  1. So, with the Extra Innings package, I'm definitely not going to be able to see the first game, and probably not the second, right?
  2. Greatest voice in the history of Rock: Brad Delp.
  3. Funny that a couple of alcohol-related threads have appeared today (someone's birthday).
  4. The way everyone is responding is confusing to read. Contenders: Arizona, Cubs, and Milwaukee Pretenders: Oakland, St. Louis, Baltimore, and Florida
  5. I thought it was common knowledge that MVP had been in prison. When they said he wore his costume because Vince wanted to cover them up, I just automatically assumed they were prison tats.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2008 -> 11:37 AM) I think the age of BS has something to do with its rank, especially when you look at all of the "new" movies on the list. I seriously consider it, by far, the greatest comedy of all time, and its not even close. The one liners, the double entres and the suble genius that is Mel Brooks really shown through in that movie. I think I have seen it at least 100 times over the years, and it never gets old. BY FAR the funniest movie I've ever seen. Some of the movies on this list shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as it.
  7. I don't like that the funniest movie wasn't picked as funniest movie by anyone. It's like the Cardinals winning the World Series in 2006.
  8. It has fallen off, a lot. And my opinion is the only one that matters around here. So, THERE!
  9. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 02:06 PM) Economic stimulus payment schedule If we had our federal returns directly deposited, this will also be direct deposit?
  10. QUOTE (CWSGuy406 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 11:21 PM) If you're in that camp, that's fine. "She's a witch!" I am, with the HOF voters.
  11. There hasn't been a good episode this season. I used to laugh out loud at each episode, and this season I've done it maybe twice. I can't even recall a specific time I did.
  12. QUOTE (CWSGuy406 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 08:19 PM) Oh, okay, so that only applies when we're in a courtroom. Thanks for that. It doesn't apply here, that's for sure.
  13. It's the funniest movies thread. The 40-Year-Old Virgin is funnier than The Graduate. The Graduate, much like Dr. Strangelove, is a damn good movie that's considered a comedy (clearly better than Virgin), but they sure as hell aren't funnier.
  14. QUOTE (CWSGuy406 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 04:41 PM) And...? The burden of proof is on you, the accuser, not me (or Zito, for that matter) -- as you (basically) say yourself with the first part of your second line there. Whatever -- we've had this discussion before and it is what it is. You -- and if I say anything false, feel free to correct me -- fall into the camp of people who want to know who did what and when they did it, and as such hold a skepticism to a good amount of players of the past decade who've seen a precipitous performance drop. I may or may not hold that same skepticism -- I'm not really sure, to be quite frank -- but I don't really care either way. That's not to say that I advocate PED use, but rather -- I understand there was a good amount of PED use in this era, but I'd rather not know specifics. Nor am I going to point to "well, he MUST be off the PEDs" (I know you weren't that explicit and I'm exaggerating a bit here) if a guy sees a somewhat strange drop in performance. I'd say with Zito you could see this coming -- not to this extent, but putting everything together, did anyone really think it was smart to give Zito 7 years, $130 (or whatever it was) million? This is baseball, not a court of law. Nobody's going to prove that a lot of the steroid freaks cheated, but plenty of them aren't getting into the HOF because of their obvious use.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:03 PM) Didn't Artie lose a bunch of weight before they went to Sirius? Seemed like he got healthy but looks awful now. I fear he could be the next Farley/Kennison/Belushi Except nowhere near as funny or talented.
  16. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 05:38 PM) Spaceballs sucked. I didn't jump in on the action, but did anybody list a movie that was so bad it was one of the funniest movies they ever seen? (Plan 9 from outer space?) YOU suck!
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 04:42 PM) Wow, that's awesome. Do the Brewers have the first bullpen where every guy has been busted for steroids? Gagne/Mota/Turnbow....but I'm sure Torres is clean When did Mota and Turnbow get caught?
  18. I like Regal, so I won't complain. I just don't understand it.
  19. I can see them throwing it Finlay's way. Punk just seems way too obvious to win it, so I think they'll have some kind of swerve. With the injury, Finlay might have one of those miracle type wins. He's been getting a lot more attention because of Hornswoggle.
  20. Do they think that just having the tournament will make people happy?
  21. Yessss, I am rooting for Finlay. But, I bet that they're going to say he can't fight again today because of his knee, thus shortening the tournament.
  22. I think I forgot to put Spaceballs on my list. I suck. Also, Bill Pullman's not even mentioned on the cover of the movie?
