  1. Gotta go with New England. They are solid in areas. The Colts defense looked pretty lame against Holmes. If Holmes hadn't have fumbled after that 46 yard run, I think KC wins that game.
  2. If they are moving Washburn and/or Ortiz to "offset signings", then they aren't going to take on PK and his $8 million salary.
  3. If I recall correctly, Shoeney's career high was 10 wins. It's hard to say you could count on 15 from him in 2004.
  4. Clemens had an extended interview with Dan Patrick and nothing was said about him skipping road trips. Roger did say he'd get to see his sons' games more often, but that can be accomplished when the 'Stros are at home. However, Steff, I recall hearing that it would be a possibility that he'd skip some road trips back when the unretirement rumors started.
  5. Moss was 10-12, 5.16 ERA and 1.67 WHIP and is age 27. Garland was 12-13 4.51 ERA and 1.37 WHIP and is age 24. Everyone wants Moss and yet Garland is bust. I don't get it.
  6. The O's are already targeting Magglio. We won't outbid them. Face it gang, if Maggs hasn't played his last game for the Sox, it's just around the corner.
  7. Sounds pretty simple to me. He'll pitch more innings.
  8. Josh, apparently you "scooped" the Chicago papers.
  9. Rios was a bust, that's for sure. I hope Borchard can hit well enough in ST to make the club, and keep some pressure on Rowand as well as being a solid backup for Maggs and Lee. That's if Borchard and Maggs are still with us in ST.
  10. Actually, to call Steff "doable" doesn't do her justice. She's a very attractive lady.
  11. When Krause was named GM of the Bulls, they had MJ after his rookie season and 11 slugs. At that point in time, no one knew Jordon was going to become the greatest player ever. He was just another hot shot rookie, and one that got frozen out in the All-Star by his veteran teammates because he was so cocky. The Krause drafted Grant, traded for Pippen and started putting the pieces in place. From the status of the franchise when he started, to the end of the championship era, you have to give Krause his props. He was smart enough not tro trade that cocky rookie and also smart enough to build around MJ. Coming out of the draft with Pippen and Grant (draft day trade got Pip) was masterful. Then his other moves over the years, well you can't argue with the results. Trading Grant for Cartwright, aquiring guys like Pax, Kerr, Rodman, Harper. Whoever else you can add, they were all keys to the Bulls run. Krause may not have been the type of guy you want in the public eye, but he was a very good GM until MJ sabotaged him.
  12. You can forget about the "marketability" of the potential Nomar vs. Maggs deal. Nomar is not exactly a social butterfly in Boston as far as making personal appearances and the like. Now, having Mia Hamm in the stands might not hurt, though.
  13. Nobody seems to realize that Bradford has been THE man out of the A's bullpen since that deal was made. Over, Koch, Foulke or whever else was there. When the A's needed that one big out that was key to the game, Chad Bradford has been on the mound.
  14. After reading through a couple of threads on this deal, I have mixed feelings on it. Nomar & Williamson for Maggs & Jose seems to be the base of this deal with other players thrown around until the right match is made. It seems if we get Nixon, the BoSox want Borchard. As much as I hate to, I'd pull the trigger on this one. Nixon is exactly what we need in our line up and JoeB may never work out. Then again, he may eventually put up some Mantle-esque numbers. Any deal involving Cotts or Rauch for Damon or Kim I'm thumbs down on. Damon's best years are behind him and Kim just doesn't impress me. I don't know what Nixon's contract status is, but he would be the key to the deal for me. We'd be losing some offense in the Maggs vs. Nomar comparison, but gaining in Jose vs. Nixon. Still, we'd be gaining Jose LH bat and gaining Nixon's, so we would still need another good LH hitter, imho.
  15. You and 80% of the rest of this board. Let's see, you'd rather have Robbie Alomar, who hasn't done much of anything in two years. Carl Everett, who should never be allowed to visit centerfield, much less play there. Tom Gordon, who finally had his first healthy year in the last 4 or so, at age 35. Sully, who has been overworked by the Reds for the past four years that his arm could fall off at anytime. But, showing I have an open mind, I'll give you Colon, even though he only bears down and pitches hard when he's in the mood. No thanks. I'll take my chances with Harris, Rowand, Wright, Cotts, Diaz, Ginter, Reed, Borchard and Crede before I go with Geritol gang mentioned above.

I can see merit to both the husband's and wife's claim. I mean it really did sound like they over did it on the weight in that bag. And yes, it hurts like hell when you drop even one can on your foot. A broken bone is not out of the question. As for him, he's been stuck with a hurting b****y wife that couldn't get on her feet for a while, so he couldn't even go to the corner tavern to get away. He deserves $50,000.

  19. Usually beer for me. Occasionally wine. And on rare occasions I'll hit some of the hard stuff. Usually vodka, rum or tequila. If I drink whiskey, it's Crown Royal and I haven't had a shot of that in about 3 years.
  20. Aboz, the age of consent in Kentucky is 16. No worries there. You said you wouldn't use her, which is cool. But, it sounds like she's wanting to use some of you.
  21. And if he didn't do it. This is nothing compared to the overall fallout he will have had to suffer through because of some lying little slut. Just to put things in perspective.
  22. I haven't been to Busch since the first year of interleague play. Magglio was a late season call up. 1997? ... Anyway. Since they took the turf out of Busch and put in real grass, it improved it a lot. But, yes, it very well could be falling down. That one only lasted 40 years. They don't build stadiums like they used too.
