Birthday!
  7. QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 10:15 AM) that's one contest i don't want to win. :puke I hear ya! There's no telling where that finger has been.
  8. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 10:12 AM) I don't agree with Olsen being twice the coach Sutton is, just my opinion. Lute's teams have been bounced earlier than their talent says they should have been a few times. Eh ... You're probably right. I just despise Eddie Sutton with a passion.
  9. In hindsight, would be the only way to do that.
  10. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 09:33 AM) The last few days, Mike North has been telling everyone that the Sox will be the team that everyone will need to take notice of this year. I agree, I don't think I have ever been this excited about the start of an upcoming season. Perhaps its because of all the new players we have or just a feeling that things are going to jell for us, but I am pumped. My only wish is that we opened on Tuesday so that we could get a day away from the Illini hype that will be all over on Monday if they go to the Championship game. No worries.
  11. Just my opinion, but Lute Olson is twice the coach Eddie Sutton is. Of course, I'm probably biased. I didn't like Sutton when was at UK.
  12. QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 07:42 AM) I don't know whether to believe Guillen or not but he says Ozuna has "a good chance" to make the team, and that it depends on what they do with pitching. Personally I think this is just a smokescreen. Unless something drastic happens in the next week or someone gets hurt, it's hard to fathom Ozuna not coming north. He has been phenomenal this spring. I thought for sure they'd put Harris in again at SS. Guillen said he'd get one more start in a "B" game. Interesting to note that if either Burke and/or Ozuna are somehow being considered, both would have to be added to the 40 man. I still smell a trade, there are a few fringe parts that don't fit. Of course its a smokescreen. He's not going to announce something before he has to make a definitive decision. Can't blame him.
  13. I thought some of you might be interested in this. No real revelations here, Satanic or otherwise. Backmasking Link
  14. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Dream on! No one would ever vote for that for fear of their ownself being sent there Somebody's got to be the test case. You're elected. Congrats!
  15. The main problem with this p.o.v. is that because "religion ultimately need to fall back on faith" and is "NOT testable", then it should not even be considered. This is a general theme throughout many of your posts.
  16. S&B, don't listen to these guys. If you want to go to the prom, go to it. Their suggested alternative is probably not something you should consider. You are only in HS for a short time. Be a HS kid. You'll have plenty of time to be an adult.
  17. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) As an Illinois fan I would say Arizona scares me more than OSU. The Wildcats have the type of offense that can get hot and take over any game. Of course if we beat Arizona, it probably means we're ready for any team in the Final Four. You better be scared of 'Zona. Lute Olsen is damn good coach. As far as the FF, Louisville is also a team to be very wary of.
  18. QUOTE(LDF @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 02:09 AM) do you watch that show as well??? Can't say I know what show you are talking about. That is a fairly common expression.

    QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) Does anyone else think 15 HR's in 172 IP is not bad at all? Considering his extremely low walk totals, I'm not that concerned. A solo shot from time to time is not going to hurt too bad.
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 01:13 PM) Sam Siannis? Yes, that sounds familiar to me. That just shows you how much attention I pay to the Cubs and their idiotic fans.
  21. QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) Yeah, how mature was Marky after Bartman interfered with the ball, didn't he lose his composure a little bit? They blame that on the curse. Jesus is perfect, don't ya know?
  22. From SS2K5 in the opening day thread, about a previous ... um ... get together by some members of the board: Really, there is no explanatory intro needed. This is a stand alone classic.
  23. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) You obviously have not looked at his hit chart: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/stats/ml...1188&statType=1 It's tailor-made for Barry & probably few others. Now I'll say this again, look at the chart & look at the distance on his HR's. That's roids. There's no doubt about that. But there's also reason to believe w/out roids he'll still hit the HR's. Just no where near as far. Probably most of his HR's would have stayed in the BP. If you're saying Sosa is .350 OBP w/out roids & .400 OBP w roids that's not a major difference. In Sosa's case you could argue more of his HR's are fly outs because of his lower average & lower OBP preceding his HR years. There just is no one else like Barry in the game today. Now if you want to make the argument he'd be unable to play as much as he did I'll buy that. Barry has basically confessed that much. Without roids he's sitting a lot more than he did. That would have had the biggest impact on his numbers. Hit charts or no hit charts. Barry Bonds use of steroids has taken him from a damn good ballplayer, to one that was considered in the greatest of all time argument. And, if I may add, it propelled him to that pinnacle at an age when most ballplayers start losing their skills, sometimes very quickly. Look at Barry Bonds' career prior to the '99 season, at about age 34, and he was a questionable HOF'er. But in '98 Mac and Sosa did their thing so Barry went that route too. You can see it in his stats, which you seem to be so fond of, and his photos. Steroids made Barry Bonds the player he is today. No ifs ands or buts about it, in my opinion.
