Jimenez bashing
In mho, Jimenez has been producing at an acceptable level. Someone made the point that if Thomas wasn't hitting a buck and change with RISP, then Jiminez would look that much better. I agree with that, too. However, there are times DJ seems to have his body on the field and his head elsewhere. It just takes some self discipline to overcome that, and I hope he cares enough to work on that. If he does, and doesn't alienate all his teammates in the mean time, he'll be ok. But, those are a couple of big "ifs".

barons box score for tonite....
I would guess that would be the case. In fact, I assumed as much when I read your post of the last inning.

KW was right...
When I saw the title to this thread, I knew it was going to be a short one. LOL

The hidden ball trick? .... Amazing!

E-LO K Tracker/GAME Thread
Didn't he sign a contract that gives the Sox an option for next season?

Cotts finally has bad outing
Rex, I respect your posts. Seems you know your stuff. I've been keeping a wary eye on that pitch count/bb situation, also. He has to learn to let the hitters get themselves out or he'll never make it to the show. I haven't seen Cotts, of course. But, you can tell a lot from boxscores.

those new sox commercials....
I nominate you to replace Gallas.

I'm a bad sox fan
I'm really nuetral when it comes to Jerry Manual. I believe KW has taken away any chance that JM had to do a good job. It's time to let JM sail the ship for a while and see if he can keep it afloat.

Baserunning
Maybe .... but he seems to play the game with his head firmly planted up his ass.

Our next center fielder?
There is no way we get Beltran without sending Crede to KC.

7-1
We'd be in deep s*** if Loaiza wasn't pitching so great. He has kept alive any chance this team has of rebounding this season.

DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?
They say Cooper and Koch have worked out some flaws Billy had with his mechanics. We all seem to think Cooper's a pretty good pitching coach. Let's give Koch a chance and see if he has worked things out and can go back to consistently bringing the heat. I read that he hit 97 tonight.

JM to address media at 4pm
As sad as it is, I was laughing my ass off reading through this thread. Some of you guys are really very funny, witty people. And I'm not being sarcastic here.

Secret Service in Oakland
First off... let me say that I did not read through this entire thread. I don't often jump in on these political discussions, but I am generally conservative in my views. That being said, I too, like apu, am very concerned about the erosion of our civil liberties. That is something every American has the DUTY to be on the watch for and speak out loud and long when they are being threatened. Do not ever take them for granted. If we do, the next thing we know, they will be gone.

Buehrle
The fact that he has 6 UER allowed this year compared to 7 all of last year tells you that there are too many innings that we are giving up extra outs, which translates to extra batters faced, which will lead to more baserunners per inning. Add to the fact that MB knows he has to pitch lights out to win a game, because we aren't hitting, he is therefore trying to be too perfect. He can't, or hasn't acheived the ability yet, to just relax and pitch his game and let what ever happens on offense happen.

Durham Injury
I hate to hear this. Ray is a damn good ballplayer.

Jon Adkins
If Adkins were a topnotch pitching prospect, do you really think Beane would have lethim get away?
-
Frank
Sadly, I believe Frank is playing himself out of the HOF. He put up some numbers that haven't been seen since Ted Williams, and yet, he's been on a downhill spiral for a few seasons now, 2000 excepted. The man was the greatest hitter ever to put on a White Sox uniform, with the arguable exception of Shoeless Joe. I really wish he could just zone in on hitting the baseball and forget all the other stuff going on around him... forget about JM, KW, the umpires, whether he is DH or 1B. Just hit the damn baseball ... everything else will take care of itself.

JOE COWLEY RIPS kw TO SHREDS!!!..PLAYERS TOO
I've heard it said that some people in positions of power in sports are leery of hiring minorities because of the hassles they encounter when they have to make a change. If Jesse Jackson and these other idiots would realize (or care) that they are more of a hindrance than a help to the minorities in this area, they might actually shut up. But, in retrospect, I really don't think they care. They just want to see their pretty mugs on TV and their names in paper. As for Steff and HSC... I unequivocably 100% believe that they told the absolute truth as they believed it to be at the time. I also believe that they will soon be vindicated when KW is in fact, officially relieved of his GM duties. To call them liars if this doesn't happen shows just how utterly classless and moronic some people can be. Do you recognize yourself? If the shoe fits, wear it.
