I mean, he had great (albeit young) players with him in OKC and it just never fully materialized and they felt he was expendable. I just don’t feel like his game fits the SLAP acronym. I just want to say, my thread that was closed by @Chisoxfn , who is a fuddy duddy, started out not saying he was terrible and bad and needs a wand, but rather asking “is it too early for this contract? Don’t you want him to replicate the first half of last season?” So far he has kind of done a mix of the end of last season and the last month has looked like the beginning of last season. Cubs fans like WhiteSox2023(😂) are clearly happy with his production, so he is gonna be one of those guys who will eat s%*# for a few weeks then give you a month of awesome ball.

It feels like it should be in January or February, prior to an upcoming season for both college and MLB, and allows players recovery time from their season instead of some of the college players that we have seen starting to make the jump to the majors in the same season as they are drafted
