QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 5, 2008 -> 01:16 PM) was dragged to sweeney todd. It was entertaining but I'm super squeamish about blood and couldn't watch like 10% of the movie. Sweeney Todd was awful. And you definitely must be super squeamish, because the blood was incredibly fake (seemingly on purpose). Juno was funny enough.

I've seen a lot of people say they liked I Am Legend, but didn't love it. After seeing it, I completely agree. CGI ruins another movie that could've been way better without crappy computer-animated monsters.

I don't want any known roiders on the Sox. s***, it's not like we'll be competitive next year either way. I'd rather the team suck without cheaters than with them.

QUOTE(max power @ Dec 9, 2007 -> 03:37 AM) Weak. So we don't get to see rampage fight until when? June? At which point, he will absolutely maul Griffin. I don't follow UFC too closely, more of a casual fan. But, it seems to me that Forrest Griffin is the Notre Dame of UFC. Hasn't he lost an awful lot, and he still continues to get these big pushes?

Just got back from The Golden Compass (I see about a movie a week at minimum, so there really wasn't much else to see). Wasn't bad. Along the same lines as the Chronicles of Narnia, but I liked it more probably because it wasn't as long. I guess this movie will be another trilogy or something.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 02:19 AM) Did they give you any good pain killers at least? What kind? Codeine? Vicoden? Perkeset? Hepnol? Oxyconten? Palidone?

QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 7, 2007 -> 11:48 AM) I don't think we are in a position to not give somebody, anybody, a shot that might help the team. Maybe BA has finally matured from a kid to a man. I don't know, but I wouldn't write him off because of the past. You wouldn't. I wouldn't. Ozzie and KW just might.

Wait, I retract my previous statement. The Sox should NOT sign Fukudome. There really isn't much of a chance that we compete next year or any time in the near future. We shouldn't sign anyone that will cost much money, and re-build. It's too bad we decided to "go for it" by signing and trading for mid-level talent when teams that are already clearly better than us are making much better moves.

QUOTE(The Beast @ Dec 6, 2007 -> 08:46 AM) It should be Rowand or bust at this point if we want to win anything in 2008. At this point, I don't care what it takes to get a player. ROWAND IS MEDIOCRE!!!! It's unfortunate that most White Sox fans believe he's great. It's also unfortunate that the FO of the White Sox thinks he's great. The Sox really ought to sign Fukudome.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 5, 2007 -> 07:07 PM) I suppose that would be something you would need to find out for sure before you do ANYTHING here. Maybe she's just on the rebound, I don't know, I wouldn't be taking advice from someone halfway across the world anyway about this. I wouldn't take advice from anyone on this site, or the entire internet for that matter. We're all a bunch of f***ing dorks.

Rowand offered 4 yrs/55 million from Sox
Milkman delivers replied to fathom's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This guy is going to be back to league average at best in the AL. He is not worth anything NEAR this offer. Remember how useless he was on the Sox, minus 2004? He's decent at best. -
QUOTE(klaus kinski @ Dec 4, 2007 -> 07:47 PM) Well, you cant compete with that team now, with a Jerry Owens on the field. They are too far into this with the Cabrera trade & Linebrink signing to rebuild. We simply have to catch the ball now. Either Aaron or Jones HAS to be signed now-or we are 3rd place I'm getting tired of seeing this. Aaron Rowand is not going to be a big key in making this team compete. He simply isn't that great in the first place. Unfortunately, he's the most likely of the CF's to be signed.

Wow, with this deal, there are about 5 teams that are hands-down better than the Sox (two are in our own division). The Angels, Indians, Tigers, Yankees (especially with the possible acquisition of Santana), and Red Sox. We really should have started to rebuild when we had the chance. Or, you know, made some serious moves this offseason.

Miscellaneous "MLB" Trade Notes
Milkman delivers replied to Kalapse's topic in Sox Baseball Headquarters
QUOTE(Vance Law @ Nov 30, 2007 -> 09:49 PM) Totally unrelated to anything- I noticed that 5 former Sox 2nd basemen are free agents. That's wacky. I can think of about 3 or 4, but who are all of them? -
Wait, there was a game on last night?

Percival to sign with the Rays.
Milkman delivers replied to EvilJester99's topic in The Diamond Club
How'd they get Rincon and Wheeler? And when? -
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 28, 2007 -> 01:40 AM) Ok, I just got back from No Country For Old Men and liked it. For those of you who saw the film, I'll just say that there is a scene in which Woody Harrelson is a little too good at his detective work. I'm being very picky about an otherwise solid film.

I can't help but notice that two celebrities (namely, athletes) died very young this week. Will there be a third?

Well, this kind of sucks because I can't find a picture for "more," but whatever: more -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 26, 2007 -> 09:31 PM) So VKM says the next time Flair loses a match, his career is over. Ugh. EDIT: so now Orton comes to the ring and challenges Flair to a match - could this crappy angle possibly lead to one more title run for Flair? I already heard from a friend that this angle is Stone Cold's idea, and that Flair will lose at Wrestlemania and retire. That leaves plenty of time (about half a year) to get him the title one last time. Maybe it'll happen at the Royal Rumble. -

Flair to "retire" or retire tonight...not really sure what to make of this one. I'd like for him to somehow win the title once more before he actually does retire. -
QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Nov 26, 2007 -> 04:52 PM) The Alistair Sim Christmas Carol is the only one worth watching. Period. I've got your back, Jim. I love A Christmas Story, too. It should be on every Sox fan's list of favorites. Jean Shepard was a dyed-in-the-wool Sox fan, after all. I really liked the Muppet version as a kid. And as soon as I saw a typo in the poll, I knew Critic would be the one to point it out

Congratulations!

In case anyone was wondering, Cordero signed with the Reds. That should probably be in the name of the thread.

Torii Hunter signs with LAA Angels
Milkman delivers replied to joejoesox's topic in Sox Baseball Headquarters
Wow, if the Angels land either Cabrera or Tejada, they're basically locks to face Boston in the ALCS next year.
