Johan Santana Gets Rocked!
Maybe if Santana strings a couple more of those types of outings together.

Johan Santana Gets Rocked!
Although I like his method for preparing for a game (thus proving once and for all that video games are not worthless), I like it a lot more when he gets rocked, and even more when it comes from a team like the Blue Jays. Hopefully we'll see him string a few outings like this together.

Player's Association in video games
The funny thing about Barry is that they changed his name to the guy that busted Pete Rose for betting on baseball. Any signifigance to that?

How do I get my status changed to "Member - Buehrle Fans"?

I just wanted to clear something up............
But since the eye is not quick enough to see a .01 or even a .1 second difference between a ball getting to a glove and a player getting to a base, there will be a lot more practical ties than there are actual ties, and from what I've always heard, a tie goes to the runner.

Cuddyer on the Sox
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) In reality, the Twins probably have a reason to feel that way, and that is history. They have always been able to bury us the last 3 years. Even when we have started well, or played them well early, they have always managed to get hot. And honestly until we bury the Twins in August, I have a big fear of them in the back of my head, even with a 5 1/2 game lead. Technically, we do hold a 5 1/2 game lead right now, but only because we've played 3 more games. They're only 4 back in the loss column, and that's how far any team is really back IMO, because that's the ground they have to make up.

Some people are posting pics of softball players and no one has pulled a pic of Jennie Finch yet?

ESPN TV June 1 Sox and Angels
Unless you're out of market, we won't see the game on national TV. They'll just have ESPNews on here while Comcast, WGN, or WCIU does the game here.

Lets go frank
QUOTE(Nokona @ May 18, 2005 -> 09:49 PM) This Thomas kid will never cut it in the bigs. A big time prospect going 1-5? Who is this guy really? Honestly, this kid is doing nothing but disappointing. So what if he has over 400 career HR, doesn't every big leaguer?

Game Thread 5-18-2005 Sox vs Rangers
Looks like the Sox will be taking another series win into the weekend series, when they will proceed to pillage the Deadly Confines (aka the urinal) for a sweep, a 5 game win streak, and hopefully a 7.5 game or better lead on the Twins! But first, there's the business of Mark getting his 7th win.

Iguchi: Team-oriented player
Well Rowand also had a great deal of success in the 2 hole last year, and if it'll make Tadahito better to move him to the 3 hole, I'm all for it.
-
ARow rocks in 3-spot
Here's what I'd consider trying Lineup for now: 1) Podsednik LF 2) Rowand CF 3) Iguchi 2B 4) Konerko 1B 5) Everett DH 6) Pierzynski C 7) Uribe SS 8) Crede 3B 9) Dye RF Lineup for the return of The Big Hurt: 1) Podsednik CF 2) Rowand RF 3) Iguchi 2B 4) Thomas DH 5) Konerko 1B 6) Everett LF 7) Pierzynski C 8) Uribe SS 9) Crede 3B

Iguchi: Team-oriented player
Why not move ARow to the 2 hole and give Tadahito a shot as the 3 hole hitter? If he'd feel more comfortable in that position, I'd think it'd only make the offense better.

Over/Under on Hermey's scoreless streak.
The homer in me wants to say NEVER, but I know that unfortunately won't be the case. I say he will break the record and go a couple more outings before giving up a run.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 17, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) That sequence by Jon was the most incredible thing I have seen him do, since he got to Chicago. He mowed down a murders row, and didn't even look like he broke a sweat to do it. That inning was one of the best jobs of pitching out of a jam in recent times. I wouldn't be suprised to see ANY pitcher give up at least one more run there, but Jon held his ground. That inning was simply amazing.

Sports Illustrated's Free Agents Busts
QUOTE(Cali @ May 17, 2005 -> 01:53 AM) I'm shocked they even had a picture of Ordonez in his Tiger uniform available to be put up on their site.... He's had plenty of time to take pictures in a Tigers uniform, what with that season ending injury and all. Besides, now all it takes is a tiny bit of creativity combined with photoshop to put any player in any uniform.

Sox vs Rangers 5/17 - Game Thread
Go Jon! Don't let Judy see the light of day! Let's just hope he doesn't implode like the other starting pitchers have when I've posted on a game thread.
