All you gotta do is luck into a franchise QB! Why didn't all the other teams think of that!

I've got Tigers and Mets on with Jason. Jason just feels like a hired gun. There's no real connection with the Tigers. Tigers are getting their ass kicked and he goes to break laughing about Mets fans enjoying a sun break. That's the sort of thing that just drives you nuts for the course of a season as a hardcore fan imo.

Jesus christ why do I have james shields (james shields) on my mind this morning.

Why the f*** would you cut any prospect with a pulse rather than just DFA Shields or one of the billion relievers? Doesn't make any sense bro.

can the honoree make the new game thread?

They might not lose as many, but they will have a season similar to the 23 Sox. They got over 15 fWAR from Julio, Suerez and Big Dumper last year. That won't happen again. Not to mention they got like 7 fWAR combined from the catcher spot. They will be lucky to get 3 this year. Julio is a nice player and he's probably more exciting than Luis, but I think Luis is better. He has more raw power for sure.

.231 .286 .269 Tim Anderson. Was PH for. lmao.

Eh, at least they called it rather than try and play.

I wonder how close he is to being ready. Probably needs at least a couple weeks, but knowing how this franchise does things it wouldn't surprise anybody to rush him.

I figured they'd trot Clevinger out there.

yikes. moncada gonna be out there like

play ball!

How we looking chicago meteorologists?

you tryin' to start a fight or something?

I'd like it to happen but it just seems unlikely given ownership and overall roster quality.

"can't flush 'em all" -- grifol

depends on how strong the weed is really.

I've watched like 90% of the innings live. It's been brutal. We get a hit like every 6th batter. It has been quickly brutal, which is nice. At least JR will suffer on concessions while we can get on with our day.

Yea see that now. Man, maybe he takes the closer role by the horns, might as well dream.

Doesn't matter, just keep churning over the roster for a minute. We're going nowhere fast position player wise anyways.

They both have three years left and already a TJS under their belt. Kopech is a bad temperament in addition to risky arm imo.

I'd probably look to deal both guys (assuming they have had good seasons relatively) this deadline. Their arms have had a lot of usage and injuries already and although I'd wish both guys well and another thousand MLB innings each -- I just don't see it. It's a good problem to have if it happens. Crochet is clearly on another level he could really get a haul if he's having a '22 Cease like season.
