QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 11:31 AM) Ha, I didnt see that. Sanchez is twice that guys size too. the funniest part is right after that, he realizes the play is still going and he needs to block. He then gets flagged for holding and negates a run -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 11:23 AM) Definitely won't coach next season. Still not official if he will finish this one. I guess Matt Millen was crying on SportsCenter in support of Penn State f*** that. cry for the little boys that had their lives ruined by Sandusky

i saw the flinch last night, that is hilarious. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 11:09 AM) Also, no commentator mentioned the malaise with which the Eagles receivers seemed to play with last night. Jackson and Maclin both looked completely disinterested. Both of them got roughed up last night. The Bears played extremely physical on both sides of the ball for the entire game, I know that the Eagles did not expect that -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 07:54 AM) One thing I hate about MNF is the length of the game. 3.5 hours for a football game? Come on. You don't need a 2.5 minute time out after a kickoff, or punt, or timeout, or injury etc. Get the guys on the field and playing the f***ing game. I especially loved missing the fake punt in order to listen to Tirico opine on some bulls*** that he has no idea about. -

last night when the ESPN crew were making their picks, they were all laughing at Ditka for picking the Bears. Cris Carter says, "The Eagles have Asomugha, watch out Cutler". Whatever, Asomugha was irrelevant for the entire game -
the mugshots of Curley and Schultz smiling makes me want to cut their fingers off

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 07:44 PM) I haven't read of very many at all liking the Green Lantern movie. And I'm a big Blake Lively fan. Thor and Captain America were very different types of movies....with Captain America being a bit more similar to the recent X-Men: First Class movie. I enjoyed Thor in a quite different way, but they were both good entertainment, overall. Green Lantern, despite Reynolds' efforts, not so much. The Parallax just wasn't a very convincing villain/foil. And not a big Mark Strong fan either, except for THE GUARD. If Strong stays on for the sequel, and he dons the yellow ring, i think Sinestro will be a much better character. They missed the boat on him in GL, he should have been shown to be the one that orchestrated Parallax's escape, the puppet master.

QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 06:29 PM) And as a Penn Stater, I'll be the first to admit that this goes completely against the ideals of honor and dignity that we claim to represent. Come on, this goes against the ideals of honor and dignity of every college, not just Penn St. This is a sick crime

QUOTE (The Critic @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 06:07 PM) Poor coverage by Williams, dumb play on an onside kick, poor coverage by Williams and it's a 7-point game. Wow. The Packers' defense has been sketchy all year. Rodgers lives for moments like this though. He loves to stick the dagger in when it gets close -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 05:40 PM) If the person being protected was a coach...wasn't part of the motivation....keeping that guy around as a coach? I believe the party that was being protected in this case was Penn St, not Sandusky. I think this was one of those "bury this and hope it disappears" situations, because no matter what happened Penn St was going to look horrible.
-
QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) Well, maybe my understanding of the USC situation is lacking, but didn't it mostly involve inappropriate rewards being given to players such as Reggie Bush? That doesn't really involve any of USC's current players, but they took the brunt of the punishment. I'm just saying it wouldn't be unprecedented (and again I may be uninformed about the full extent of USC's scandals) for NCAA to do something of that sort. AKA punishing Matt McGloin and Silas Redd and company for something Jerry Sandusky did years ago, however horrible it may have been. The huge difference here is that USC attempted to pay players in order to gain a competetive advantage. Penn St covered up a horrific crime that had nothing to do with winning games. There should be loss of jobs, prison time for certain individuals, but it would be a shame if any player was punished by what happened here.

after reading the Deadspin breakdown of what happened, there should be a lot of jobs lost and a lot of charges pressed against the PSU chain of command from JoePa all the way to the AD. They knew what happened as early as 98 and the university continued to associate themselves with Sandusky up until 2007. so f***ed up. I cannot believe the grad assistant didnt do anything when he realized JoePa and Curley were doing nothing. Especially after what he saw

Ridley Scott is fanning the flames of another one of his classic franchises Returning to the world of Blade Runner

