  1. i agree the passblocking was fine, but the penalties and runblocking were simply unacceptable.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) Joe Torre was fired a couple of times and he's going into the HOF as a manager. He's only had one issue with Kenny and that was a few weeks ago. Kenny fired him just like Kenny fired Ozzie last year. He gets mad at a subordinate because he was called out for being unprofessional. He didn't "fire" him because he thinks he a bad hitting coach. KW has wanted to fire him a few times, but you wont believe anything that disproves your theory that Walker has not done anything that warrants losing his job. just wanted to test that question out on you, thanks
  3. Such a s*** game. The Bears O line did a wonderful job of jumping offsides and holding multiple times. Frank Omiyale, Chris Williams, GTFO here
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 06:31 PM) Guys get replaced. I really don't think he wants to be here anymore. Plenty of people in baseball and all over life are "let go". It doesn't necessarily mean they are bad at their jobs. You probably know someone personally or even yourself who has been let go from a job. Does it mean they were among the worst employees at their company? If the Sox thought Walker was as bad as the average Soxtalk poster thinks, he would have not been brought back a long time ago. Usually, yes it does. Bad attendance issues, poor performance, bad client relationships. We arent talking about a guy getting laid off by a company that is downsizing, we are talking about a coach that is not being retained. And as we already learned, KW did not want him, a few times. And Jerry flipped it on him
  5. I am curious DA, when Walker inevitably is let go this offseason, what are you going to attribute it to? You obviously do not feel his performance in his position is worth letting him go, so will it be due to outside pressure(ie. internet, fans, media)? And try to answer that question without bringing up another coach.
  6. Chris Williams, turn in your playbook and go the f*** away
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 04:31 PM) Somewhere, Roger Bossard was just tackled on the 17 yard line, killed by a piece of metal sticking up...and is rolling over in his grave. Just amazing, that kind of crap only happens to the Bears. A f***ing metal shard sticking out of the grass
  8. hey, check it out, the Soldier Field sod situation CAN get more embarrassing
  9. I think Donovan McNabb just got a "I just realized i really suck" injury to his hand
  10. where is the rolleyes smily when you need it. jeebus cripes
  11. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 10:20 AM) I agree there is a huge difference, the Yankees didn't even make an offer. Because they were told no. Because the Sox value Cooper more than they value Guillen. The End
  12. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 10:19 AM) So we hire a GM and saddle him with a manager he doesn't want. Now we'll hire a new manager and not let him pick his staff? Now, I'd probably question any manager that doesn't want Coop, but I still think you should give the new guy a chance to hire his staff. No more hiring someone then handcuffing them on decisions that should be theirs. This is a different argument altogether. Plus, I highly doubt any manager/GM would take the Sox job and NOT want Cooper as their pitching coach, but of course you will debate this
  13. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 10:17 AM) Both people were wanted by other organizations, and in both cases deals were not done. We mention Coop is so valuable because another organization wanted him, then shouldn't we believe the same about Ozzie? Plus another organization was willing to give up something for Oz, the Yankees were not willing to give up anything for Cooper. Because the Sox were willing to let Ozzie go for the right price. Not so with Cooper. Huge difference Last time I checked, there was no asking for compensation for Cooper. Just a "No"
  14. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 09:52 AM) Which is the same situation with Cooper. They would have received nothing in return, so they denied the Yankees request. Ok, so the Marlins and Sox engage in trade talks about Ozzie Guillen, and the Marlins say they wont send player X(rumored to be Logan Morrison) to the Sox, so the trade talks die off. And that is the same as the Yankees asking to speak to Cooper to be their pitching coach, and the Sox say no? Sorry Tex, not the same thing at all. Their is a big difference between those situations, among the differences that a trade was actually being proposed and discussed, and the other was just a flat out denial to make a trade.
  15. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 09:30 AM) Excellent point. And we should add Why have the Sox blocked Ozzie from going to the Marlins if he isn't seen as an overall "plus" to the organization? They didnt block him. The return they asked for was rejected
  16. Its funny that Boston gets their own Mag celebrating their four championships, when in reality Chicago was the first town to get 4 championships within 25 years
  17. This is the song that never ends, It just goes on and on, my friends. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was, And now they just keep singing it forever just because...
  18. Jones' strength, height and reach are such huge obstacles to overcome for whoever fights him. You just cannot get close to him to get anything done. Not to mention that his ground and pound game is just utter destruction with those elbows.
  19. bones jones beats rampage jackson in the 4th round by submission koschek knocked hughs the f*** out
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 24, 2011 -> 11:19 AM) That's such an oversimplified arguement anyways. The 2005 team was not even KW's best-built team. The GM has at best, an indirect effect on where the ballclub ultimately finishes at the end of the year. watch out, you might get "destroyed" by VMC
  21. QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 24, 2011 -> 10:58 AM) What has Kenny done in 11 years other than build all but one crappy team? oh dont try and drag me into your tired arguments. predictable and lame.
  22. sounds just like Ozzie. Although I suspect if it came out of his mouth, Victory would be saying "Thats right! Fire Williams!"
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 24, 2011 -> 08:58 AM) If only Chicago wasn't a desert LOL

Looking like a pretty good english translation/remake. Pretty crazy that Rooney Mara's grandparents founded the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers, that is some NFL royalty blood right there. Although, it isnt as if they tried to hide it with her name, lol
  25. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 07:16 PM) No. You guys don't even understand what I am even saying. I don't give a s*** if Hall plans to bring a knife on the field and stab Tony, the point is that the NFL, and all the leagues really, is so strict on things like this that if a player publicly states his intentions on injuring a player and as many other players as they can, then he needs to be disciplined accordingly. You think I am actually worried about DeAngelo friggin Hall hurting Tony Romo? Not only will he probably not even come close to Romo, who honestly fears a hit from Hall? But if he is stupid enough to say this s*** to the media, then he NFL needs to show him why he can't say those things. can you name an instance where the nfl came down on a player who said he intended on going after a players injured bodypart? because i cannot think of one i mean really Joe. you are crying about what DeAngelo Hall said. that is just ridiculous. this is as bad as the people crying about Rex Ryans language on Hard Knocks
