Anybody who thinks Rex Grossman is a big uprgrade over Orton is delusional. How do we know that Grossman isn't a clone of Josh McCown. You know maybe throw for a ton of yards but also throws a ton of Interceptions. Grossman's stats are a lot like McCown's. I am sorry but Rex Grossman is not a saving grace for this team. He isn't even 100% healthy.

The Dodgers overpayed but Furcal is pretty good. I wouldn't bat him leadoff. When he struggles it's because he gets "Home Run Happy" and his swing gets really long. I think that Izturis is a better fielder than Furcal. JMO. The ideal spot when Izturis gets back is to bat Furcal either 2nd or down in the lineup. Izturis should still be in the #1 slot.

UCLA only lost 2 games and if USC isn't in the Pac 10 they win the conference. Plus the Fiesta Bowl loves Pac 10 teams and Oregon travels well. Ohio State deserves to go period. I am not trying to take anything away from Notre Dame. Charlie Weis did a great job and i think he is a stand-up guy. However if you take strength of schedule into the grand picture Notre Dame shouldn't make it.
