  1. QUOTE (longshot7 @ May 5, 2008 -> 05:13 PM) And give guys stuttering gimmicks after they've been down in OVW for a year working on promos. Who is that?
  2. Why is nobody ever in chat anymore?

    QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2008 -> 07:13 PM) Finally saw "Cloverfield". Very disappointed in it, had much higher expectations. I was very surprised by how much I liked "Alvin and the Chipmunks". Fathom, if I didn't like you, I'd question your manhood right now. But, I'll add that Cloverfield was probably a movie you'd have to see at a theater to fully enjoy it.
  4. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 09:33 PM) I won't get into an argument about whether or not someone knows more about wrestling than I do. That's an argument that is not worth having. I would claim that I am sure I know more about wrestling than plenty of people, too, and leave it at that. Sure, you probably know more than plenty of people, but those aren't the people posting in this thread.
  5. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 08:38 PM) I've been watching wrestling since 1997, thanks. And it is chic to rip Hunter on the Internet. Instead of there being this mini-controversy because I argue that Hunter is about as great as Flair, there should be a controversy over people saying he isn't. HHH didn't get to be where he is by screwing the boss' daughter -- he's gotten to where he is by being a great wrestler, overall. Sure, there are politics, but it's hilarious to hear people rip his politics while arguing that Flair's are better. Like Flair never played politics. Well, he started his politics by getting in with the established stars, but he has most of it by screwing the boss' daughter. You'll get no support from the people in this thread in saying that HHH is just as good as Flair, and I guarantee you there's quite a few people here that know more about wrestling than you do.
  6. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) I don't put my whole heart into the proclamation, but I stand by the assertion that HHH is a great professional wrestler in the same mold as Ric Flair. I know it's chic to tear him apart as a man who has only gotten where he is because of politics but I don't think that's true. Chic? How long have you even been watching wrestling?
  7. Wow, I don't think I've ever actually seen this happen, where the two teams will start at a later date and (possibly) only play one inning for an official game. EDIT: I've heard of it, though.
  8. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 09:39 AM) Triple H is every bit as great as Flair was. I really hope you're kidding. If not, I suggest Pratt be banned from the wrestling thread.
  9. I was hoping CM Punk would come out and cash in his MITB, but I pretty much knew he wouldn't.
  10. Ugh, the Orioles. This ride was fun while it lasted.
  11. QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 08:38 AM) BTW, go to getbaseball.com to see what's going to be on EI. Thanks. Seems the Sox are coming down to Earth finally.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 10:43 AM) Fixed just for you. Thanks, you're a doll.
  13. So, with the Extra Innings package, I'm definitely not going to be able to see the first game, and probably not the second, right?
  14. Greatest voice in the history of Rock: Brad Delp.
  15. Funny that a couple of alcohol-related threads have appeared today (someone's birthday).
  16. The way everyone is responding is confusing to read. Contenders: Arizona, Cubs, and Milwaukee Pretenders: Oakland, St. Louis, Baltimore, and Florida
  17. I thought it was common knowledge that MVP had been in prison. When they said he wore his costume because Vince wanted to cover them up, I just automatically assumed they were prison tats.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2008 -> 11:37 AM) I think the age of BS has something to do with its rank, especially when you look at all of the "new" movies on the list. I seriously consider it, by far, the greatest comedy of all time, and its not even close. The one liners, the double entres and the suble genius that is Mel Brooks really shown through in that movie. I think I have seen it at least 100 times over the years, and it never gets old. BY FAR the funniest movie I've ever seen. Some of the movies on this list shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as it.
  19. I don't like that the funniest movie wasn't picked as funniest movie by anyone. It's like the Cardinals winning the World Series in 2006.
  20. It has fallen off, a lot. And my opinion is the only one that matters around here. So, THERE!
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 02:06 PM) Economic stimulus payment schedule If we had our federal returns directly deposited, this will also be direct deposit?
  22. QUOTE (CWSGuy406 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 11:21 PM) If you're in that camp, that's fine. "She's a witch!" I am, with the HOF voters.
