  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 17, 2007 -> 02:15 PM) Who do the Cardinals have right now who could replace him? I guess no one. But, they did only sign him to a 1-year deal, and you gotta imagine they might try something different if the guy is about to lose 20 games and has an ERA close to 7.
  2. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 17, 2007 -> 02:24 PM) *wonders where everyone else is* This DeSalvo guy sucks. Can't get anyone out. Nice AB for Ozuna. That was a typo. I meant abs. I was looking at some pics of Ozuna on a beach in Mexico. That was grinderrific! worst.game.thread.ever Only one things could save this game thread...
  3. Griffey has a no-trade clause, right? Hasn't he said at some point that he won't accept a trade?
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 17, 2007 -> 12:19 AM) The Legend Jack Cust just hit a solo HR over the center field wall to break a 2-2 tie with Kansas City in the bottom of the 8th and put Joe Blanton in position to move to 5-1. Amazing. EDIT: Oakland blew it in the 9th and lost 4-3, but Cust is still the man. Also, Kip Wells is now 1-8 with a 6.75 ERA. Look out Mike Maroth, 21 losses might have company soon (or if nothing else, Kip's personal career high of 18 losses set in 2005 is in jeopardy). If he keeps losing at such a ridiculous pace, do you think they'll actually keep him around for the entire season?
  5. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 16, 2007 -> 09:15 PM) I wish we had a retractable roof. Discuss. Wow, that avatar is ridiculous.
  6. Thanks, guys. And a damn fine game.
  7. Would anyone want to calculate Danks' ERA if Uribe hadn't made that mistake that wasn't called an error a few starts ago?
  8. I must admit, Jericho returning can do so much for wrestling. I've been saying for about a year now that if the Rock were to come back (it'll never happen), wrestling would be awesome again. I would say it's the same deal for Stone Cold and Jericho, too...considering they can come back healthy to wrestle.
  9. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 16, 2007 -> 12:47 AM) John Bonser is about as much of a rookie as say Rich Hill or Jared Weaver. This prompted me to look up some info on him. He actually had his name legally changed to Boof.
  10. QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 15, 2007 -> 08:19 PM) From WWE.com: WWE has come to terms on the release of Sabu. We wish Sabu all the best in all future endeavors. Originals are all gonna be gone soon. Minus Tommy Dreamer, I'd expect. He seems to be the type of guy they'd keep around as a road agent or something like that.
  11. I'm not addicted at all. Once I realized some of the questions were flat out wrong, I didn't even have the desire to keep trying.
  12. Apparently the dog is owned by one Rosie Ruiz.
  13. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ May 13, 2007 -> 11:06 PM) What happened? Someone got axed? I'll tell ya....... Chris and Tony were driving back from a meeting with Phil at night, Chris was screwing with the radio, he swerved into the other lane, and got sideswiped off the road. The other car kept driving because it was a girl on a learner's permit, and Chris' car flipped a few times off the road. Tony pulled himself out of the car and Chris had internal bleeding (he was coughing up blood). Tony went to help him out, and Chris said he wouldn't pass a test (he had cocaine in his system). Tony noticed that the baby seat in the backseat was destroyed by a tree limb, and he realized how Chris was still too irresponsible, so he suffocated Chris before the ambulance showed up.
  14. I'm pretty good...
  15. QUOTE(Brian @ May 13, 2007 -> 07:18 PM) 4 After last week, we have to see more of Chris. He should be a key to ending the series. I'm thinking he takes someone down, he goes down, or both tonight.
  16. Guy, just retire. We all know it's over. You've been passed around like a doobie to four of the most SP-starved teams in the league, and it just seems that you're getting worse. Just hang 'em up.
  17. I think someone big goes down tonight...just a feeling. BTW, how many episodes (including tonight) are left?
  18. I really can't figure out how the offense has taken such a dive between this year and last.
  19. This is a semi-serious question. Do we ever get hits in the first 3 innings?
  20. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 12, 2007 -> 03:04 PM) 28 Weeks Later is one of the few movies which exceeds its predecessor. It's a great film; anyone familiar with the original will love it. I hope an additional sequel is in the works. Just got back from it. And they definitely left it open for a third.
  21. Eight more innings like that, Jon. Oh, Brian Gorman's at 1B. He brings back some good memories. Well, that wasn't a very good inning for the offense.
  22. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 11, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) Great article on Garland: http://tinyurl.com/22c9ob You suck.
  23. College is over...
  24. So, are the starters' stuff coming back? I can't watch the games.
  25. Couldn't really follow the game much, even on gameday, but damn that looks like a nice line for Contreras. And just like that, only one starter with an ERA over 4. Nice...
