World Series: Red Sox v. Rockies
I'd really like to see the Rockies win it. But, they won't.

Red Sox Indians
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 20, 2007 -> 10:27 PM) WTF are you talking about? I don't even have a clue what you're trying to get at at this point, other than the sports radio caller mentality of, "THEY'RE CHOKING!". It's not choking, it's losing a baseball game to a f***ing damn good team. It's possibly losing 3 straight games with a chance to go to the World Series by just winning one. I'd call that choking.

Red Sox Indians
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 20, 2007 -> 09:40 PM) Cle is folding under the pressure. Hafner is laying a huge egg in this series. They look very wide-eyed out there. Don't forget Fatty McGee. He's sucked in all of his postseason starts, I believe.

Red Sox Indians
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Oct 20, 2007 -> 12:36 PM) I think it's more than that - I think the momentum has shifted and Schilling will win tonight. And I wouldn't have a lot of faith in Westbrook on the road in game 7. Even with a 3-2 lead, I think cleveland's in trouble. And I stand by my prediction that Peralta will make a significant error in these playoffs. Ugh, I agree. I just know Schilling is going to step up huge, and mostly because I hate him so much. And I'm feeling that the Red Sox somehow have the advantage still.

Films Thread
QUOTE(longshot7 @ Oct 17, 2007 -> 01:21 PM) Heard Across the Universe was very Mamma Mia-- story was a pretense for the songs. Is that true? no interest in Into the Wild - is there a plot? or does the guy wander aimlessly in the wilderness for two hours and then die? went to the 30 Days of Night premiere last night - I loved it! Good suspense, story, acting, etc. The vampires weren't too cheesy, and Josh Hartnett actually was okay. Good action and violence too. I recommend it. Just got back from that. I would actually buy this movie, and I own very few DVD's. That should tell you something.

Dumbledore was gay
I always just assumed he was gay. You know, with the English accent and all.

Red Sox Indians
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 18, 2007 -> 08:11 PM) That little bit Kevin Millar did at the end of the pre-game show was a joke. "Let's go Sox!"...? WTF is that s***? You are supposed to provide a neutral broadcast, and that is about the furthest away from neutral as you can get. If anything, atleast let someone from Cleveland do a bit about the Indians too. Well, broadcasters are not supposed to be impartial anymore, I guess. Remember Berman? OHHHHH NOOOOOOO!!!!

What to do about a skunk...
You're kidding? You've now let two Christmas Vacation lines pass...I'm ashamed.

What to do about a skunk...
QUOTE(G&T @ Oct 18, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) actually it made me laugh out loud in class. This is my first post ever from a class. Yay Con Law That's why I've always liked you. You're cool, unlike these other cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sacks of monkey s***.

What to do about a skunk...
No love for my Christmas Vacation reference? I hate you all.

What to do about a skunk...
I thought you were asking what to do about an actual skunk. My answer would've been to catch it in your coat, and hit it with a hammer.

D'Backs vs. Rockies NLCS Thread
I actually did predict this. I also said it would be the Indians to win the AL (and I've also picked every other series correctly so far). The only one I stated, though, is the Rockies winning the NL.

D'Backs vs. Rockies NLCS Thread
The phrase "National League Champion Colorado Rockies" is just something that really never crossed my mind before a couple of weeks ago. I personally felt that they would make it to the World Series where they would fall to the Indians, but maybe, just maybe they'll somehow pull it out. I'll certainly be rooting for them.

You might want to go to your bullpen.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 10, 2007 -> 10:46 PM) They litter box train very easily, that's good news. They also chew worse than any puppy. Be careful with anything they can reach. Rabbits are very cool pets. My method of litter box training is keeping his little food bowl in the corner of the litter box, because he seems to go to the bathroom while he sits there and chews the food. And don't think he's crapping in his food, the litter box is pretty damn big. So far, it is working pretty well. His...um...refuse seems to be almost entirely within the litter box. My question is, do you think after a while when I take the food dish out of the litter box, will he still use the litter box to go to the bathroom?

I don't even feel like reading the thread. I just want to put my opinion in here. Rowand's not worth half that. Not even close.

Many Yankee question marks..
QUOTE(daa84 @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 08:16 PM) its a very compelling yankee offseason for sure....the yankees recommitted to their farm system and they have some terrific young players even outside of the ones weve already seen...itll be interesting to see if they continue to shift towards younger players or if they sign some vets to bad contracts...my guess is posada and rivera resign...posada will get more than he should you are right about that...especially at his age, but if arod walks they really have some offensive production to fill, given that abreu posada and even jeter a little bit appear to be on the downswing...the pitching can probably withstand the pettitte hit, its just the question of whether or not the boss will be willing to count on wang mussina and 3 of hughes/kennedy/chamberlain/igawa I dunno, probably the best catcher around. He'll get what he deserves.

QUOTE(Shadows @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 07:01 PM) Again, that makes zero sense.. plus there have been talks that Bret Hart is open about being involved with bringing the new Hart foundation into WWE, which would be pretty sweet.. He's Canadian and trained in Hart's dungeon. Makes enough sense to me.

Yanks vs. Indians
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 02:05 PM) An article about Chip Caray's general awful-ness this series. I don't remember listening to Caray for a four-game stretch like I did during this series, but he ranks right up there with Brenneman, Buck and DJ as guys who f***in' suck. http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/...dcast_booth_rr/ DJ doesn't suck. And I used my 9,000th post to say that.

QUOTE(juddling @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 01:29 PM) A little Ric Flair news for a Tuesday afternoon..... COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Professional wrestler Ric Flair is suing a South Carolina car dealership for imitating the "Nature Boy" and his well-known slogans to sell cars. Flair said Freedom Suzuki of Columbia used his persona without permission in radio and TV ads featuring a blond Captain Freedom shouting "Whoeee" and "To be the man, you got to beat the man!" Attorney Eric Bland said the "Whoeee" sounds exactly like the "Wooo!" his client Flair has shouted into microphones for decades. An attorney for the dealership would not talk about the case last week. He did not return a phone call Monday. Bland said the slogans are synonymous with Flair. Bland said the Charlotte resident is nearing the end of his wrestling career and needs to capitalize on his image that he must protect. When I first saw this, I thought it might've been called French Suzuki at some point.

QUOTE(Shadows @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 01:18 PM) That would be incredibly lame if true, but so far all signs point to Y2J.. I just want him to back I dont care how they do it Or a return of the Hart Foundation led by Jericho.
