  1. Bro we're on pace to have the WORST TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF 162 GAME SEASONS! I mean, it's like saying well at least the carpet is intact after a tornado just blew all your walls and roof off.
  2. Negative. That just means we've id'd the wrong guys.
  3. Good lord is that you Rick?
  4. Probably be losing 10 projected WAR. Don't see how in the next few years any combo of prospects replaces that. We're so fucked.
  5. Sadly we are looking at 100 loss teams 2-3 years out right now unless some absolute miracle happens and all our current top 10 prospects turn into useful regulars and/or stars. We're so fucked. We might have the worst future of any team in NA pro sports, including the Pistons.
  6. To be fair, I've heard Padres are into all sorts of s%*#.
  7. it's almost like when you sign old ass vets that didn't have a lot of ramp up time they will get injured. almost like there's a reason nobody really does that unless you're desperate not to field THE WORST TEAM OF ALL FUCKING TIME.
  8. Yep, perfectly said. At best for the Sox and Getz it's 1, which JFC, we're on pace to set loss and RD records, big win guys!
  9. I'm sure someone felt wronged and snitched. Or who knows, some of these guys are that stupid to be putting this out there on social media.
  10. If that's true MLB needs to immediately change the policy to notify every team of every investigation. That seems fucking crazy to me in a multi billion dollar cartel that teams wouldn't be sharing that info. But hey, this is Manfred ball.
  11. Why the hell would I give the Sox the benefit of the doubt here? There's literally no evidence we have as fans to assume the investigation was the primary factor in releasing him, especially given how HE WENT TO ANOTHER TEAM. You think the MLB and the Sox knew but the Phillies weren't in on the joke? C Come on.
  12. What a silly "dunk". You think the Sox knew? They had no clue either. A broken clock is right twice a day.
  13. Nah it's all "synergy". Not to be too cynical but the algo has us all at this point. These accounts are just part and parcel. Not that they are the genesis of it, they just pass it along and get paid.
  14. You are known as the master of analogies so how about gambling apps on the phone and advertised at parks and fields and arenas will do what vaping and e cigs did for that industry and ourselves: they will make us poorer and unhealthier but some people will get rich. I mean it's a free country and you have the right to slowly f*** yourself (or quickly if you'd prefer) but access is a thing and people WILL get hooked and suffer that would not have in a prior "you gotta go see a bookie or travel to ____" to bet era. There's too much money here and too much new ground not to have some sort of (hopefully not quite) cataclysmic event that happens eventually. I'm talking like someone getting shot or a player getting violent. Forget just the banal cheating, manipulating, conniving, someone will die at some point imo. And just to add I say this as someone that likes to place the occasional bet! I have my vices, but for whatever reason I can place a couple bets a year and call it good. Others cannot.
  15. Yea. We need to get our own house in order before hating on those guys. It used to at least be we had the better teams more often if if they were more popular. Well, what do we got now? Better ball park food? Christ.
  16. I think this kid could outhit Martin.
  17. Maybe, but it's more likely we're constantly down 2-5 runs and he's batting with nobody on. But, he's the only guy that even has a prayer at one for sure.
  18. It will be 162 games by the end of the year. A record that probably will never be broken.
  19. His top EVs are Robert like. He just needs to adjust to pitchers that can consistently throw their two best pitches for strikes. He probably didn't see much of that in the low minors and certainly as you said he needs reps.
  20. He could repeat AAA next year and still be completely on track to contribute in 2025 as a regular. I'm not too worried. Is he ATM a top 15 prospect in baseball? Probably not, but these things are obviously fluid and one stupid thing Hahn did get right is that progress it not linear, not usually anyways.
  21. Nah, I root for the CHICAGO White Sox. Not the Nashville Hot Chicken. They change the city it's over. I'll just watch Mariners games I guess.
  22. Shades of it for sure. Sad thing is that awful Bulls team had some talent. This Sox team, well, I dunno. Rotten all around.
