  1. FYI: Carter Kieboom playing well lately, hit 3 HRs the other day. "Nationals prospect Carter Kieboom hit three homers on Sunday for Low-A Hagerstown. Have yourself a day, Mr. Kieboom. In addition to the dingers, he also hit a double and knocked in five runs. A first-round pick last year, Kieboom is an impressive athlete, and he's shown the ability to apply his athleticism one the diamond quicker than anticipated. There's still a long way to go, but he's a definite dynasty prospect. May 1 - 2:20 PM"
  2. I've had fun going to the ACC games this year, so much talent between Louisville, UNC, FSU, UVA, NC State
  3. Given the salary we've dumped between Sale & Eaton and will likely dump at the deadline, I'd have to think Hahn is pressing JR really hard to open up the wallet
  4. QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Apr 20, 2017 -> 11:57 AM) Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal now Source: MLB has cleared free-agent Cuban outfielder Luis Robert to sign with a club. Ok, so $h!t has officially gotten real? What do put our chances at him, 25%?
  5. What's the argument against moving up Adams to AAA? I get the sense he's now projected more as a 3-4 starter?
  6. Just watching the NC State vs UNC game now. Not overly impressed by Jb Bukauskas. Maybe a 4-5 or reliever? Maybe I'm missing something. Warmoth is a nice little player but I can't see him sticking at SS in terms of range and arm. NC States LHP Sean Adler looks really good. Big left handed with a nice ability to change speeds and keeps hitters off balanced
  7. Here are some video clips of Lopez and Moncada: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5hzewb http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5hzfpt http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5hzg73
  8. A few clips from the game last night
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 09:14 PM) Really stretching out Lopez tonight. Box won't be pretty but this was a good start Agree. I was really impressed watching him pitch in person. Only complaint is that he seemed to lose focus on a few batters falling behind 3-0, but overall really good. Surprising he came back out in the 6th. I will upload a few video clips I took at the game. May or may not be interesting (especially for those with MilBtv)
  10. First batter reached on E-6. Struck out the next guy and showed a decent pickoff move. He hit 98 on a few pitches that inning. Moncada leads off the T4 with a 4 pitch walk. He then makes a gutsy choice and tags up to second on a fly ball, and scores the next batter who doubled.
  11. Nice second inning for Lopez, called third strike at 97, strike out swinging on an 83 mph curve in the dirt, and a strikeout swinging at 97 after falling behind 3-0
  12. Guy square up Lopez pretty good with a HR to left. Moncada took a called third strike on a 3-2 count Lopez sat comfortably at 95-96 on the FB in the first
  13. Will do, perfect night for a game, mid 70s and not a cloud in the sky. Hopefully Lopez throws a gem. My 8y old is stoked
  14. Going to the game tonight in Durham, will be sitting a few rows behind the Knight's on deck circle. Will try to take a few pictures and/or videos.
  15. I don't know the history of whitesoxdave and why people do/don't like him, but anyone who is a diehard fan and spends as much time as he does trying to provide value is cool by me. Well done on the interview and hopefully this venture takes off and leads to success for you guys.
  16. QUOTE (beautox @ Mar 30, 2017 -> 09:39 PM) I want to believe. If the sox are so lucky to have that happen and not crap out on developement like the cubs... DH - S - Bell C - L - Collins 1B - L - Beer 2B - S - Moncada SS - R - Anderson 3B - R - Machado - might as well live the in this dream LF - R - Robert CF - L - Meadows RF - S - Basabe bench UT - R - Saladino UT - L - Delmonico OF - S - May C - ? If that happens, then all well need is a Chris Sale
  17. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Mar 30, 2017 -> 11:05 AM) https://www.fanragsports.com/mlb/sl-cardina...eeper-quintana/ Cardinals could be sleepers for Quintana according to jon heyman A Cardinals offer for Q reminds me of when a fantasy football team offers you 4 bench guys for your top RB (doesn't matter how much quantity they offer)
  18. Even if you get BOTH Martes and Tucker, you can argue both are less valuable than Moncada and Kopech. So it seems like both should be the floor IMO.
  19. I'm kind of tired of the attitude from Astros fans and their GM. I'm not budging one iota if I'm Hahn.
  20. From that article: "The White Sox also have other pieces that would pique interest. One is closer David Robertson. Most baseball folks thought he’d be with the Nationals by now, but Washington president of baseball operations Mike Rizzo has resisted giving up touted catching prospect Pedro Severino. Without Severino, the White Sox likely wouldn’t be interested. The Nationals are leaning toward offering a combination of Shawn Kelley, Koda Glover, and Blake Treinen."
  21. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 24, 2017 -> 02:36 AM) Not that I disagree with your main point, but if you're looking for guys with the upside of Moncada & Kopech, you'll never be moving Quintana. Those guys have arguably the highest ceilings in the entire minors. My guess is that he meant top 10ish players as headliners (which Meadows is currently considered)
  22. Dang, Acuna is crushing it. Kid was 3-3 with 3hrs the other night.
