  1. Dick beat me to it. I was going to say that the more I think about it, the more I feel Frank will never play another game in Chicago. He probably won't be back in time for the series in May. I'm not sure if they come here again later, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's already hurt by whatever that time is.
  2. I thought the third person would be someone younger.
  3. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) i know somebody whose friends with one of the minority share holders. He is from Israel I think. He said that Kenny made no attempt but JR did want to bring him back but wanted medical information first. Kenny made no attempt to see how he was doing. Well, my Armenian cousin once bought a churro at the park while standing next to JR. He claims that JR and KW did indeed try to contact Frank.
  4. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 12:59 PM) Alright, this discussion is becoming too light hearted for my tastes. Laughed out loud at that one. Man, I'm keeping that one.
  5. I think the road gray is easily the best there is.
  6. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 10:35 AM) My wife loves Nickelback, and by extension I love Tylenol. They have one song I like, "Never Again". I think they're garbage. They're instantly recognizable on the radio. It's easy to avoid them that way.
  7. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 01:33 AM) Just finished watching Air Force One. Forgot how good that movie was. The main russian guy was outstanding. Gary Oldman, right? He's always the bad guy in movies. We watched that a few weeks ago for the first time in a while. They don't make those good, cheesy action movies like that anymore.
  8. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 08:47 AM) Man, I could go into a song a year for the past 10 years probably. I will just name some random ones I can remember getting insanely played out The Verve- Bittersweet Symphony THe B- 52s - Love Shack Enter Sandman- Metallica The ENTIRE Californication album- Red Hot Chili Peppers Freshman - The Verve Pipe anything from Nickelback anything from Creed Ill think on this and get back, i know I have many more Driving around one time back in High School, I heard "How You Remind Me" on five, yes five, stations at one time. I still can't stand that song.
  9. Oh, they better not trade Nick Johnson for f***ing Bronson Arroyo.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:23 PM) LOL -- playground rules, huh? Not surprising, seeing as who posted it, but still funny. Ooh, personal shot. That was really mature.
  11. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Define b****ing? I agree that Frank needs to shut up. But the guy was asked specific questions. He gave the answers. He feels as if he wasn't treated with the respect that a guy of his stature should've been. That's all. He hasn't said anything negative about Ozzie, Kenny, Jerry, the players, the fans or the city in general. And one could argue he's right. Should he still be harping about it? No. Yet Kenny calls the guy names and airs out dirty laundry and he's praised? It's as simple as it sounds. Playground rules. Frank started all the negative talk about the Sox, how he's still better than Thome and less of an injury risk. He keeps saying things about his "mistreatment," and KW kept his mouth shut the whole time. Frank started it. He kept prodding until KW broke. Some people see it this way, the rest of you don't. It's all a matter of opinion.
  12. I just watched Cliffhanger with my roommates. I hadn't seen it in a while. Man, that's a quality action flick.
  13. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) And one thing that's really pissing me off is that it seems people are gonna side with Kenny no matter what because he helped bring us a World Series title and Frank never did. That's the most retarded logic I've ever heard. Half this board wanted Kenny fired when it looked like we might blow a 15 game lead. I think we're all siding with KW because Thomas was the one b****ing over and over again to the media after he wasn't offered a contract. If one of your co-workers just keeps on saying negative things about you constantly, no matter how little, it's going to push you over the edge. KW said what a lot of people (especially it seems a lot of the members of the Sox) were thinking. Frank Thomas is a whiny, selfish idiot.
  14. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) I'm a fan of the CHicago White Sox way before I'm a fan of Frank Thomas. Exactly. QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) Well, I was the one who said he was selfish, and was ridiculed for that. Same here.
  15. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) fatass? 6 months ago he was god around here? Am I the only Frank Thomas fan left? Yep. Not in my opinion. A few more comments from Frank, and maybe you will be.
  16. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) Shut up Kenny. Please. Just STFU. Take the high road. What Frank said wasn't that bad. You seem to be one of the few that thinks that. Kenny was pushed and prodded until he couldn't just shut up about it anymore. If he had kept quiet, he'd just be a pussy that wouldn't stand up for his own team. From the way it sounds, the players are glad that Frank is gone and this whole thing could be a benefit to the chemistry. KW sees himself as a part of the team, and he won't let a spoiled fatass like Thomas speak so poorly of the organization as a whole.
  17. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) Yeah, I posted that quote a couple pages back. I wonder when this is going to hit the news? This new interview with Frank must have set KW off. It's obvious that Frank was mainly trying to jab Kenny in the interview. Still, "no comment" probably would have been the best course of action. Kenny's best course of action should be to thank Frank for his "contributions" to the playoff run, and eventual World Series, that the White Sox had.
  18. Now I just hope he embarrasses himself in Oakland and fades out of baseball. f*** you, Frank Thomas. Just shut your mouth and hurt yourself again already.
  19. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 25, 2006 -> 04:13 AM) i liked eberts review...it seemed spot on but i don't think i really want to see running scared. Just seems like one of 'dose' "look how much crazy s*** we can fit into an hour and a half yo" movie movviez That's pretty much what it was, except it was two hours long. Some of that movie just seemed completely irrelevant. There was a whole lot of junk thrown into it. It was still a decent action flick, though. But don't be surprised if, at some point during the movie, you're thinking, "How long is this thing" or "Where are they going with this?"
  20. I really like this move. I remember hearing about this guy a while ago. Was he a top prospect for the Mariners at any time? All I can remember is that I think he was hyped up. Is there any chance this guy takes that RH pinch-hitter job that a lot of people think we need? Besides not playing the OF, he sounds pretty good for the job.
  21. I agree with SSH on this one. I really have no reason to think Redding will make the team, other than he can go a few innings and I have just had a feeling that he'd be on the team ever since we signed him.
  22. I always wondered who the idiots were that actually believed the interviews were serious. Now, I'm kind of saddened to learn that our governor is one of them.
