  1. The only reason it would be acceptable to remove Buehrle from starting opening day would be if he was hurt. He doesn't sound hurt. This is a garbage move, from what I currently can see.
  2. QUOTE(Jordan4life @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) Yes, Ace. You as well. There's been about 10 people from this site that haven't completely taken a dump on him the last two years. In 2006, I was critical of his offense and I'm sure I made jokes about him, but I always said that his defense was way more important to the team than what his lack of offense did. And in 2007, I was probably the biggest advocate for having Mackowiak/Ozuna starting in a platoon in LF (and leading off) with Anderson in CF. Or maybe I'm combining the two years...I'm not sure.
  3. You are all girls. Piss behind a dumpster in an alley like a man. The SSI parade is the only time of year where public urination is completely legal. Take advantage.
  4. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Mar 11, 2008 -> 03:58 PM) I know some of you said it looked awful but I did see 10000 BC. It surely didn't wow me like Apocalypto did but i thought it was alright. Highlight of that movie was Camilla Belle, um wow....thats all I have to say. I don't know if it was the theater I was at but the picture was kinda fuzzy in parts. I actually saw Apocalypto for the first time a few days ago. It was good, but can someone explain to me what was so incredibly great about it? A guy I knew back in school said it was the best movie he'd ever seen.
  5. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 11, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) WTF is wrong with people. What happened to the good ol fistfight? To be blunt, people on average are much bigger pussies than ever.
  6. QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 10, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) Oh good Lord. Sheik and Volkoff vs. Rotundo and Windham? Now Jillian Hall comes down to the ring to add extra suckiness. What the hell do you have against Rotunda? He's awesome. Money Inc. was my favorite tag team ever.
  7. QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 10, 2008 -> 09:06 PM) Jericho wins the IC strap. Does this guarantee that Hardy wins Money In The Bank? I'd say so, unless he wins the belt back before Mania. It's good to put the IC title on someone else. With the collective reigns of Umaga and Jeff Hardy, the title must've been defended an average of once every three months. The IC belt is such a great title that it should be defended more often. There's so much history to it. It's basically nothing right now. With Jericho holding the title, they can actually use the belt and have it mean something. I like it.
  8. QUOTE(gosox41 @ Mar 9, 2008 -> 04:53 PM) Am I the only who thinks that KW is going to seriously undervalue Crede and give him away for a guy like this or that guy Cain in San Fran. IMHO, a team that wants to win now and needs a third baseman should give up a lot more then that. Joe is provin to be healthy and mobile. Sure he's a one year rental, but if you're in a win now mode you're getting a defensive stud wh ocan hit 30 HR's. Maybe I overvalue Joe but Joe is at least worth a good #3 starter or 2-3 very good propsects with one being a can't miss prospect. There's zero reason to trade Crede for an injured emergency starter...unless you're an idiot. The Sox have a chance to shore up their rotation or get some depth in the minors in case some of these older guys break down. Don't screw this up Kenny!!!!!! Bob I think you mean Lowry. Because I'd take Cain in a heartbeat for Crede.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 8, 2008 -> 06:46 PM) Out of those 2...if they both have good training camps, Rex gets the job. Orton would have to perform better by a non-trivial amount for me to anoint him the starter over Rex. Pick one:
  10. The Bank Job was a quality action flick. I just wonder exactly how much of it is true. I'd recommend seeing it. Are there any leaked pictures of Two Face as there were with the Joker?
  11. Something I've been meaning to ask. How do you pronounce Richar?
  12. Donatello wins easily. I also have Ninja Rap, if anyone needs it.
  13. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) Favre would still trail if you compare the 5 best seasons of each QB. Like I said, we'll have to see their entire careers before we can make an accurate assessment. For those two having better seasons in each's 5 respective seasons, their career totals are very close. And something tells me that Manning's and Brady's career averages will decline as they age.
  14. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 12:24 PM) I was just saying because it seemed like people really believe this Wrestlemania match will be special but I don't think it will be. It's a way to get people to buy tickets with hopes of saying, 'I was at Flair's last match!' ... Mayweather should be allowed to run his mouth like he does off WWE. McMahon, what happened? We used to be all about letting guys amp up their personalities and Money May has been toned down, probably not by his own choice. At the most, he'll come back in random matches and storylines after this "retirement" match. Something like Hogan, Piper, and to a lesser extent, Stone Cold, do. Even though he's more than likely going to have matches again at random intervals, this is basically his retirement. It is special.
  15. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 11:55 AM) OK Manning avg TD Passes Per Year 30.6 Avg Wins Per Year 10.5 Brady avg TD Passes Per Year 28.1 Avg Wins Per Year 12.2 Favre avg TD Passes Per Year 27.6 Avg Wins Per Year 10.1 Let's see how those averages for Manning and Brady change as they play longer (especially if they play as long as Favre did).
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 07:37 PM) Yeah, those are pretty bad renditions of Funk and McMahon I got 10/14. I also had the last three wrong, plus I didn't get Special Delivery Jones. No idea who that even is.
  17. I would not recommend Be Kind Rewind.
  18. I believe our payroll was in the low-to-mid 70's when we won it all. That was good for about middle of the pack in the league. I'm probably wrong, but that's how I remember it.
  19. QUOTE(shipps @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 10:27 AM) I thought Vantage Point sucked.I like the idea of the plot but you could hear people laughing in the theatre when they realised that you were going to have to watch the same seen over and over again. All the point of views were to similar, it got so redundant I couldnt wait for the movie to end and it wasnt even half way over. Perhaps the movie just sucked and I attributed my feeling of boredom to something else. Either way, I don't really ever plan on seeing that movie again.
  20. Well, that entire thing went exactly as I thought it would.
  21. I thought it was kind of weird that they had a cutoff date for the In Memorandum thing. I just kind of feel that Roy Scheider should've been mentioned, as he only died like a week and a half ago, but now they won't say anything about his death until well over a year later.
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 06:16 PM) Ha. He has almost no chance of making that rotation. That's about the first thing I thought when I saw that. There are few teams out there where he'd have less of a chance at making the rotation. I don't think this was the best choice for Colon.
  23. I'm actually going to try to watch the whole thing tonight. I haven't actually watched the entire show in probably 5 years or so. I'm going with Daniel Day-Lewis for best actor, Javier Bardem for best supporting actor, and No Country For Old Men for best picture. The rest of the awards I can admit that I have no idea, as I really haven't seen enough of the movies that the actresses that are up for the awards are in. The more I think about it, the best supporting actor should be really close and I can see any of the five taking it home. And for best directing, I'm gonna go with either NCFOM or TWBB.
