Juan Gone out for the year?
I had that exact thought when I heard Juan Gone was injured.

Or .... to see who is interested in who.

Who's Pulling the Trigger Here???
Hopefully this is the last move we have to make. If we have to make anymore we don't deserve to be in the playoffs anyway... What is the logic behind that statement? Please, enlighten me on this.

Crede
For a thirdbaseman, those numbers are very acceptable.

Carlos Beltran talk
I agree. I can't see Beltran getting that kind of contract in the current market.

The yankee series
What will be the case, is that he'll acheive command of his pitches and the walks will come down. But, he'll have the ability to not get gunshy with men on base. I like this kid. I think he's gonna be a good one.

Jeremy Reed
Rusty Greer was a damn solid ballplayer. I'll take any of those three guys as a youngster. In fact, the first time I saw Finley play, he was with Baltimore, and I told my father that Finley was going to be a damn good ballplayer, the Sox should go after him. Then they did almost acquire him from the O's at one point. I can't remember why the deal didn't happen, but I was disappointed. One other note ... a coworker of mine ended his high school career as a pitcher by giving up a home run to .... Steve Finley.

Extra ticket for tomorrow night's game!
If I buy the ticket from you, can I get a lapdance?

The yankee series
Yup, the tiggers. Then that is what I'd do. Cotts still walking to many to have him put runners on base against the Yanks. A couple of poorly timed dingers, and there's a game down the tubes.

Who is the worst player...
I don't know if it's a word, but in this case, it's very appropriate.

The yankee series
Yasny is an acronym for "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet". Who dod we have after NY? Is it Detroit? If so, I'd definitely flop MB and NC if there would still be 4 days off between MB's starts.

The Next Skippers
I'd like to see Sandy get some experience in the minors first. The same with Joe Girardi. I think he'll be a great manager and have said so in posts before. But, he needs to fine tune in the minors first. I still like the possibility of Wally Backman as Sox manager.

Who is the worst player...
We are in first place! Why the hell do we need a poll like this now?

5th starter?? If Cotts falters.
Jason, you have no idea how much I have teared up tonight at the mere thought of Neal getting his first win tonight...He's gonna be a stud!!! Now don't go getting all emotional on us.

Canal do jogo - 8/22/03 Texas Rangers vs White Sox
You can't go to the game... You have to stay home and do pbp. Never change what's working.

KC-Minni updates
A split would be perfect. But if anyone is going take 3 out of 4, I have to hope it's KC.

jose valentin
I know some people disagree with me, but I still think Jose has been a valuable asset to the Sox this year.

Breaking News: Sox acquire Scott Sullivan
Wow! Both barrels. LOL

Jerry Manuel
This board seems to have a quite adversarial tone tonight. Strange. If I didn't know any better, I'd have to say we were 20 games under .500 or so.

Breaking News: Sox acquire Scott Sullivan
I agree 100 percent, as i usually do with YAS.............. You know, I used to disagree with you quite a bit. You must be getting smarter.

Breaking News: Sox acquire Scott Sullivan
For those of you that don't know, I can attest to the fact that HSC is a very, very knowledgable baseball fan. I can understand why she is not quite investing all her hopes with this team, as I have been a Sox fan for 40 years or so. You learn to hold back a certain amount. Just like if you've been burned in love, the next time out you take it a bit more caustiously. Having said that, I have to respectfully disagree with HSC on the job KW has done this year. I believe he has made a solid effort to put together a team that has the potential to win the whole enchilada. I believe this team CAN win it all. I'm not saying it WILL win it all. We had a need for some lefthanded bats and improved infield defense, and KW went out and got two very solid, hardnosed veteran ballplayers in Everett and Alomar. We weren't using Glover, so KW tried to improve the pen by getting Schoenewhatever. That has worked out like hoped, but it's still possible that it will. Picking up Sullivan was a great move. We were in desperate need of a quality righthanded reliever, and Sullivan fits that description to a tee. There is no way I can criticize the overall effort and philosophy that KW has approached this race with. Some of his moves may be questionable to some, but I'll trade prospects for a legitimate chance to win it all this year.

Zambrono Gets Screwed out of a NoNo
It was a terrible way to lose a potential no hitter. He should have been given the opportunity to achieve it. He could have come out in the 9th all fired up, instead he had to be somewhat deflated. Fact remains, he got screwed. Couldn't have picked a better team for it to happen to, though.

Cardinals make 2 decent moves
One thing for sure, the Cardinals HAD to do something. There was no way they could stay in this race with the pitching staff in the shape it was. I just wonder why they waited so long.
