  1. "Do baseball better" is my new favorite saying. ?
  2. I'm fine with players celebrating. I'm also fine with pitchers retaliating. Baseball isn't losing popularity because of old school rules. It's losing popularity because the games are long, there's not a lot of action and, easily the biggest reason, kids have so many other forms of entertainment that all sports will decline in popularity.
  3. We have Eloy and Cease because "Coop fixed em."
  4. That was clear when he went down with the shoulder.
  5. When did I ever say he's a non prospect? What are you talking about? I said his stature is always going to be obstacle and it's too early to tie him into any kind of "white Sox development."
  6. He's always going to be a unique case because he's a little person. I wouldn't tie him into white Sox development at all at this point.
  7. I never liked the Madrigal pick and still don't, but it's way too early to make any kind of call right now.
  8. I'd let all prospects skip Birmingham. It's where hitters go to die. ? On a serious note, I wonder if playing there affects development. It seems like a hard park to succeed. It certainly can't help confidence.
  9. I'd wager Robert and Collins are gonna move up the rankings pretty quickly and be on next year's opening day roster.
  10. I know somebody laughed at my Colon comparison, but they have similar profiles - big, thick Dominicans with a heavy fastball and inconsistent secondary pitches that flash plus occasionally. They also have a similar k/9 at the same age. Lopez won't be Colon, but he does remind me of him.
  11. I think his stuff is fine. He kind of reminds me of a young Bartolo Colon.
  12. That thread. I've made some dumb posts in my day, but that thread... ?
  13. We're due for some good news and good luck.
  14. Altuve is juicing so much that Correa is benching 375 just playing next to him.
  15. They had to. Baseball couldn't hide it anymore. Players had to get more creative.
  16. I also think the juiced ball contributed to the pre 2004 offensive spike as much as the use of PED's. Deadening the ball helped lower the numbers post 2004. Players are a lot better at gaming the system now though. Lots of guys are beating the olympic test. The ones that get caught do so because they get sloppy.
  17. That's absolutely insane. We'll agree to disagree.
  18. I went from competitive track cycling to powerlifting and it's pretty mind-blowing how prevalent PED's are in those disciplines. At least in powerlifting nearly everyone is open about it. In cycling, it's an absolute joke.
  19. That's rad. I disagree about Trout, but your story is really cool.
  20. I'd say 50% of baseball. 95% of the NFL. 99% of Cycling, MMA, Boxing are on PED's.
