  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 08:06 PM) On what grounds can he kill it though? conflict of interest?
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 07:05 PM) Hey, I admitted last year the only reason I 'hated' LeBron was because he didn't pick the Bulls. But with that aside, this is getting stupid. Superstars are just bolting or getting traded for horses*** like it's nothing. Look at Melo last year. The Nets offer was much better than the Knicks. But Melo wanted the Knicks, he's a Knick. What LeBron did to Cleveland changed the game. A GM is not going to risk losing a superstar for nothing. If Bynum and crap is all Otis Smith can get back for Howard, so be it. i just hate lebron for the decision. he is an elite talent, but i cant root for that douche
  3. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 07:01 PM) That's what I was thinking when I was reading the reactions. If the Bulls traded for Dwight, no one here but Felix would be complaining. it does bother me a lot that teams like LA can dump their players at will for seemingly whoever they want and make it work, but if i was a fan i would be stoked. i cant sit here and truthfully say "stupid cba was supposed to stop this!" i hope dwight falls through so the lakers are unbalanced
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 06:55 PM) God, this teaming up bulls***. admit it, you arent pissed it is happening. you are pissed it isnt happening to the bulls
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 06:52 PM) Didn't CP3 make it clear he wanted to go to te Knicks? not really. Lakers and Knicks were both in play the whole time. Knicks had to break things up to bring him in. Lakers are breaking the old unit up and (possibly) creating a new big 3. much more attractive
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 06:30 PM) Seriously, how could this be a lock? How is andrew bynum fair value for the greatest center in basketball? What am I missing? you are missing that when teams like LA and NY want a player, and that player wants to be in that uniform, wheels get greased. Its just the way it is. Just look at the bulls*** trade that put Pau in LA
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:10 PM) Even worse for LA. no, i think this is putting them in position to go for howard with bynum as the chip
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:06 PM) Is that done? Woj is reporting it is done "The Hornets have started to inform teams that they're sending Chris Paul to the Lakers for Bynum and Odom, league sources tell Y! Sports."
  9. paul to the lake show for bynum and odom
  10. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 04:43 PM) I'm not entirely convinced the Bulls need to bring in new players to improve. If Rose keeps improving, Gibson's game takes a leap and Boozer goes back to being a 20/10 guy we have upgraded more than any team this offseason. None of those things are outside the realm of possiblity. Nope, still need a SG to take the load off Rose. It would be moronic to stand pat
  11. The one thing I hate is how quiet the Bulls are. The knicks, lakers, heat and Celtics are all over the news trying to upgrade their teams, the Bulls are nowhere to be found. This bothers me a lot
  12. QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) Really, no one said Paterno is to blame for Sandusky not being stopped in 2002?! again, oversimplification of a very complex argument. Cherry pick all you want
  13. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 04:11 PM) Well, depends what he's willing to settle for as a FA. He goes through a waiver. He could be picked up by Minnesota if they so choose, thats why he is pissed
  14. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 04:07 PM) Just saw a post that Chauncey was irate over being an amnesty clause player. Does he even understand what just happened? He gets his salary and a new salary/new pick of a team. Amnesty clause players should be thanking the owners. Not necessarily
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 02:38 PM) RT @daldridgetnt: Source: Caron Butler agrees to terms with Clippers. Three years, $24M. wtf
  16. Eddy Curry going to heat too. Also read on twitter that McGrady going to Atlanta and TJ Ford to San Antonio
  17. QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 09:51 AM) No. It's the head coachs' fault. stop oversimplifying things to make an argument that nobody is making
  18. quickman and milkman, stop. rockraines and milkman, also, stop.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 05:46 PM) It's entirely possible that the team broke even last year. I wont believe that until it is proven to me. You could hear people in the outfield talking over the telecast from august through the end of the season
  20. You know, hearing that both Fine AND Sanduskys wives knew what was going on is so sickening and both of them should be tried for aiding and abetting. I know thats probably a wrong charge and im probably saying the wrong thing, but goddamnit kids lives were ruined and these women just turned their heads and kept on living their lives like nothing was wrong
  21. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) Sure thing. Maybe the other side of business is if you put out the resources to field a competitive team they will come and you will suceed and make money? Don't and they won't and you won't. There are always two ways to look at things. An in some cases more Sure, its so simple. Field a great team. Why didnt KW think of that?!?!
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) And I won't say we don't have or not have the money. I don't know, but I really think we do and wouldn't have made the commitments we did last year and before in salary if we didn't. I understand your argument it's just that I am not sold on it Why arent you sold? The proof is right in front of your face. The Sox went all in with the expectations of winning, and therefore making a lot of money. They did the complete opposite on both ends. Therefore, they are tearing down because A: players like Buehrle, who were part of the ALL IN process, needed more money. That money was not made last season, so he can not be paid the money he was being offered by other teams, and B: after watching the product on the field, management realized this was not going to work. I know you love your "keep all the great players and deal all the bad players" motto, but it really is totally unrealistic
  23. QUOTE (aboz56 @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 05:18 PM) My favorite Sox player ever not named Frank Thomas. Thanks for the memories, Mark, and good luck in Florida. I'll still root for you. whoa, blast from the past
  24. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 05:01 PM) They are all IN. Sound familiar? And you are now complaining about the overspending the White Sox did. I wish you could understand the irony of what the Marlins are doing
  25. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 04:59 PM) I agree with the sentiment you are expressing. This has been a very frustrating season and isn't done yet as far as disappointments. Apparently theSox feel Buerhle can't offer them a quality season or four anymore. Or Jerry is broke. If he is broke then he should save money by canning KW. I don't see the Sox addressing the real issues or problems with this team. All you hear and have now seen is dump salary. With MB and Juan Pierre gone and Vizquel and Castro and also Santos we have cut around $20M plus and keep high paid non-performers. It will take awhile to accept the direction the team is headed and hopefully by ST we can get positive again SMH at this entire post
