White Sox Josh replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:18 AM) Josh our hitters havent been close in a long time. This is not a bad game, or a bad series. They have been bad for a long time. i know but they have faced good pitching. This was never a good offense anyways. -

If your gonna whine and jump off a cliff
White Sox Josh replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Take a step back. We got shutout by a damn good pitcher today. Santana was awesome. If they get shut out by Mays tommorow than that will bad however a ton of teams have been shutout by Santana. -

If players reamined on their original teams...
White Sox Josh replied to redandwhite's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The expos would have a ton of talent. That would be an all star team. -
Rotoworld predicts sox to sign Jarrod Washburn
White Sox Josh replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I've always liked Washburn however i think the Sox are all set with their rotation. Especially if BMac keeps developing. -

f*** you ESPN. Their are plenty of things about the Sox to talk about or list as greatest sports moments: Bobby Thigpen's Save Record of 57 which will probably never be broken Frank Thomas The 83 Team Mayor Daily's Celebration of the 59 team Today's team They didn't mention the Sox once. -
Our best pitcher right now is Contreras
White Sox Josh replied to atrain081's topic in Pale Hose Talk
For the first 2 months of the season Contreras was our Best Pitcher. The reason his record isn't very good is because he got NO RUN SUPPORT. He struggled a little bit in June however he has picked it up recently. If you were to tell someone that Jose would have an ERA in the low 4's by this time at the start of the season they would be jumping for joy. -

Contreras must be celebrating in the dugout. I think this is the most they scored for him. -

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 21, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Yay, Yet another terrible line-up! Atleast Timo is out of there, but this is still 1 step-backwords for ozzie. We have a total of 4 major League hitters in there today. the yankees lineup isn't much better. Tony Womack in RF. -

Twins claim Soriano off waivers
White Sox Josh replied to Frank the Tank 35's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Aug 21, 2005 -> 12:17 PM) But Santana can only pitch once every fifth day. So he can win every game he wants, they need to score for the other 4 starters. Radke is a very good pitcher. Lohse is decent as a 3rd starter and Silva is pretty good. They have the best Starting Pitching of any team in competition for the wild card. -
Why couldn't Konerko play? Because his back was hurting him a little bit. Joe Crede is playing with 2 Herniated Discs in his back and Hermanson has such a bad back that he will need surgery after the season. I think Konerko could've at least DHd.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 21, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) Even with a subpar offense compared to Cleveland, New York, Oakland and the Angels? Johan Santana if he is on can carry a Starting Rotation. They are only 3.5 back. Angels will win the division IMHO. Vlad can carry that team. Cleveland is not consistent and New York has a ton of holes. It's between them and Oakland IMHO. -

I think the Twins are the team to beat for the Wild Card. -
According to the SI that i have with an article on Felix his Hero growing up was Freddy Garcia. It would be cool to see them face each other.
-
As a bench player i have no problem with it. Low risk high reward.

QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) Petition for Alex, Jason and I to just get drunk in the booth and mimic other announcers. Seriously, how can you people stand this tool? He intentionally answers e-mails about his time playing in Fenway or DJ's time in Japan instead of talking about the game. Do I really give a s*** that you batted behind Yaz, Hawk? Does anyone? No one cares about your past with the Red Sox, Athletics or Senators except old farts like yourself. You had one good cumulative year where you probably just hit as many fly balls to the green monster as you could. Your career line was .239 .325 .414, talk about that. Talk about how you were an awful hitter but still had an ego of Georgia. Talk about how you played in the World Series, and then went 1-13. Talk about the game in front of your eyes instead of the the game 30 years ago. you could have Len Kasper or the great Bob Brenly.
