5/5 Games #CeaseDay
And with that, you finally earn the ignore. My God, you're a blow hard.

Does Don Cooper have lifetime job security as pitching coach?
Wtf does this even mean? What is he spying on? Are they gonna have coke fueled orgies if Cooper goes on vacation.

James Fegan Nails It
It's becoming more and more apparent that the rotation is where money needs to be spent. They need a couple veterans to stabilize the rotation, eat innings, mentor and take some pressure off the kids. I think the lineup will be fine without free agency. They've had a terrible run of luck with pitcher health.

adam engel or charlie tilson?
This is like 197th on the Sox list of problems.

Fulmer and Ruiz optioned

5/4 Games
The load in his hands and swing remind me of Torii Hunter.

Rodon to IL; Giolito activated
All this talk is moot. There's absolutely no way the White Sox are going to extend a pitcher with all these arm issues. I don't give a fuck who his agent is. The Sox won't even sign healthy pitchers long term. It's been the organizational philosophy for decades, and it's one of the few I actually agree with.

Rodon to IL; Giolito activated
I pretty much already wrote him off when he had shoulder surgery, but this is obviously a bummer.

Rodon to IL; Giolito activated
Oh Sox fans. When the Sox keep pitchers healthy, it's that they're "teaching them to pitch to contact and falling behind the times." When they let pitchers rip and the pitchers get hurt "they suck and they need to blow it up." Personally, I think some pitchers are just more injury prone.

Next stretch of games will tell us how good (or bad) this team really is
I can already tell you - they're bad. Next thread.

#HireOz
It would be very White Sox to keep recycling old players and managers. What's Gene Lamont doing?

Game of Thrones
The show is stupid entertainment. It's not like you're dissecting Kurosawa or Tarkovsky here.

Luis Robert, others Promoted
Can we just get rid of Birmingham? It's where hitters go to die.
-
Game of Thrones
Arya's entire subplot is about her becoming an assassin that can change faces and move without making a sound.
-
Game of Thrones
In the books, she grows increasingly ruthless, not like her dad, but ruthless nonetheless.
-
Game of Thrones
I watched on Amazon Prime and it was super dark and pixelated. I have a 150mb line, so it wasn't the connection.

Game of Thrones
The only interesting aspect left is that Jon is the rightful heir and he's banging his aunt. Dany has no legit claim unless Jon dies, which is a possibility. I always thought Dany would go mad from power lust and Jon would have to kill her, but that doesn't seem realistic now.

Game of Thrones
Considering my favorite characters have been Arya, Theon, Melisandre, Beric and Oberyn, I'm satisfied. ? I always loved that there was a war going on and the BWB never gave a shit. They were just out hunting Lannisters because Ned sent them on a mission in book 1. It's like those Japanese soldiers who never realized WWII ended. I am disappointed that White Harbour and the Crannongmen never played a role. I'd have liked to see Victarion too.

Game of Thrones
I'm sure plenty of named characters will die. Jaime for sure. Cersei for sure. Maybe Tyrion. One of Jon or Dany for sure.
-
Game of Thrones
Although, everything involved with Melisandre was bad ass imo.
-
Game of Thrones
It all has a very "just wrap it up" feel. I'm sure everyone involved in the production just wants to move on with their lives.
-
Game of Thrones
Also kind of disappointed that the Direwolves had no impact on the story and that we never got to see Nymeria and her pack shredding Lannisters.
-
Game of Thrones
4 and 5 are just bad, tbh.

Game of Thrones
I guess I just always hoped all the characters would intertwine into something more epic. I still can't figure out what importance Dorne even has to the story aside from a bad ass character in Oberyn and a legend (that wasn't even an actual character) in Ser Arthur Dayne. At least Highgarden added to the political aspect. Obviously this has nothing to do with the episode. ?

Game of Thrones
Dorne? I guess it's too late to add them again. It's weird because the entire Dornish aspect of both the books and the show was a giant waste of time. I hated Quentyn, but I was hoping it would at least lead somewhere.
