  1. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 19, 2008 -> 04:48 PM) the shock factor of how good Batman Begins was makes it seem like a better movie, but it doesnt hold a candle to the story and development of TDK in my opinion. We came in to the theatre knowing the characters and tone of The Dark Knight, and had expectations. With Batman Begins, we were all like "Ha, this needs to be better than "Batman and Robin"" I'll counter that with saying that everyone is so high on this movie because they just saw it and are getting carried away.
  2. Ha, we might as well give Heath the Oscar now. Even if someone gives a better supporting performance, the fact that he died after filming combined with his "amazing," "incredible," "stunning," and "breathtaking" performance pretty much wraps it up for him. I already think the movie is going to annoy me soon with all the fellating going on. Batman Begins was better, despite Katie Holmes.
  3. First, let me start by saying: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO suspension over. I still think it was a great movie, though. Iron Man was better.

QUOTE (Shadows @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 11:23 PM) Get outttttta here It was very funny, someone else who has seen it needs to back me up here I saw it with about 10 people. Not a single person didn't think it was one of the worst movies they'd ever seen. And we're not high-brow.

You guys sound like huge tourists (which, I guess you are). Just go to Faneuil Hall, and go to those bars. Here's a hint. Go to Sissy K's, as they have 1 dollar drafts. Get there before they start charging the cover, get hammered for cheap, and then wander off throughout Faneuil (or wherever you end up). There's plenty of bars and restaurants right there for your amusement.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 05:02 PM) Milkman!!!! September 9th I've gotten quite a few IM's in the last 20 minutes linking to the DVD on amazon.
  7. Does anyone know of a program that can take songs from an ipod, and put them on a computer? My old computer crapped out on me, and I have a new one. I'd like to put the songs from my old computer/ipod onto the new computer, without erasing them.
  8. QUOTE (quickman @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) doesn't matter he would have ended up there anyway. AJ cannot throw out a 90 year old gimp. meanwhile 2-0. Nice start. Pfft, he can throw out Sun Times reporters with ease.
  9. Welcome back to Earth, Jose. This game is getting extremely ugly extremely fast. Anyone going into chat?

So, I'm sitting here listening to my ipod, and the Ghostbusters theme comes on. And it gets me to thinking, they're making all these sequels and remakes now. Why not make a third installment of this franchise? Give it a nice little wrap up, but leave out new characters and just run with the main characters (they're all still alive). I mean, I don't want to see Shia LaBeouf as Egon's son, but I'd like another Ghostbusters movie.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 04:35 PM) Strange Wilderness was terrible. Not funny at all, aside from a few wildlife voiceovers. It was just annoying to watch the fat Jewish kid from Superbad attempt to pull off a southern accent, in addition to his co-start failing to say or do funny things. I honestly question the judgment of my friends, who claimed it was funny. They were obviously under the influence of something. I commented on that movie when it came out. You should really consider reading my reviews. I think I said it was one of the worst movies I'd ever seen, period. It also got panned by critics and sites like IMDB and rotten tomatoes.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 04:49 PM) It's outlandish, sure, but I like the idea because it's one of those movies where there's no simple solution to the problem. Humanity is screwed. Of course, when I read scenes such as the one you referenced above it doesn't give me much hope.

Yeah, I just got back from The Happening. I recently posted a spoiler in this thread about the movie, and it was dead on. Everything the guy said would happen, happened in the exact order he said. There was just about 5 minutes added to the very end, and that's the only difference. Also, every single death in the movie is shown in the commercials. So, if you're going to it for the gore, just watch the preview for it. That's the extent of it.

I saw You Don't Mess With The Zohan on Thursday. It's by far the worst Adam Sandler movie I've ever seen, although I never saw Going Overboard. Don't get me wrong, I expected it to be bad, but I see almost every movie that comes out nowadays.
  15. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 12:54 AM) She could be really religious, I met a girl that lived in my dorm this past year who was quite attractive and was saving herself. Well, that was her story. It got you off her case, didn't it? You've been had.
  16. As little as I cared about politics, Tim Russert was the guy who introduced me to politics more than any teacher I ever had. RIP.
  17. There are two things that I didn't even know concerning this: 1.) The Sox drafted Jordan Danks. 2.) John Danks was represented by Boras.
  18. Hahaha, oh man...I laughed for a while at that one.

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Jun 7, 2008 -> 07:47 PM) Yeah I agree, had I seen this link earlier I might have also enjoyed the movie more than I did, still some of the action scenes alone were solid and typical Indiana Jones. Saw "the strangers" last night, not bad. Maybe its just me, all horror/scary movies are revolving around the same concept of some guy coming out of the woods to kill or a family goes to haunted hotel or something. No, that's totally wrong. The action in this movie was SO MUCH MORE over the top than any of the other three combined. In The Last Crusade, he shoots through like 4 German soldiers on a tank. In the new one, they drive a car into a tree, which lightly drops them into a river. In The Temple of Doom, he rides in a rail car. In the new one, he survives a nuclear bomb by hiding in a fridge and being thrown half a mile in it. This movie was nothing like the others.
  20. Bob told me to tell all of you to get into chat.
  21. They do this every year. They always try to make it seem like someone is going to get the Triple Crown, and the horse always gets smoked in the final race. Did you hear the stuff right before the race? They were talking about how Big Brown was cool and collected. It's a f***ing horse.
  22. Not happening. Big surprise.
  23. And they're off.
  24. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 7, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) worst commercial out right now is the taco bell one for the double beef burrito with the rap.....drives me nuts btw i love any of free credit report.coms jingles...those are so bad they are good...like the red roof inn one Oh, I hate those Taco Bell commercials. On the other hand, I love the jingles for almost any Dunkin' Donuts commercials. I especially like the jingle for reluctantly helping my friend move.
