White Sox FINALLY send 9 men to the plate?!?
Dam8610 replied to RibbieRubarb's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Well, it does tend to work better when you don't have 4 players mired in nearly year-long slumps. -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) Hell Yeah? HELL YEAH!
-
O...K...
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 12:38 AM) Rowand has been killing the ball while batting third this season. He now has a .284 AVG with a .343 OBP. Do you keep him batting third and bat Frank cleanup a la the Maggs/Frank duo of last season? In a word: yes.
-
QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 12:58 AM) What's a s***heap? A Compost pile.
-
Well I just found out that I can't. Could a mod or admin take care of that please?
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) After reading some Indians' boards, they seem to think right-hander Jason Davis will start tomorrow. Should I change the subtitle of the thread then?

The White Sox are 19-4 against AL Central opponents. Hopefully, Garland will get his 9th win and the Sox will run that record to 20-4. That's an amazing record against division opponents.
-
Cotts just had his best outing in a Sox uniform. Congrats to him and keep up the good work. Always nice to fill a need from within in a playoff push.
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) I hope this guy doesn't pull the same s*** that all bad pitchers do to us. But this is an AL Central opponent. Don't we have like an .800 winning % against our division? (By the way, my 1st game thread ever. Here's hoping for a 1-0 start!)
-
Hopefully another White Sox winner against an AL Central opponent. We sure seem to be able to pound the division rivals this year.
-
Tsao won't clear any roster space for me, but thanks for the heads up. It's funny that you should say I have too many hitters, because this wouldn't be much of a situation if Jason Bay wasn't available in this league. I'd just drop Berkman for Wagner.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 03:09 AM) How big is your league? 10 teams, but one guy is a closer fiend and has about 6 or 7 of them.
-
Here's my situation: I have a dominating offense and a killer starting staff, however I only had one closer, and until yesterday, he was on the DL (K-Rod). I just picked up Huston Street (he'll get some saves eventually) and I'd like to pick up Ryan Wagner, but to do that, I have to drop a player, and I'm really having a tough time deciding who to drop. Who would you drop? C A. Pierzynski 1B N. Johnson 2B A. Soriano 3B D. Wright SS R. Furcal OF V. Wells OF C. Figgins OF T. Hunter Util B. Abreu BN V. Martínez BN T. Hafner BN P. Konerko BN A. Rowand BN É. Rentería BN L. Berkman SP J. Schmidt SP R. Oswalt RP Fr. Rodríguez RP H. Street P J. Peavy P F. García P D. Willis P M. Morris DL C. Tsao

No way! -
Two words: OMIT TIMO! WOW, he has 3051.87% of the vote!

What is the biggest need for the White Sox now?

Okay, who added the More Cowbell option? -

Here's my Eric Chavez dream situation: Eric stays on the A's for the duration of his contract and makes them pay him that entire salary while they have no chance of contending. Meanwhile, the White Sox find some miraculous way of acquiring David Wright. -

Since there's another topic about this that I can't respond in... http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting.php ^ I believe that's what you were looking for. -

Who cares? Hell, Larry Brown, one of the most esteemed and respected coaches in the NBA, blew up at a reporter recently when asked about taking the FO job with the Cavs. Everybody is going to have their bad moments where they aren't going to take tough questions very well. Sometimes it seems like some people forget that coaches, managers, GMs, etc. are still human.

Okay, so we've seen all the "Get Player X" threads over the past month or so, which is starting to make me wonder what everyone thinks we need most to be a better baseball team. So, what do we need? Maybe we're just fine the way we are?
-
Well, we almost had K-Rod to thank for a White Sox winner tonight. If Uribe doesn't pull that pitch (is that possible?), We're talking about a White Sox winner on a Juan Uribe Grand Slam. Woohoo, my 100th post!

If Kong & AJ finish this year with their career June stats, I will be the happiest Sox fan in the world.

Getting Everyday Eddie to help seal the deal against the Twins would be nice.
