Chicago White Sox @ Cleveland Indians, GAME 1.
I guess from where he was, going 5/20 is an improvement for Dunn. Especially since that's coming off an 0/15.

David Ortiz, JD Drew, and Mike Cameron's contracts come off the books for them this offseason. They're currently at $166 million this year and their commits for next year are $122 million to 11 guys. They have a $6 million team option on Scutaro and a $3 million option on Dan Wheeler, in addition to a number of pre-arb guys, so push that to $138 million to cover those guys. They still have maybe $25 million to play with this offseason to get back to the salary for this year. Youkilis is a FA at the end of 2013 (with a 2013 option), 2012 ends and they get rid of Matsuzaka and Jenks as well. Pedroia is locked up through 2014. They could use a 3b to push Youkilis to DH/1b next year if they get rid of Ortiz, in addition to pitching and a corner OF. But they're going to have money to spend each of the next 2 offseasons.- Job Hunt Thread

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 08:09 PM) Well to be fair, me, you, Balta, fathom, jenks, and strangesox are all accounts I made up as well. So no one would suspect anything when it came time to dominate an argument, I use them to argue with each other over things like politics and game threads, that way when it came to own a guy who was just blowing my arguments away, I could do so. Next up, trading at UBS and funding social security. Wow, you're incredibly determined to argue with yourself about politics. There's no way this is healthy. Precious. Preeecious.- 2011 Music Thread

QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 07:15 PM) While that makes sense, I can't see the situation where neither of those teams would not be interested. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) I don't care if someone who is making more than 99.99% of the world "feels" wealthy, it's still a really, really stupid thing to say and shows how divorced he is from the reality of most people. edit I don't disagree with what you're saying there, just that ignorance isn't a good excuse. What you should realize is that the problem here is the existence of the hyper-rich. When you have the hyper-rich class, the people taking $400k a year home are going to feel poor. That's just how the psychology would work. These people don't feel rich and telling them that they are won't make them feel rich.- The Democrat Thread
