  1. Guy, just retire. We all know it's over. You've been passed around like a doobie to four of the most SP-starved teams in the league, and it just seems that you're getting worse. Just hang 'em up.
  2. I think someone big goes down tonight...just a feeling. BTW, how many episodes (including tonight) are left?
  3. I really can't figure out how the offense has taken such a dive between this year and last.
  4. This is a semi-serious question. Do we ever get hits in the first 3 innings?
  5. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 12, 2007 -> 03:04 PM) 28 Weeks Later is one of the few movies which exceeds its predecessor. It's a great film; anyone familiar with the original will love it. I hope an additional sequel is in the works. Just got back from it. And they definitely left it open for a third.
  6. Eight more innings like that, Jon. Oh, Brian Gorman's at 1B. He brings back some good memories. Well, that wasn't a very good inning for the offense.
  7. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 11, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) Great article on Garland: http://tinyurl.com/22c9ob You suck.
  8. So, are the starters' stuff coming back? I can't watch the games.
  9. Couldn't really follow the game much, even on gameday, but damn that looks like a nice line for Contreras. And just like that, only one starter with an ERA over 4. Nice...
  10. I completely forgot about A-Rod. I mentioned to one of my friends last week how 3 guys could hit 500 this year, and one guy could get 600. He totally slipped my mind.
  11. Yeah, things are definitely beginning to move pretty quick now. You can see the stuff that happened today leading directly to some bad stuff.
  12. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 6, 2007 -> 03:27 PM) I think the Rocket will get lit up in the AL at this point. I've been saying this for the last couple seasons. I'm thinking an average ERA is going to be his ceiling.
  13. Did anyone else find this fight to follow the exact same script as the new Rocky movie?
  14. QUOTE(Brian @ May 4, 2007 -> 08:39 PM) I don't think so. Really flew under the radar. It's weird because I've been watching this HBO stuff about the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight with my buddies, and there was a Bill Maher commercial that mentioned he died. And it was news to me, but everyone else seemed to know. And it made me think that most of my knowledge on current affairs comes from this site, and I could swear nobody has ever mentioned it.
  15. Boris Yeltsin died? Was there a thread on this?
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2007 -> 09:40 AM) I've been once, and its a collosal waste of money. Exactly, hookers are the way to go. I completely agree with you.
  17. I thought the bag of money at the end was gonna be a bomb or something...
  18. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 05:39 PM) Well the report I read had him at 97-98 in the pen, so even if the report was 3 mph off he should still be throwing93-96, not 89-90. Let's also remember that Masset is being used in a long relief type of role. That might mean that he has to take a little something off of his fastball to go an extra inning or two.
  19. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 06:29 PM) Until Brian Anderson Leads the White Sox to a world series , I will side with Ozzie every f***ing time. OK, what if Ozzie develops some personal vendetta against one of Contreras/Buehrle/Garland? I mean, the guys who actually led this team to a World Series. Who do you side with then?
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 06:04 PM) Makes sense. I said it before and I'll say it again, I expect Sweeney to get a lot of Ab's and I wouldn't be shocked if he earned a boatload of at bats for the remainder of the season (and if he doesn't, he'll go back down to AAA). Sweeney is the future outfielder in this org, not BA. Good luck down in AAA BA, maybe you can figure things out because you really don't deserve to have been on a major league roster at all this season. The fact is that Brian Anderson couldn't out hit a lot of pitchers right now. Broadway leaving early is bad news because the Sox aren't about to call up another pitcher. However, a trade could be in the works (now that is a possibility as I know they have been trying to work out a trade as of late but I'm not sure just how realistic it is since most teams aren't quite ready to give guys up). Until he can't hit for a good average after a couple months, and he gets on Ozzie's bad side. Or until he does something that rubs Ozzie the wrong way, and he gets on Ozzie's bad side.
  21. Who is the back-up CF? Sweeney? Terrero?
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 04:32 PM) GOSH DARN I'LL TELL YA...WE HIT MORE BALLS RIGHT AT FIELDERS THAN ANYONE IN THE LEAGUE. BAD LUCK GOSH DARN IT Do you think Hawk realizes he's a stooge?
