QUOTE (The Critic @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 09:14 PM) Sparkling grape juice, isn't it? I get that for my 8-year-old. Exactly, and it's delicious. It's one of those things that comes around yearly, and I just have to have it when I can (Cadbury Creme Eggs, etc.). And no, I do not like non-alcoholic beer.

HHH...This one would have been a lot better, had I waited one millisecond longer for him to do the spit thing. Batista...That was the best timed picture of the night. Undertaker Big Show Cryme Tyme HBK Survivor Series Logo I took about 30 pictures, but some of them are pretty foggy due to the smoke from the fireworks. There were also some other pretty good ones, but they were of Kung Fu Naki and other crap.

We had pretty good seats, but were directly across from the entrance, so the pictures I took are all kind of far away. Anyone know how I can post a picture from my computer?

Pirates sign two pitchers from India
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 10:39 PM) I hope Viciedo homers off these kids’ multiples times in the minors so we can mock the Pirates and their version of an international sighing. That being said, I think that India has a lot of potential as an unexplored region of baseball talent. It’s amazing to think that only 6 or 7 years ago it was the Midwest of the USA that was under-scouted. And now we’re global And for you sticklers: No I don’ t think Viciedo will ever meet these kids in the minors. And yes, I agree they’ll need for time in the minors then he’ll ever need There are over a billion people in India. You think?

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 10:23 PM) The PPV was decent at best last night. Best match of the night was the Team Orton/Team Batista match. Although, the best moment was Edge winning the title...simply because i'm such an Edge mark. p.s. last night proved that Kozlov is nowhere near ready for a main event. That was an awful 12 minutes. The end to the Undertaker/Big Show match was so gay. There was a collective "really?" from the crowd.

Bobby Crosby
QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) Here's a clue: when eight hours have gone by and there are 35 posts, there probably isn't much to it. It'd be different if there was even the slightest hint from a sportswriter, radio station, or at least a "friend in the organization" mentioned in the first post.

This would suck.

Threads that are entirely baseless should be tagged as such. I'm tired of opening a thread to see that it's just someone's idea.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 10:20 AM) Trip was good. Was absolutely freezing on the Saturday, we walked from South Station to Quincy Market at Fanueli Hall and had some lunch (New England Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl). Then we walked to Beacon Hill, looked in the Cheers Pub, went to another pub, and then back to our accomodation on Hemenway. Then we went out to some bars around Fenway, and ended up in the city centre and in a few bars then. Actually was talking to a guy at the bar at 1 place about American Sports for 2 hours, even if he was a Cubs fan. Yesterday, we went to Havard in the morning, and then yesterday afternoon we were going to go to the Boston Tea Party Museum, until we found out that it was burnt down a few years ago. Oops. I liked the city, but it was just WAY too cold for me there. Would like to go back in the Summertime. It was unseasonably cold over the weekend. It's not always that bad.

Dog Fighting
QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 03:49 AM) Death row is a bit extreme because there are people who murder other people and don't even get death row, however, the year or however long he did in jail was perfect punishment IMO. He spent time in jail, its not like he had some ridiculous sentence.. he lost his job, he lost all his money. I think its safe to say he learned quite the lesson from all of this. I however do not think hunting is as bad because you aren't hunting domesticated dogs, you are hunting stupid s*** that no one gives a f*** about. I could care less about a deer or a quail or a pig. Those aren't pets (Only to some weirdos) and there is actually a use to it for the food. Having two dogs rip eachother apart and torturing them and then killing them when they are useless.. that aint even CLOSE to the same thing as hunting.. Well, I'm a pretty firm believer in the death penalty. I think it should be used much more than it is. So, that's where I'm coming from when I say these guys, too, should be on death row. In regards to the bold part, who the hell hunts pigs? Ha, unless you mean a wild boar or something.

Dog Fighting
While I see the logic in the argument that they're "just animals," there has to be a line. Some people can argue that hunting is just as bad, but the objective in hunting is to take an animal down as quickly and cleanly as possible, whereas fighting animals is just an elongated torture for an animal. It's an opportunity to witness the slow, painful death of an innocent animal in order to place bets. It's sadistic, cruel, and cannot be defended. Michael Vick should be grateful that he's only doing prison. If I were the judge, he'd be sitting on death row.

Anyone try an energy drink named Cocaine?
QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 01:02 AM) Not really, I type so fast it's an automatic movement when my keys touch the keyboard and when I'm drunk, naturally, my fingers start hitting the wrong keys. I could hit backspace to correct it but then I end up taking extra letters out and/or missing the backspace key entirely and just f***ing it up worse and making it harder to correct. So it's a vicious cycle, my terrible typing is for real. Lightweight.

Anyone try an energy drink named Cocaine?
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 22, 2008 -> 02:16 PM) Beer got to Slav again I still believe that people who spell that terribly while drunk are doing so on purpose to show people how "drunk" they are.

Our leadoff possibilities are tightening
QUOTE (heirdog @ Nov 21, 2008 -> 09:13 AM) I think a Konerko for Figgins + prospect is the move KW will look to do. Figgins will play 3B and lead-off and Fields would move over to 1B. Getz/Nix will play 2B and bat 2nd. Betemit will be the super utility player. I'd look for an Owens/Anderson platoon in CF. If KW can get solid prospects for Dye, he may look to do that as well in order to open the spot for Viciedo if he feels he's ready or else, Dye will be there again this year. That would be a terrible infield.

Cora To Stay
QUOTE (YASNY @ Nov 20, 2008 -> 11:54 PM) Based on what you just wrote here, I'd ignore you too. He's a little runt? WTF is up with that. Were ever s starter on a ML baseball team? Have you ever interviewed for a manager's position on a MLB team? Accomplishment-wise, who's the runt? Perhaps you should keep the discussion to the players. The guy didn't really say anything bad, and it's his opinion.

Jason Varitek?
QUOTE (YASNY @ Nov 20, 2008 -> 11:50 PM) I'm sorry, but Jason Varitek deserves much more respect than that remark. Well, you can probably change "crappy" to "washed up," but that's pretty much true.
