I've never looked at those chat things, but are these "insiders" really so dumb that they don't know the difference between there and their?

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) Any idea of who the big 1B FA's are this off-season? Nobody good, that's why PK is gonna get an obscene contract.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) Technically speaking for the most part (despite Frank being my favorite player for quite a long time) I've turned into a Frank basher. I give the guy a lot of credit and feel he's a hall of famer, but my style isn't with big bulky DH"s that can do anything but DH. I'm a fan of a DH that can play in the field and be versatile. Essentially using the DH spot as a way to keep some of your power hitters healthy. Say you have 4 OF's, one a defensive wiz like Rowand. Than your DH could be the kind of guy that can play LF or RF and is a good hitter. Let him ocassionally play in the field giving your other guys some time off. All this said, I'm pulling for Frank, but he's going nowhere until he stops being so selfish and home run oriented. Could the people that said Frank would hurt the chemistry have been right? That's something to think about, I guess. All he's done since he came back is hit like 8 solo homers and that's about it.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) It's funny, I called Frank selfish about a month ago, and people bashed me. I agree that Frank being out of the lineup probably helps our overall offense. However, we need to do something to bolster our offense. How do we expect to compete with offensive powers like Boston? You and me both, fathom. As soon as I said it, all that was said was, "These negative posters hate Frank Thomas now."

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) No, get them a shortstop. Gload fits this team better than Frank anyway (you can all bash me all you want, but Frank is playing selfish right now with his approach). Not copmlaing about the season, I'm loving the season, but with the way Frank is playing, Everett should be the regular DH. Plus Gloadie is my favorite player and quite frankly he's a good hitter. He's gonna help this club out. Now if only they can get Vizquel or Freel cause Uribe is just awful at the plate (great defensively though and I still like him). I agree so much. I want to puke now, though. God, everything sucks right now.

7/21 Game Thread - BoSox vs. ChiSox

I'm just gonna say this, and never say it again. If KW doesn't make more than one move, we won't win anything except maybe the Central division. I swear to God that I love this team, but they'll do nothing if no moves are made. And if they f*** this up, I'll never believe in them again. I'll watch, but I'll never believe they'll have a chance to do anything big. -

You people get to deal with a tough loss. I get to deal with a tough loss plus have this game shoved down my throat for the whole day tomorrow and tonight. Now we have to depend on Duque and Contreras to win this series. If we lose this series, I'll f***ing cry. -

f*** this, don't even bother trying. Schilling is throwing s*** and we can't do anything. We better make some moves, this team can't do s*** in the playoffs with the way we play in pressure-filled games. We need another bat and some pitching. What a disgraceful game. -

I don't know if I even want to watch the bottom of the 9th. If we're gonna lose, I would've rather seen them blow up entirely in the bottom of the 8th. I'm gonna be so unbelievably mad if we lose this game 6-5. Soxnbears, I know exactly what you mean about your stomach. I'm so f***ing mad, that it's not really even anger. -

I don't know why the f*** I bothered getting up to catch the end of this game. I might be pissed off worse than I have this entire year. -

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) Id like to see frank bat next inning. So he can whiff on 3 straight fastballs? The guy's not too good right now. Double, I really can't write how pissed off I am right now. -

We need to find a replacement for Uribe. He's f***ING worthless. Who's gonna face the middle of their lineup now? I cringe to think of it. -

It must be the easiest thing to do to call a game pitched by the likes of Schilling, Johnson, Maddux. Anything remotely close to the strike zone, eh...strike. -

Wow, I was way off. Konerko made a huge play, Vizcaino came through, and that play didn't cost us. Let's score some runs now... -

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) he's been solid lately, give him a chance in a big situation. Haha, for a second I thought you meant Konerko. I'll give him a chance, though. He's just our worst option at this point. -

Vizcaino coming in is always great news. (f*** Konerko) -
QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) Get Perez AND Batista. Send Contreras to Arizona and Prospects to LA. Perez can be the #4 guy and Batista can be the long reliever or 5th starter. Psst...Batista's on the the Blue Jays now.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) Why not start Carl?? Timo sucks Everett was already starting. And Thomas might be hurt, too. This is perfect timing.
