  1. Oh I agree. It’s 100% why I’m not a big Blackhawk’s fan. Hard to get into hockey while growing up when it’s not on TV and the other team sharing that stadium had this one really good player.
  2. According to Jason, McEwing would be an upgrade over Nevin, Yankees led the league in outs at home.
  3. There is a legend, you have to zoom in to see text. Seattle and surroundings have mlb.tv local blackouts for the Mariners, Maine is for Boston only.
  4. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/catcher_framing?year=2021&team=&min=q&sort=4,1 Yup
  5. Well I’d try that if I could, but I’m also worried about him just being rusty. This is an awful lot of time off to stay sharp.
  6. Is it odd that Rodon would have a throwing day today if he wasn’t going to pitch again until Sunday? That just seems like a very long gap.
  7. Um...The Astros have something of a sordid history involving their use of video.
  8. There's no reason to tell Houston what pitchers they have to prepare for until MLB mandates it.
  9. I don’t disagree but I will also listen based on the return, especially if some team is trying to shift things around due to the new CBA. The list of guys I would move him for who might actually be marketed isn’t long.
  10. I think this one fits you? https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2021/10/05/mlb-playoffs-2021-stream-watch-online/
  11. Burger has options left right?
  12. My guess is that the most likely Arozarena is Arozarena. ?
  13. If it helps the team focus to see stuff like that fine, but I see no reason to get bent out of shape about it. A team that hasn’t won a playoff series in 16 years up against a veteran team, with them finishing with a better record and home field advantage, and stomping us head to head this year? Of course they’re the expected pick. It’s up to the White Sox to surprise and overcome those expectations. Now if the Giants want to be pissed about the odds being on the Dodgers, they earned that right.
  14. Honestly I would have so preferred to get Lynn into a home game that Id have even tried to finagle Rodon and the bullpen heavy into game 2, especially coming off extra rest this week and before an off day. But with this team…if I think Giolito gives me the best chance to win on the road right now, I want him in game 1.
  15. Makes sense to me. Plus, if Gio could only give 4 innings with the Astros working counts, Lynn coming out of the bullpen for an inning could make sense.
  16. As a geologist, I would just like to give a strong endorsement to the idea of cheering for a player named Geyser.
  17. The reason MLB won’t do this is actually ARod. Back in 07 he had an opt out in his contract, and our good friend Scott Boras decided to leak that ARod was going to opt out on the final night of the World Series, allowing Fox to spend several breathless innings discussing that as though it was far more important than the actual game in front of them. I don’t think anyone ever wants to see that again, and especially not now in the age of Twitter.
  18. I mean, the problem is the Astros can literally say the same thing - they don't need to play above their potential either. Their offense is good enough to keep them in games and if they get a starting or bullpen performance or two, they can push into a lead. That's why this is a difficult series to assess.
  19. Well in general it's like the NFL injury report - no need to tell your opponent those details until it's required.
