  1. Lol paulie. Now that's a good reason for a shoulder shrug.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) Under the radar GM? Omg, Hawk. Yeah....that was awful.
  3. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) DV missed meat right there. Took the walk though!
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 09:10 PM) Hawk, don't need pbp of Tigers game. We all have Internet. Would you prefer Yaz stories?
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 08:53 PM) Why is Youk taken out? We don't know yet but it has to be something health.
  6. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 08:51 PM) I think this is greedy. We'll see. Gets through this inning it's a win
  7. Big impressive comeback already. Crank it down now Q
  8. Nice quick reply by the back of our order
  9. Man that was one weak fly ball to leave the park.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) Crain breaking down Crain has always been iffy on health. We gambled on that when we went all-in last year.
  11. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 07:02 PM) Agreed. I like the stones on the kid, but don't think Axe is viable long term. Great test for Q tonight, but he's shown me a lot already. A pitcher doesn't need to have a sub 3 ERA to be useful. If he can put up an era in the 4's, and conveniently be cheap...great.
  12. As one of the big fans of this bill and health care policy...you've officially reached my limit for not-caring-ness.
  13. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 04:26 PM) It's the worst in the union. Yes, worse than California. I know that about Illinois, the city as well? Fair to say then that "costs of additional borrowing" might well be fairly extreme compared to the national inflation rate?
  14. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 04:21 PM) Sure. Do what they've done during the good times and borrow...when they should have been paying it down. Now is the time for them to borrow and spend...NOT burden the citizens...it's just the wrong time. It's bass ackwards, to coin a phrase...now is the worst time you could choose to burden people...when they're on the cusp of going under. What's the credit status of the city of Chicago like these days? I honestly can't say I know...but given that they were so desperate to fill a budget hole 2 years ago that they sold their parking meters for pennies on the dollar I'm going to guess they'd have to pay higher rates than say, the negative interest rate being paid on 10 year inflation adjusted treasuries. (I'd be totally in favor of additional federal aid to cities and states to help close some fo these gaps and I think that's where the spending needs to come from, since that's the asset that can be printed and inflated away if you're desperate.)
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 04:17 PM) Sorry I made some edits, as I usually do, to expand on my feelings. You don't balance it right now. That's the point. You balance it into surplus during good times...not during times of crisis. Does the city actually have a choice?
