QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 11:50 AM) LOL, im thinking of the Tom and Jerry Episode where Tom is trying to impress the indoor cat by playing the bass "Is you is, is you aint my baby" Ha, I actually thought of Cartman's cat from one of the early South Park episodes. The cat orgy one.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 11:33 AM) Yeah, that racist comment is less than funny or appropriate Well, it's not actually a race. Judaism is a religion.

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 12:37 PM) When I was real little, we had between 12 and 20 cats around the house. All strays, they would just congregate around our house. We had one indoor cat, if I remember correctly. It clearly must have been a whore.

QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Nov 8, 2008 -> 10:31 AM) Maybe in bizzaro world I didn't realize you were a middle-aged unwed woman.

QUOTE (Texsox @ Nov 7, 2008 -> 11:34 PM) That one is better. This one was plain text on a white Y. Now put it on a guy who probably never had a date and realizes he may never have a date. Where did you buy yours from?

Gold Glove Award Winners Announced for Both Leagues
Milkman delivers replied to Kalapse's topic in The Diamond Club
I think I can agree with most of these picks. I disagree with Maddux, McLouth, Young, and Hunter. -
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 7, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) That's great! My wife got me this one for my birthday: I swear, I've seen this shirt in the past and thought of you. I am not kidding.

QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Nov 7, 2008 -> 05:14 PM) I have a similar relationship with Forrest Gump. First Viewing - Teary eyed; Four Stars! Second viewing - dry eyes; three stars third viewing - "This movie is kind of corny" ...last viewing - "take your box of chocolates and go f*** yourself, Forrest!" Maybe it wasn't that extreme but I did grow to like Forrest less and less each time I would watch the film. I still can' believe it won best picture over Shawshank Redemption. I could never see Forrest Gump enough times. I've actually watched it twice in a row when they show it back-to-back on TBS. For the Oscar, you can't really go wrong with Forrest Gump or The Shawshank Redemption.

Brian Anderson and Brad Penny at club
Milkman delivers replied to chisox2334's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Nov 4, 2008 -> 05:23 PM) The idea that Anderson can be a plus hitter is still conjecture. When given (nearly) a full years of at bats he failed miserably, when given a specific assignment (hit lefties) he did decently. Swisher, however, had demonstrated throughout his entire career (HS, Collegiate, Minors, Majors) that he is able to hit for plus-power, while demonstrating tremendous plate discipline. His defense, while not of Gold Glove caliber, has never been anything less then completely acceptable when packaged with his skills at the plate. Swisher’s last year was by every single account a statistical aberration, or in layman’s terms a down year. Assuming that Swisher hasn’t regressed permanent (And at his age this would be fascinating if true) I have every expectation of him to reverse this trend, and keep hitting back to his former statiscal levels. You don't consider at all the strong possibility that Swisher was on steroids. -
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 02:48 PM) You know what, I think it'd be pretty cool to get an autographed picture from someone who will be in the HoF one day. That'll last someone a lifetime. I have to imagine that he was being sarcastic.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 12:38 PM) BTW, I did enjoy Charlie Wilson's War. Told you so.

QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 1, 2008 -> 12:27 PM) Maybe.. all I know is cussing is the best thing ever Agreed.

Blanco is 37. I still want him, but I didn't realize he was so old.

QUOTE (Shadows @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 11:01 PM) man, I wish that it wasn't "wrong" to cuss because it really is the greatest way to emphasize things But then again, cursing wouldn't be so emphatic if it weren't "wrong."

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 11:06 PM) So the wife made me take her to a movie tonight. For some reason, she picked "Changeling". I can confidently state it's the most pointless movie I've ever seen. Just a total waste of 2 1/2 hours. Honestly, I would have been more entertained if I saw HSM3. Will be nominated for 14 Oscars.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 08:31 PM) I'm going as a pornstar. I just shaved my beard into a stache with a flava sava. I than borrowed my buddies UPS shirt and hat and bought a pair of brown shorts on sale for like 10 bucks and cut them super short (it looks terrible...all you can see are the white/hair on my thighs). The reason for going in the UPS gear is because I'm going to be "delivering a package". No idea how it will go over, but I look ridiculous regardless (the stache with the flava sava and short shorts looks terrible). I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. Please don't.

I have a Steve Winwood CD in my car. "Bring me a higher love"

This offseason is already going very well, with all of the recent news. I also can't wait to drop this guy so I don't have to see his name spelled incorrectly every other post.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 11:07 AM) It will be much harder to replace th defense and defense is what wins games. Plus if Creded is healthy you have a 30 homer guy that is a clutch performer. I am in the group that believes things will still happen this off season that can change this story line I can't wait for Crede to be gone, just so I can stop reading your posts about him.
-
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 30, 2008 -> 06:11 PM) I am hopeing we sign Crede and Uribe both. Uribe can give us solid insurance at 2B and most certainly as the super sub. It is rather sad to see a player of Ken Griffey Jr's caliber being listed as a Type B free agent. It's all in what do you have left and done for me lately though. I don't see him abck with the Sox, but I think he did bring some class to the organization and helped us ger to the playoffs What the f*** else are you going to base it on?

2008 World Series - Philadelphia Phillies vs. Tampa Bay Rays
Milkman delivers replied to knightni's topic in The Diamond Club
I have to admit, even though the series is possibly almost over, I've slowly been rooting more and more for the Phillies. I wouldn't be upset with either team winning, but there are plenty of guys (especially older guys) on the Phillies that I'd like to see win it all, while the Rays are mostly young and may have more chances in the future. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 07:22 PM) 7 RBI in 2008. 3 RBI in 2007. Toby Hall blows. I'm not using it against him anyway. Get someone else. His .902 OPS against lefties meant squat, and defensively I feel he leaves a lot to be desired. There are better catchers sitting at home. He more than doubled the runs he produced. Give him a few more years and he'll put up record numbers.

The end to this game is turning out to be extremely interesting. -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 01:50 PM) Zohan: Pretty funny. Not what I expected. The Strangers: Not Scary I hope you're kidding. That movie was unbearably unfunny. Sandler has made some pretty awful movies of late, but this was his worst since Going Overboard.
