sin city sox fan

QUOTE (soxfan85 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 07:12 PM) I wish he was a little miggy. I heard a few people call him that when we first acquired him.

QUOTE (soxfan85 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 07:07 PM) Little Miggy he is not. Isn't Avi the Little Miggy on the Sox?

I just got home and turned on the TV to find Latos pitching a no-hitter so far. This guy has definitely been Cooperized and might give a Sale a battle for the Cy Young this year!

I wonder if the Braves would trade us Flowers for Avila if we threw in a prospect.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 01:47 PM) I wouldnt be open to that. Flowers batting average is .137 better than Navarro and he's better defensively. It would clearly be an upgrade for us.

I wonder if Atlanta would be open to a Navarro for Flowers trade if we kicked a prospect in as well.

Albers has gone something like 80 innings without giving up a run. There's no one else I would have rather had in there to get that big out.

Just talk LaRoche into coming back.

Ha Ha. Minnesota so bad even Duke can get them out.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:21 PM) Hopefully today gets Avi going. He's hit it hard It would sure be nice to see him hit 50+ HRs and drive in 180+ RBIs.

Is it too early in the season to start the "Fire Robin" threads?

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) Latos had one hell of a curve ball today. Coop has fixed him!

Latos for Cy Young. Who would have thought he'd carry an ERA of 0.00 this far into the season?

Robin botches the bullpen once again. He has to be the worst manager in the game in handling relievers.

I wonder if we should scratch Sale tonight. Seems like pitching him here is a waste when he's not needed to win. Pitch Danks against Hill and let him pad his record for trade value. Than come back with Sale later in the series when he might be needed to get a win.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 08:42 AM) They both suck. America's obesity and diabetes problems start with these damned carbonated sugar drinks. Just say no. I agree. Just drink beer at the ballpark. And make sure to buy a few before the 7th inning.

I agree with the decision to limit the kids access to the locker room, dugout, and field. This team underperformed last year (and LaRoched in particular did) and distractions need to be minimized to become a winner in 2016. I just wish that Kenny had dealt with this much earlier. If the topic had been addressed in a meeting right after last season, we could have had several months for this controversy to blow over. It's really not what we need to be dominating the focus of the team with two weeks to go before the season starts.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) Need him for depth. Let him go win IL Pitcher of Year again. Just resign Adam Dunn for pitching depth.

Time to trade Johnson and pick up some hot prospects in return.

So our spring training record is 1-1 after 1 game?

I'm going to miss Tyler Flowers.

If the Nats sign Cespedes, we should see if they'd be open to trading Bryce Harper.

Let the Nationals sign him and than trade LaRoche and Danks for him.

Some Chicago restaurant needs to offer Cespedes free deep dish pie for life...... http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/14595961...d-signs-orioles

No need for Cespedes or Upton now.
