Wieters famously "broke Pecota". https://www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article/8573/you-could-look-it-up-matt-wieters/

So he's Jeff Bagwell?

Ugh. Sox need to stop reaching for "need" with college bats.

Latin catching prospect with a good arm and a quick powerful swing? I like that.

College hasn't worked so well lately, go with a high upside HS guy. Even if his timeline is 2024+ you can trade him for help sooner.

Fun is back on the South Side. Two AL players of the month already, a near .500 record and beating down the Royals and Tribe. Not bad.

Seems well deserved. Not sure who could top those two starts. He's got what, 4 starts left before the ASG? Be nice to get 10 wins before then. He's now 4th in MLB in fWAR for pitchers at 2.5. 2nd in the AL behind Boyd (2.7) from the Tigers who is having a helluva year himself.

No, 6.

Tilson and Cordell are useful players and CF is covered with Leury, who is now at .9fWAR and playing a nice CF. Jay should be put out to pasture. Just cut him. I'd rather have Cordell.

Yup that's perfect. No reason to call him up before then.

Let him spend all of August and September in AAA, that should be good for about 150-200 PA down there. Next year they can do the "maybe he can make the club out of spring" talk and then bring him up once he's outside of super 2, if that's a concern for them.

Longerhans implied that the O's are more likely to pass on him than other clubs.

Thanks. Seems like if that doesn't happen Sox will try and underslot themselves and grab a prep arm in the 2nd. Just looking at Fangraphs' latest mock right now. Wouldn't be thrilled with another college corner bat but looks like that may be the pick.

So what's the best case? Thanks I'll take your answers off the air.

yea jason is right that could have easily popped out of the glove! wow what a play, sox have flashed the leather all series!

DEFENSE!

come on huge insurance run here.

bucknor because he has the worst zone in MLB. West is an asshat but calls a decent game from time to time.

Stone def knows the nuances of the game I'll give him that the key to good framing is to NOT move the glove so much. You see guys like Mccann, who isn't awful, but he still moves the glove too much on borderline ones. The key is to be subtle wit it.

like to see Yoan PH this inning.

wow nice job by tim not to rush, great turn by Yolmer and some emotion from Yonder and Gio! Nice to see.

Just checked the box wow Lucas don't do em like that!

because he's yolmer. not a smart runner.

good job morons. yolmer is brain dead as a baserunner.

is there a law that says alonzo has to play EVERY FUCKING DAY?