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Nov 5, 2011 -> 08:49 PM) Whoa... I respectfully disagree. I got kinda sleepy during Captain America. There was more ass kicking in Thor. Balta thought the movie was a joke. I like Thor a lot, but I think Captain America was better. I loved the setup to the Winter Soldier

i found choosing my villains to be somewhat easy. ordering them was extremely difficult

QUOTE (sunofgold @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 06:25 PM) Dontrelle Willis convert him to a reliever. He had great numbers against lefties last year. Don't use him as a starter. That train has gone and left. Make him a LOOGY. He is too damn wild and inconsistent to trust in a LOOGY role.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 07:52 PM) The guy that's her boss is apparently on strike from talking to me. He usually makes some sort of comment to me about something, or at least says hi, but he has not spoken to me since Friday. It's kind of funny that one of his jobs is to tell us our seat on the charter plane, but he didn't tell me. Good thing I knew my seat. But yeah, he doesn't avoid me, just doesn't talk to me now. Ok, so does this guy have a huge crush on this girl that you didnt bang? Or is he just one of those guys who is all about office heirarchy and no fraternizing with each other type guy?

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 11:22 PM) Ahhh, didn't know that, didn't see it. Have the soundtrack though, always a good soundtrack from the Underworld movies. The third one really isnt all that bad, and it doesnt stray from the story at all, and explains a lot of the tension between Lycans and Vampires. None of the underworld movies are great by any means, but I will watch them when they come on

My favorite song is not a well known one, it is called "Dirty Blue Balloons" by Failure. The lead singer had gone through a period of time where he was hooked on heroin when he wrote the song.
-
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 11:18 PM) Yes, yes she is. Especially when she has long hair...my god... So, she can do a part 4, but not a part 3? I'm confused. her husband didnt direct part 3, and that was a prequel to the first two stories

QUOTE (buckweaver @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 11:14 AM) The proliferation of this type of attitude in posts across this board shut down discussion and keep White Sox fans like me from bothering to post often or read too deeply into this site. To be sure, sheer interest and numbers keep Soxtalk the place to check out for up-to-the-minute new about our favorite team. But the constant negativity, finger pointing and fault finding is a buzzkill. BTW, a**h0le, there's no tilde in Minoso's name. back it down buck. no need for that

QUOTE (oldsox @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 11:16 AM) I first heard a few weeks ago that the Rangers re-play that fight routinely before all home games, even though the event happened many years ago. They're a bunch of low class idiots to do that. I can't believe Commissioner Bud Lite allowed that to happen. Does he want more fights? I hope one of our pitchers does some serious head hunting down there. LMAO seriously? Over something that happened almost 20 years ago? OMG I hope the Sox bean Miguel Cabrera for that Jeff Weaver/Detroit Tigers fight in 2000. IM STILL MAD ABOUT THAT Did you even read this thread? The whole point is that the Rangers are going to stop showing that -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 2, 2011 -> 10:51 PM) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7253092094138727420 Check out THE HOT SPOT, or just try any random search for Jennifer Connelly/Don Johnson or the movie title Second, the movie "Career Opportunities" I just have the advantage of being over 40 years old now and have watched her career evolve over that time. Thought of in another way, she was the Eva Green of her day. Just shows how well she has put that past behind her that nobody knows, haha. I know that she has made movies where she is naked, but that doesnt make her a big boobed bimbo in my mind. Angelina Jolie has made plenty of movies where she is naked, but she has a pretty good acting range and isnt thought of like that. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 03:24 AM) Yeah definitely the worst of the comic book movies to come out so far. Wonder if they'll still look into a sequel for it though. It made enough money, a sequel will be made, although i doubt Reynolds is Hal Jordan again. And that is not to say I think he was bad, because he actually reigned in his comedy routine that he always does in movies, but if he makes another one and it is a stinker it will reflect bad on him.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 2, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) Spencer, Louis, and Carimi are all decent linemen and have played pretty well so far this year. We're not talking about Frank Omiyale, Fred Miller, and Josh Beekman here. Louis in particular, all of a sudden a bunch of bleeding stopped when he stepped in for Omiyale who was sucking terribly. Spencer was good too. Even with a broken hand
